After just 1 month I can finally say am able to solve the cube under just 4 mins , I know it's less of an achievement compared to the brilliant cubers out there , but rome wasn't built in day. I want to encourage someone who is just starting to watch the tutorial that it is very possible, just follow the man step by step and don't have the mentality of wanting to learn how to solve it in a day, it takes time, you have to be familiar with how the pieces move so that once you are lost you can find your way through without starting all over, and also as you practice you find that there are techniques that will be unique to you , goodluck learning 😁
It's 11.30pm where I live and I started with an old cube after 4pm that's hard to turn. And keep in mind I have other things to do that dont allow me to work on this puzzle. I still managed to cut my time down to under 10min to solve the cube. I'm really happy with the results and it wasn't that hard after I put my mind to it. I'd suggest anyone to use a cube that turns well if you can, but if you can't any cube will do. The satisfaction it brings after that first solve is really great, and each subsequent solve makes it better. Anyone failing after watching this tutorial, you're not an idiot, you probably just made a mistake or skipped a step. Just do it again while following the steps as carefull as possible. I'll be honest, I solved the cube 2 times and then messed it up the third time because I wasn't paying enough attention. It happens. Just keep on working on those solving skills and you'll eventually get it. Cheers from France! 🍻
I wouldn't call them brilliant asmuch as spent more time developing a muscle memorized pattern than you lol but maybe, Still good you can do this and follow the pattern or whatever. I'm just winging it cause that is who I am. I probably won't learn a "technique" or perhaps I will develop my own. Still unless it is conceptual when sitting at the cube and not method enduced I cannot make a connection to brilliance sorry. But that is just my personal feelings and thoughts. Still a good fidget game and I am not here to ruin any fun.
Lol I spent 4 hrs doing this since it's now 4am ima just stop but tmr ima learn it all currently at 6:20 but went to last stage and fucked up so started again Edit: this is a timestamp for myself
Best video I walked into. You explained how to do everything so straight forward AND told us what mistakes/other scenarios could happen and how to fix them. Thank you! :)
After doing it around 15 times successfully, I arrived at the Match Corners step, did it once and it got fully solved for some reason. I love it! Thank you again. And thanks to RUclips for suggesting relevant videos for once. Watching some videos got me to finally learn to solve a cube, buy a better cube, and keep learning to solve it better. Again, cheers from France! 🍻
TIPS: For first time solvers that are slow (like me). Pause each step or move, then mimic. Before solving, practice the 4 moves left side and 4 moves right side. I like to say "UP, AWAY, DOWN, and BACK" when doing those 4 moves. This video taught my 10 yo. nephew and 8 year old niece. They did every move on their own.
I now have a solved cube infront of me for the first time ever. All it took was this video and 5 min practise for a week. Thanks mate. you helped me cross off a bucked list item.
you probably won't see this but I just want to say thanks. I bought a Rubik's cube for my 5 year old as an activity during our 9 hour international flight. we flicked through so many tutorials but found your one to be the best and the clearest. so now my 5 year old (and myself) can solve a Rubik's cube and she loves it so much.
The last 3 days on and off, I've been returning to this video, I've messed this cube up about a dozen or so times now, but finally, I've managed to solve it. Thank you
Yea I was so close to solving the cube but somehow I managed to make the yellow colour and fuck up the white 💀 and few turns later, it got scrambled again 💀
I've been cubing for a year, going on & off with it, but this is the video that helped me solve a 3x3. I solved the 2x2 before 3x3, so I was prepared. Thanks, j perm.
My son's friend asked me how to solve a rubiks cube. I said eh, I dunno, let's look it up. Wound up here. I'm a disabled combat veteran with a brain injury but this instruction was dope so I managed to solve it. I went "Ah that's fun" started watching other videos here and Tingman videos. Wound up ordering a speed cube off Amazon that showed up today (the next day.) Somehow I managed to solve once at around 3 minutes today even with slower hand eye coordination and reaction time. This hobby is dope. I'm gonna go leave this one Tingman's page too. Thanks J Perm for the new talent.

