I don't know where that ATM is located, but you should report it. As an ATM installer and maintenance technician - that is completely illegal in all 50 states. You cannot autonomously shred someone's card. All ATM machines have a 'keeper' mechanism for people that a) enter the wrong pin too many times, or b) drive off and leave their card in the slot for more than 3 minutes with nobody taking it from the slot. All it does at that point is drop it into the return bin, along with any oddball bills it was unable to dispense or deposit due to whatever abnormality, etc. Including a time/date stamped record. That's it. No shredding mechanisms exist to install into ATMs. It's also why more and more of them are manual insert and remove swiper types these days... so people won't forget and leave their cards behind.

So many assume you lose card by losing your entire purse or wallet at once. I've lost cards just by dropping them in cracks, leaving them on tables. People lose them when they are using them and carrying them sometimes. I lost my master card and called the card company, but was able to continue using my visa or ATM that night and it helped a lot. Doesn't work if you lose your only card. I've also had cards frozen due to their mistake. I don't get why so many people don't realize backups can be useful even if you can deactivate the lost card.

Coin kinda worked. It worked someplaces, but not others. The biggest issue was the fact you had to buy a new one every two years. That's a turn off. Plus it couldn't hold gift cards or membership cards.
Coin did not work at all. it worked at less than half of the places I used it at. No point in having a single card when you need to carry your regular cards with you when it doesn't work (which is ~65% of the time)

They don't store the information on the phone or the Fuze Company itself. All the card info is on the card itself backed up by your own personal 6 digit pin number that you input on the card itself, and it locks itself after 10 minutes or whatever amount of time you set it as. The App is used to just add cards and manage the security parameters of that card. Even the app itself has security. Research, educate yourself before it's too late.
Someone didn't get the idea of a NEW TECHNOLOGY. If a brand new iPhone has glitches then I'm sure a new startup company is going to have one or two as well. This isn't for taking on trips, this is for day to day use where your life doesn't depend on a card working or not.

you don't need the pin if you don't want it, if you flip the bit on the megstripe tat tells the machine it has a pin then you can chose if you want a pin, ore a chip by just switching a 1 or a 0
That's not the way it works it stores the credit card info on the card and there's no credit card info coming from card to phone or vice versa because the card stores the info on it.
The idea is awesome. Just needs A LOT of work! Reliability - not having to worry if it dies because you literally have only 1 card to rely on. Security - like everyone is saying, it’s a hackers paradise! All bank account information in one!!! Awesome concept. But not good enough for now.
Just to be fair the only difference between this and what people have now is that everything is in one card. Instead of someone stealing your wallet and having 20 cards, they have 1 card. So they're still stealing the same thing, just less plastic.

Someone didn't get the idea of a NEW TECHNOLOGY. If a brand new iPhone has glitches then I'm sure a new startup company is going to have one or two as well.

hack what? theres not much you could do with this in the first place your better off just trying to skim normal CC's theres no info going to the phone almost at all other then the fact that there is a new card in the machine... and even if you steal it AND its on level one security you STILL need to know the pin for each card on the machine i mean theres nothing to do...
you don't need the pin if you don't want it, if you flip the bit on the megstripe tat tells the machine it has a pin then you can chose if you want a pin, ore a chip by just switching a 1 or a 0
That's not the way it works it stores the credit card info on the card and there's no credit card info coming from card to phone or vice versa because the card stores the info on it.

Just to be fair the only difference between this and what people have now is that everything is in one card.
Instead of someone stealing your wallet and having 20 cards, they have 1 card. So they're still stealing the same thing, just less plastic.
Even better: The Fuze has a 6-tap protection. So unless the thief knows in which order to tap the buttons, it's useless.

RatherA agree but nowadays you are generally swiping your card most places. Waiters and other retail places where they take card out of site are still a risk but that's with or without this device. Curious how secure this "wallet" is and at $130 I think it's a little pricey. I only carry 4 cards and use my smartphone to store all my membership cards (I use Beep'nGo) so this product isn't for me.

Hurriname not neccessarily. the info you put into the reader and app may not be encrypted. on Amazon for example, and most other shopping sites have a https address. that means it's encrypted.
So for $130 and a job as a waiter I can easily collect hundreds of credit card numbers.
