    Not speaking for anyone but me. I smoked for 30 years. Ordered my first ecig from China. Couldn't buy them in the States at the time. Spent $250.00 on my first one, not included shipping. My first puff meant my last real cigarette. It's been 10 Years today. YAY!!! I'm 56 years old, in amazing shape. I can actually taste food now, I climbed 8 flights of stairs 3 months ago, out of necessity and didn't even get winded. I'm not advocating ecig, just sharing my experience. The smell of a real cigarette and having to go outside made me quit. To anyone trying to quit, I wish you great success. I haven't had a real one 10 YEARS TODAY!!!!

    I am so glad I quit cigs I smoked for 10 years. I am now 14 days no cigs only my e-cig I feel amazing and know I will never smoke a normal cig again!! it was really hard not to have a smoke the first 4 days, but after you get over that hump is gets a lot easier. If you're thinking about quitting buy and e-cig and just do it! No excuses just stick to it no matter how shitty you feel or pissed off you get! it will be the best choice you ever made in your life I promise you.

      The fact that, even with such a high level of nicotine, you were still craving cigarettes is a little concerning.

    • @AshwinKrishnaraj
      @AshwinKrishnaraj 7 лет назад +16

      Senor Lopez Vaporizing and combustion are two different things. You don't absorb as much nicotine vaping, as you would smoking. There also 1000s of other chemicals in cigarettes that cause withdrawal. Vaporizers only provide nicotine that eases the basic addiction. You still have to sit it out for the other chemicals.

    • @jukechuu

      Senor Lopez 6mg in a pen type of e-cig that you find in gas stations is nothing compared to normal cigs. 24mg e-juice is same as red marlboro, as 1ml of juice is beyond 1-2 cigarettes. Also cigs have chemicals that enchances the nicotine buzz and as the tar sticks to your lungs, most of the nicotine stays in your lungs instead of blowing a bunch away while exhaling

    I smoked for 47 straight years. i have not even touched a stinky since dec 13, 2015 and will never go back. I made the switch over a 5 month period, mixing both until I realized I didn't need tobacco anymore. I have actually lost weight and can breathe once again. Thank you vaping!

    I been smoking for 25 yrs and tried to quit several times. Did everything from nicotine patches, gums only to go back to smoking again. I felt my health is clearly deteriorating, i even woke up several times in the middle of the night with dry coughs and short of breath. Like someone is pressing down on my ribs. But no matter how hard I tried I to quit. I can't never let go of smoking.
    Then My brother introduced me to vaping. Started from 6mg Nicotine, came down to 3mg nic ejuice and now to zero. And since I started vaping, i have NOT smoked or touched a cigarette for over a month now. I also felt its benefits after 2 weeks.. My sense of taste and smell have clearly improved, I have more energy during the day and sleep better at nights. Also, my coughs are totally gone too.
    Smoking is dead! VAPING is the future without the TAR and other 7000 cancer causing chemicals in a tobacco. To all smokers out there trust me guys vaping will definitely save your life.

    Thanks for posting this. It shows what all vapers know, and the big tobacco and governments don't want smokers to know... Vaping is about 5% as harmful, and if you smoke just 1 pack per day, you'd save at least £3000 per year by switching to vape. That's a holiday, car, deposit on a kids first home, new teeth, new wardrobe, new couch... lots of awesome things can be bought with the money you saved. Seriously, I stopped analogues just over a year ago, and my health is much better, my PC is damn nice, my other PC is damn nice, and I probably bought more new clothes in the last 6 months than I have the last 2 years. Switching to vaping isn't getting rid of a burdon, or changing an addiction - it's a massive confident step forward in making real change, real improvements, and frankly its time society got on board.

      *Edit - This was a reply to someone who has since deleted their comment. I won't delete it because I think the points are still relevant for anyone who is currently smoking traditional cigarettes and conerned by the scare mongering around e-cig batteries. Also, as for the Diacetyl ingredient found in some flavours, personally I think the risk of 'It 'may' cause lung damage is considerably less than the definite lung damage caused by traditional cigarettes. But, if you are concerned by this then just pick e-liquids without this. There are plenty of suppliers who make Diacetyl-free e-liquid.*
      "Refilles are loosely regulated and made overseas"
      That depends entirely on where you're buying them. I can only speak for where I live but here if you go to any reputable supplier all of the ingredients are declared and soon they will all be tested in laboratory conditions before they are allowed to go on sale. Many retailers are already prepared for this and are already doing this.
      Secondly, your sarcastic "it "won't " blow up in your face.." Again, if you buy a quality branded device and look after it properly, follow basic safety precautions with your battery then no, it won't blow up in your face.
      Oh, and "paralyzing, maiming or blinding you." Please reference these cases as I've not yet heard one. Any lithium-ion battery can explode if you don't handle it correctly, so maybe you should remove that cellphone from your ear if you are so concerned abouth this.

