This truck is a prime example of someone working their butt off and being damn good at what they do. I have seen him on that show and as a former millwright/mechanic he definitely knows what he is doing

I've been watching you on Gold Rush and,, most recently, teamed with Freddie Dodge and you've amazed me with your talent and compassionate work helping others struggling to make a living mining for gold. I am most certain that a series about your and your family's journey, regarding what it took for you to get to where you are, would be quite interesting and educational for some young people to see the rewards of initiative and hard work. I'm beyond my working years but you inspire me to, at the very least, wish that I could have achieved some degree of that to which you've accomplished. Thank you for sharing with us and God speed on your continued success.

That is a great question. The short answer is yes, it's a secure place to store smaller items. We are going to be catching up with Juan a little further down the road and we will be sure to ask him what he keeps in there!

Somehow I don't see Juan driving the Mack on old dusty, rough ass , middle of nowhere pig trails to mine sites.. just doesn't look like it was spec'd for that... Nice bulldog Juan !

He still has his old Peterbilt! It is currently being utilized at the family business in Reno, Nevada.

6ft 8in here as well. Not alot of room in the Mack's from what I remember.

You are crazy if you think Juan paid retail prices for that truck and everything on it. C Tech manufacturing produced this video and listed the 3 sponsors at the end of the video. Juan earned most of his money from Discovery Channel and sponsors. I would not be surprised if the sponsors paid him to take the truck and everything on it. I like him and I am glad that Gold Rush has made him famous.

But, it's not even in the same league or anything like the "POD SQUAD" Custom Harvesting service truck that's been out in the farm fields here in Western NY for 30 years now!
What is the 'POD SQUAD"?? It's a 35 ft. Ryder box on a stretched out, super beefed up, big Cat powered 10 wheeler. Not only is it a mobile shop with benches, vises, tool boxes .. etc. But, it also has a generator, a welder, air compressor, drill press, hydraulic hose maker, pressure washer, oil storage tanks, outside lighting, parts bins .. the list goes on! And I'm sure there's MANY other trick goodies and cool stuff that's been added since I last worked with the truck over 25 years ago.
It's a true One Of a Kind ...
Try drive that on narrow roads. Its not so capable for everything.
The POD SQUAD is probably one of the best custom made field service trucks anywhere. Way ahead of its time when it was built back in 1992.
@@MrReality78 The POD SQUAD super stretched 10 wheeler got anywhere it needed to go - narrow roads, muddy lane-ways, fields .. etc. The thing is a heavy duty work truck .. not a show vehicle.

@@jamesrussell6870 I don't believe there is a service crane on the truck - at least there wasn't way back in the early 90s when I worked there. They had a another smaller truck which had a service crane, winches and other heavy lifting equipment on it.
I do know that the POD SQUAD truck had some sort of winch/lifting rigging added on to it. Also too, a Plasma cutter, a lathe and 30 ton press .. in addition to more exterior work benches that slide out.
You'll miss that pete.
