Went to Kansas and St. Louis this Spring, heading to the Brickyard 400 for the first time since 2011. Super excited!

When LaJoy first got into cup he was driving desperate and over his head trying to prove he belonged. Then he settled in at Spire and seemed to do better for a while. This year, despite being their “senior driver” he’s being out run on a weekly basis by the new rookie on the team and it has him back to being the same old desperate Cory LaJoy we all recognize!

Almost had the same thing happen to me at Loudon this year. Luckily the officer controlling outbound traffic let us ride the breakdown lane back into the track 😂

I feel like everyone puts blinders on each week. Blaney wins, he's now the champ favorite. Bowman finished 3rd, he's now one of the favorites! Simultaneously you sit here and go, Oh denny found speed this week and got back. No, they've had speed. If it doesn't rain in Loudon, battling for the win. If Larson doesn't wreck into Hamlin at Iowa, top 10 finish likely if not better. If that caution doesn't come out at Nashville, Denny wins. They have speed, and had a ton of bad luck the last 5 weeks.

If I were paying the bills at Spire I would be considering a possible driver change. Why is the rookie out performing the veteran on a weekly basis. Even when Lajoie was in a Hendrick car the rookie out performed him in Lajoies own car. I think if Corey doesn't win a race next year he's out. As far as Pocono, it might be the place to be, but on TV it's boring as hell to watch.

Corey brings that podcast exposure too though. Social media plays a role in sponsorship these days, and his is funded by NASCAR themselves. I agree with you, I don't know how Spire is keeping Corey on their roster all this time. And this raced sucked to watch. Three hours of talking about fuel mileage. Greaaaaaaat.

It's all about the sponsorship money and race money. RCR can't afford to loose to much money or there not going to get the people They need to turn RCR around. Since the gratis man of all time and Harvick they need the help. Too bad they can't get an alience with Hendrick like 23/11 has with Gibbs. RCR has had a hell of a time with the setup on this next generation car. Hope they can get it figured out soon. Plus Bush needs to give the crome horn to Lajoy. He did hook Bush when you see it from behind. All the 7 had to do is check up a little and fall in line.

Blaney had 3rd in stages 1 and 2 but pitted. The champ and his team got it all right and got up front and got the W. Go Blaney