      I own a much better e cig that has a 18650 from a company with a 1 in 10 million defect rate on this cell it produces (one that WILL vent then explode not just vent....if it charges or decharges too fast) It also has charge protection, short protection, overheat protection. I also us UK made e liquid that is usually 100% VG and 1.2% to 3% nicotine because i only gave up cigarettes, about 12 months ago. So dont tell me what im doing is dangerous becuase Im not gonna die 20 to 40 years early becuase of smoking an e cig..nor get maimed. Things are very well made now, my e cig was £36.

      Hi I'm alive but back on the cigarettes unfortunately after using the ecig for about 16 months I come to the conclusion that I hadn't stopped my addiction I'd just replaced it with the ecig. One thing I can easily say without hesitation is that whilst I was on the ecig my chest was clear even in a morning where as now I'm back on the cigs bit croaky in a morning so in hindsight wish I'd never started smoking again.
      Good luck to you all who want to stop smoking.

      Out Of Place Ninja Is correct "get a decent vape device." I am not a vape savy but in my experience to those in need of information this is my opinion and my opinion alone. I too have also started off with the vape pen but it didn't help as it doesn't do the e-juice justice and then when I finally bought a decent vape device oh boy the juice was luscious. So the decent vape device Out Of Place Ninja is suggesting are those type mod boxes like for example Smok G-Priv. Also another of my experience after the vape pen I bought kangertech Subox & Toptank Nano which these two the Subox & Toptank Nano only supports one 18650 battery and then I finally bought the Smok G-Priv that supports two 18650 batteries. To my surprise beside the juice tasting luscious, supporting two 18650 batteries the vape device last a whole day till morning where as the one battery vape device only last half a day or less having to replace the battery like 2-3 times a day. About batteries when using them to extend the battery life never used them more than half way so when the battery/batteries meter shows halfway replace it. I suggest to anyone that's ready to start vaping to get the decent vape device to save you from all the hassle and to save you money as well. Just a advice if you run into any errors as all vapors community will tell you that you are doing something wrong so if you are ever in need of help there's bunch of help from the vapor community online so just input your issue and you'll find your research from there. Incase your wondering: I have also tried the electric e-cigs that looks like a cigarette and they were a no go for me for many reasons such waste of money. Everybody have their own opinion and things works different for everybody but in my experience I have research a lot of people have been down the same road as me so I make no promises that my experience will work on everyone as I said above everybody has their own opinion and things works different for everybody so wish everyone luck vape on 💨 💯% be safe don't 🚭.

    Couldn't be happier about not smoking. I smoked for around 10 years. Haven't smoked a cigarette in 8 months. Honestly, one of the hardest things Iv ever had to do. If your trying to quit smoking cigs just take it one cig at a time. Don't tell your self youv "quit" because your going to end up relapsing and disappointing yourself. Just take it one cig at a time. It's always gets easier over time. I promise

    I was a very heavy smoker, 40 a day at least, 10 years ago I tried to stop smoking 'cold turkey' I had 3 years of hell every morning I woke wanting to smoke, after a big shock ( my colleges and I were made redundant after 25 years ) I started again, 2 years ago I was told I had very little time left if I didn't stop smoking 50 % of my lungs were gone .... So I tried to start vaping, it works YES its now 2 years and every day I wake and have my nicotine, I'm not healthy but my health has not decreased, I would recommend to everyone that needs to or wants to stop smoking

    if you have the 0% nicotine e cig then it's 100% safe no toxins just food grade products

