The honey comb grid does not make the light softer though. It introduces an array of harder shadows by “focusing” the light in many small sections. Hold your hand in front of a piece of paper and compare the shadows with and without the comb to see what I mean.

Give me some idea regardig to light gadget (like ring light ) not only ring light if any other gadget it's better and affordable compare to ring light so plz tell me for food photography I am hotel management students and it's my beginning so I want light gadget so plzz give me some light name that is affordable .
