You just outright made it fire. I have my Backwash on the way and I am getting hyped just by thinking of this. Traxxas, HPI or Kyosho will burn if they see it.
Nicely binged out buggy. :) With that said, you've more than likely compromised the buggy with regards to durability as aluminum "upgrades" are rarely a better option over plastic, especially when is comes to suspension arms. You won't see any competitive racers at the track with aluminum upgrades. A good quality robust 6061 aluminum chassis though, is definitely an improvement over plastic.
upgrading to aluminium parts.. does your buggy still run at a good speed.. or it just makes it more stronger.. was thinking of upgrading mines to aluminium.. but wasn't sure if I lose speed..
i just got hold of 1 of these from a mate and seeing yours has given me some inspiration. well done on the build, looks like you've done a good job. What thickness is the carbon you have used?
Hey bro I have the brushless version planning to make my own parts out of carbon fiber and I wanna change up the geometry a bit...and try with a race buggy body instead of the stock (parachute). Any thoughts would be helpful!!!
Wow u still use 2 speed gearbox with this new engine? Can it fit nicely? I plan to use bigger engine with 2 speed gearbox. Dont know will it work or not.nice mod
You have to use the original code that you have used for plastic parts. Is very simple, search with original code on Web and you will find aluminum parts. I have bought all on rc planet, Amazon and rc Italia Web sites.
CO2InhalerGamer u can find them amazon but make sure they r the right size also they have a bit of play in them sometimes they will have it on ebay but they take awhile
This could be a problem, I added a plate of aluminum in the chassis to cool. Now I use the model to 25% nitro and everything works very well without any excessive heating,,,,Thank for your interesting.... Ciao
I'm sorry but this model was modified by me and not for sale. You can find the base model on line here: www.nitrotek.co.uk/rc-cars/nitro-petrol-cars/1-10-scale/backwash-nitro-radio-controlled-buggy-24ghz.html. There are a lot of sites that sell this. Ciao
Nice car man. I like the down force increase of the spoiler when the break is applied
Thank you very much....

yo does that engine drink a lot of gas cause I wanna put a next engine but idk in fuel wise
where did you buy the carbon fiber parts? or is it custom fabricated?
Where you get that engine from?
Can you put the link of your upgrades.

Plus how and what type of part and wing u use for flipping up and down? Just asking haha i wanted to copy 😂
The engine in new but is very compact. It isn't a 3.5 cc but 3.0. I think that the engine for 1.8 scale doesn't fit with this model.. Have fun.. Ciao

how good does a carbon fiber chassis works on a nitro? arent aluminium chassis supossed to cool down the engine by transfering some of the heat?