    • @afrog2666
      @afrog2666 8 лет назад +34

      Vegetable glucose can produce trace amounts of harmful substances past 520F, some aromas even though food grade are not meant for inhalation, some aromas contain diacetyl etc, even though there is 500-700 times more of it in cigarettes.
      It`s not 100% safe, but there is extensive research providing results that states vaping is at least 95% less harmful than cigarettes.
      Nicotine is about as harmful as coffee FYI.
      It is by far a much MUCH less harmful alternative, but 100% safe it is not.
      I`ve been reading and learning about vaping fr about a year now, consulting with people far more knowledgeable than myself, and the more I have learned, the more I am happy with my choice to vape.
      But there are risks, like putting nickel coils in wattage mode, that can produce formaldehyde, so always use Ni coils ONLY in Ni mode.
      Just saying, it`s not 100%, but for anyone looking to quit cigarettes, here`s a little list of reasons:

      *****
      Define harmful.
      Compared to smoking its at least 95% LESS HARMFUL, and again, compared to smoking where you get about 5000 chemicals in your body, among them 200 toxins and around 60 carcinogens, vaping has ONE toxin, nicotine.
      If you are going to pull the "diacetyl card" I can inform you that there is almost 700 times more of it in cigarette smoke.

    If we compare a traditional cigarette vs e-cigarette we can quickly conclude the e-cigarette is much safer!
    From the 3rd party studies, we can see a traditional cigarette (in this case the "3R4F reference cigarette" which contains about 7-12mg tar, 0.6-1.1mg nicotine, and about 10mg carbon monoxide, depending on smoking pattern).
    3R4F cigarette: 56.5ug Formaldehyde
    E-cigarette (*realistic puffs, nicotine% and new generation e-cig):

    I use E cigs in the house. The exhaled vapor builds up in the filter of my A/C. The filter turns brown and becomes saturated with exhaled vapor. I am using a double filter system to help keep the vapor out of my central air evaporator . I still vape despite complaints from non smoking friends. A fresh bottle of clear e juice will turn brown after a period of time. No matter where I go on the web I can not find one article against vaping. Still I vape. But if I smoke a pack of cigarettes they will make me sick. I have already lost my entire right lung to smoking
    cigarettes.

      bravodylan1 does the same thing id BELIEVE. Been smoking marijuana really hard the last 5 yrs and it has some affects. In my personal opinion. I feel less in touch with my surroundings, less energetic, and i feel dormant in the brain also my lungs hurt sometimes when i smoke it, meaning they feel tight. I would cough alot of black mucus up. I dont smoke cigs cause my family has deaths from them. I recently switched to vaping. And i can already feel a difference. My lungs dont feel tight. I have a clearer thought process and i am spending more time with my family. All in all it’s personal preference. Smoking anything with heavy smoke will cause damage and resin build up period. Just thought id share my experience with you. Hopefully you can draw a consensus from this.

      This is old but, most e-liquid brands doesn't put bad chemicals here in 2017/2018. Vaporizers have been improoved, also you can choose your nicotine level between 0/20. Vaping 0 mg e-liquid is inhaling vapor with a flavour. Also cigarettes has an obseene amount of nicotine, also contains tar or other bad chemicals. So this discussion should be over, vaping>smoking...

    • @gbalkam
      @gbalkam 7 лет назад +9

      the variable were identical for both the tobacco cigarette and the e-cig. THAT is by definition scientific process. Both the ecig and cigarette were puffed on exactly the same way. The main point here is.. with ecigs there is NO SMOKE and regardless of your so called variables, if the tobacco is burning there is smoke, and it is the carcinogens in that smoke that kill you. There is no smoke, nor carcinogens in ecigs at normal operating temperatures. Sure, if you heat the juice to 700 degrees.. but who the hell can inhale THAT?

    You can't possibly use any data from this test. No one will ever take puffs like that. Not a single person alive that uses cigarettes or personal vaporizers will sit there and take lung full after lung full one after another with out breaks between to breath in oxygen. What this is going to do to the atomizer inside the vaporizer is get it to a temp that isn't normal operation conditions and cause filler/wicking material to char and burn.
    Also, you describe the condensation as water vapor. This is also incorrect. Unless the e-liquid used in the test was made of almost all distilled water, then there is ZERO water vapor present. I've only seen a handful of companies that use Distilled Water, but even then, most of the volume is VG. The Vapor from personal Vaporizers is NOT Water Vapor. People do NOT inhale things the same way that machine does.
    Stop this. You aren't helping at all.

