In this video, I'm showing you the now-viral tiktok Dyson airwrap dupe from Ion Luxe. This is the Ion Luxe 4-in-1 Airstyler that uses hot air to curl your hair! I show you guys me testing this viral sally beauty dyson airwrap. I originally saw this sally beauty dupe on TikTok and immediately had to purchase it and test it out. I've always been interested in the airwrap, especially in trying the new Dyson airwrap but I can't justify buying it for $600. This Ion Luxe Airstyler is available for $149 and you can also use Sally coupons on it!
I go over all my thoughts on this 4-in-1 airstyler from the handful of times I've used it. I also show you guys my airstyler techniques and what I find works best for my long wavy hair. This is a pretty long video because I wanted to make sure to go over and review all the pros and cons of the ion airstyler and do a comparison between the Dyson airwrap and Ion Luxe Airstyler.

I have the original Dyson air wrap, and even after all these years, I still haven’t been able to get my hair to look like what I want it to. I find that it gives me crazy, weird shaped curls instead of the beach waves I desire. I end up having to go in with my straightener right after to straighten the ends which look really funky after using the Air wrap. I bought all the longer wrap barrels, and they really didn’t help. I find that if I use it upside down, it does give me the waves I want, but it strains my arms really badly because of the position I have to use. I don’t use the round brush attachment. I have used the straight attachment to straighten my hair and then go in with a curling iron, so it’s double heat to get a look I wish I could get with the air wrap itself. I just discovered the Ion and after watching RUclips videos, I decided it would be worth a try because of the angle of the curler. It points downwards which is what I feel gives me the beachy waves I want. I tried it yesterday, and it worked really well. I finally got the waves I have been wanting and not getting with the Airwrap. I was considering the Shark Flex, but after seeing your video comparing the Ion to the Shark, I realized that I didn’t really need that one as I don’t need all the extra attachments. Also it’s still pretty expensive compared to the Ion. Needless to say, I will be keeping the Ion and giving my Dyson to my mom or selling it.

I bought the Ion 4-in-1 Airwrap from Sally's when they first came out (about a year ago at least). It took me a few times to get the hang of it but once I did, it was easy and fun actually! Like she said, you have to play with it until you figure out what works best for you (coordination wise?). I also agree that the curls I get from this product literally last for days. I also have found if I wear a satin bonnet to bed, it helps them last even longer. My hair is naturally wavy so sometimes I'll use the diffuser if I want to use a curl creme and/or gel. The diffuser is awesome as well. I get the most volume. I almost can get too carried away when I use the diffuser because the next thing you know, it looks like I'm in the 80's again😂. I recommend only diffusing to 90%(ish) to avoid frizzing. I never, every have frizz when using the curling attachments, which amazes me! The curls are bouncy and shiny. I get quite alot of compliments about my curls and who doesn't like that??😊 Sorry for the long comment. Oh and I've never used the Dyson one because I'm totally happy with this one! Like she said $150 versus $600? Easy decision. They do have a sale on the Ion 4-in-1 Air Styler currently at Sally Beauty Supply (as of the day I'm posting this). Go get you one!❤😊

I have the Dyson air wrap and swear by it. Yes it took about two or three uses to get fully used to it like any new tool you have to get used to it. I like it because it’s not metal so it won’t burn your hair and it’s smaller/lighter than the other one so it’s not as cumbersome and is easier to maneuver

I would like an update as well please, i also have curly hair and i was taking a look at this one because also comes with a diffuser.
It smokes because it's burning off the chemicals that you sprayed on your hair before curling it. Same thing happens when you use a regular curling iron.

I was told that it was a coating on the barrels and over time it would burn off, so to speak. Mine no longer "smokes" or anything like that. The only time I get "steam" (on the mirror) is when I have the bathroom door shut, sometimes it will but I've had mine for over a year and it's still going strong.
Also if you haven’t gotten a Dyson yet, if you have any friends who are licensed cosmetologists they get a huge discount on it

I don't believe it is. It says 125V so you'd probably need a plug adapter!
