GaffGun | Unboxing, Assembly & Review

This is an unboxing and initial review of the GaffGun. I'll be ordering the official GaffGun tape in hopes that it will perform better and will try to provide an update.

In my experience the gun works best when taping in a straight line without deviation. In regards to your tape not being firm on the orange adapter, the booklet mentions that since the different tape core diameters vary, they have built it on the small side so try wrap it in one or two layers of tape. It will then hold firm.
Having said all that, I had high hopes for the gun and unfortunately was disappointed too. I am willing to give it some time though

Try using an o-ring to hold the tape in place on the roller, or improv an o-ring using gaff tape.

Hey, have you tried turning the tape adapter the other way round on the roller so the lip prevents it from sliding around?

Could it be that the tape adapter flat edge should be on the opposite side of the tape? You have it on the same side and I believe it should be on the opposite, and it should not move....

Charles Feliciano I tried it both ways and it slips off in either orientation. The GaffGun Staff gave me some tips so I'm going to post a follow up video addressing some of the issues.

Scott Roeder Cool, I just saw that one edge of the tape adapter was facing the same direction it locks. If that edge was pushing the tape towards that edge, the tape would not flop back and forth. STill, cool video, been eyeing the GAFF GUN but wanted to wait before I dove into buying one. Thanks again,

To be honest it's obviously a good product you just seem to do it extremely lousy so is your review.

Taury Peterson If you're a "qualified critic on youtube", than we're all qualified critics on youtube....and if I'm being critical of the thing, than I'd have to say that the thing legitimately sucks ass. It rarely ever works even close to as good as shown. Requires the perfect floor for it to even remotely work. If you have anything other than non-glossy hardwood, or tile flooring, than sucks to be you because it ain't gonna do shit for you. It is more efficient to do it by hand honestly. It also doesn't cost a shit ton of money to do it by hand either. Not to mention it only works with their tape, and that tape is practically gold because it's sooo damn expensive. It requires so much, and gives very little.