    • @iliagofman
      @iliagofman 8 лет назад

      +pupdrummer this test shows the total tar content in a cigarette, so there would obviously be less in the lungs during smoking.
      For ecigs, the filter stays the same colour so shows there is less stuff that sticks to the lungs. If this was a full test, then they should also test the stuff remaining in the filters. I bet that in the ecig filter, there would be nothing harmful at that dose. If there were about 5 ecigs in one go, then there may be something harmful enough, remaining in the filter.

      I quit smoking with e cigarette's and fully recommend everybody to do the same. but I have to agree, there are a lot of flaws in this test. if you want to test ecigs vs cigarette's you have to recreate how most people smoke/vape to the best of your abilities. not doing so could lead to flawed results (like the "ecigs contain 15X more formaldehyde test"). also you should always make sure you test as many different devices as possible.
      straight lung hits are very common with vaping, I use a straight lung hit device myself, but the device used in the video is not meant for straight lung hits.
      the fact that vaping had the upperhand in this test shouldn't matter. it's more important that every test done is as accurate as possible.
      I'm convinced that ecigs are better for you, the evidence done by proper test shows that, but this test doesn't help to support the claim.

    I once witnessed a man finish a cigarette in ONE drag. I didnt believe him when he said he could do it. He finished the cigarette he was smoking, had a drink of water then much to my amazement lit up, inhaled, extinguished then exhaled an entire cigarette. Is this something someone else has seen?

      Out Of Place Ninja I wish you every success in quitting its one of my biggest achievements. I didn't think I could stop either,it really used to scare me. I too used to smoke 25 to 30 a day and gave up drinking at the same time. Don't let it cost you more than money mate make quitting about your health. It took me a long time but I've learnt to make my number one priorities my health and family. If I'm sick I can't be there for my family and thankfully I've been smoking and alcohol free for nearly 6 years. Good luck 😉

      Battlefield Randomness What ever it takes not to get sick I guess,it would be better not to vape too but I'm ok with it if it means not dying. I stopped nearly 6 years ago and gave up drinking at the same time. Cold turkey worked best as it kicked out the crutch that was propping up my addiction to nicotine,but the first 3 weeks it were hell. It's a relief not to smoke anymore and I count it as one of my biggest personal accomplishments.

    Someone needs to test all the ingredients and breakdown what causes the massive addiction. Cause with a 3mg vapor cig that massive addiction isn’t there and with the traditional cigarettes it is very high and I don’t feel like it’s the tobacco or the nicotine it’s something else in them and it needs to be known.

    Some cigarettes also have tiny holes over the paper that goes around the filter, and there should be some tar leaking out. Many people block those holes with their fingers, and then they get more tar in their body. A very little bit extra, but over 20 cigarettes a day for7 years or so that can become a lot more.

    if he had used a better atomizer he would have gotten even better results. The vapers who makes theyre own coils uses organic cotton as wiking materials, which doesnt contain anything else than cotton. The premade ecigs .. well.. the people whos been vaping for some time would never use cig-look-a-like ecigs, because they can't contol what wicking and wiring materials are used.

    Well lets see, i've started smoking at 13 years old, that was 1977 and i still smoke today, 2017. You do the math! Im 52 years old and recently started vaping. I have cut down from 2+ packs a day to about 10-12 cigs daily. At my age I still do not cough like you think I would. It's just a cough every now and then. The vape had helped and eventually i will stop the cigs all together. Im in very good shape for my age and i always wondered what I would be like if i never smoked cigarettes or weed or meth. Hold on now! I stopped the weed and meth back in the late 80's early 90's. Anyway just wondering what it would be like.

    I started to ween myself off cigarettes about 2 years ago. Wasn't that hard. I'm more productive at work now since I don't need 2-3 smoke breaks per day. I only smoked 2 cigs per day during the week, and then Friday night I would smoke half a pack while drinking. After doing that for about a year I straight up quit. I think it was easy for me because I never really liked the fact that I smoked in the first place. No cigs or vape for over a year now. Now I just vape thc oil and occasionally dab.

    This is a good visual test, but it is still not conclusive as to how bad this is. Discoloration in and of itself does not nearly show bad cigarettes are and it does not show any toxins in e-cigarettes, since they might as well be colorless toxins.
    Again, a good start, but I would like to see breakdown of the toxins derived from the cellulose, in order to prove how bad cigarettes are compared to vaporizers.

    The interesting thing to me is that not only does this machine replicate smoking so well, it also sounds about the same as the lungs in your average 2 pack a day smoker, minus the coughing. But I'm sure that will start in a few more years.