I've been subscribed to you for a while, but recently my dad found his old rubix cube (so old that it doesn't have branding), I've been trying to solve it for a while and couldn't remember all the algorithms, though I was doing surprisingly well until I got to the third layer. I couldn't remember anything about how you had said about how to solve the last layer and I had forgotten what the name of your channel was. I'm so glad I found your channel again and I can now proudly say that I've finished my first solve. I'm sure I'll do plenty more in the future.
In about 3h of continuous practicing I now can solve it without hesitation. You just made one of my childhood dreams come true, I will be forever grateful :D

I'm 50 years old and got my first Rubik's Cube when I was 10 and have never been able to solve it. In February 2021 I set out to finally learn how to solve one. Using a bunch of your videos I managed to learn how to do it in about 5 days and went from averaging 5 minutes initially using the beginner method to under 1 minute with the beginner method now in December 2021. I only use the beginner method and can't wait to learn CFOP. Need to master F2L and look ahead first. Me and my kids love your videos! Keep it coming!!!
I want to say a big thank you and that your voice is funny at 25% playback speed 😅 8:35 is really until it’s good, you don’t have to rotate 4 times, for me it was 2 times.
I watched this video to learn how to solve the rubik's cube around 2 years ago, now my average solve is 12 seconds. Thank you for getting me into cubing!
I did just started about 4 days ago and I went from being completely lost to solving it 4 times with your RUclips video for the last half!!! I messed it up so many times I remembered the opening off by heart but the last parts were shaky. THEN!! About 5 minutes ago I finally solved it without turning on your video and solving it myself!!! I'm so proud of myself and this feeling is the best I want to thank you so much for teaching me this wonderful skill! I only got a 10 dollar rubiks cube the rubiks brand and it socks but I got a g356 magnetic on the way and I can't wait to start solving it quicker!!!
I spent my whole life never thinking I’d be able to solve a cube, and now after just a few hours of practice I can solve one in a couple minutes by memory. Thank you for this video!
In my first try, i took almost 4-5 hours and now i can solve it in 4-5 minutes max, not impressive for cubers but still doing something which seemed almost impossible to do before 😁
Arkapravo Ray can you please explain what you mean. I keep messing up the last step and I don’t know why? Please answer I have been trying to solve this cube for hours.
In the last step when Dylan says corners he means the yellow corners... So you apply the algorithm as Dylan says and look whether the yellow corner is solved or not.. if it is solved then move as he says and it will be solved.
This video taught me how to solve a cube about 5 years ago. Now I have a sub 30 average and I’m back, memorizing the script so that I can teach other people

@@cloudz4586 agree I learned in 1 hour because of this... it was quite slow and the end part was already taught by him at beginning part of video I mean the 4 move
Took me about an hour and restarting 4 times to get my first solve using this. But I kept getting quicker. Directly after solving it I scrambled it again and managed to get it back to 2 corners left from memory. Really cool how you can see yourself improve in real time.

Hi. You would use the left side if the white corner is pointing to the left and right side if the white corner is pointing to the right. If the white corner is pointing upwards, I would suggest doing the right side 3 times. With regards to the "flipped in second layer": to get it out, just use the algorithm you would have used to put it in, but with a random yellow piece. With the yellow cross, to remember where to put the yellow edges, think 9 o'clock and quarter past 9 on a clock face.
@@MrDeni23n easier explanation of the flipped second layer one Ok basically think of it as like inserting a piece but in this case to remove the flipped so if it's to the left/right just go back in the video then do the same steps as in your inserting it then just do it normally after
To quote @NotPython "whenever I messed up the final step, it was due to me not doing the last turn of the 4 move algorithm". Indeed, we get so excited in the last layer that whenever we match a corner, we forget to do the final turn!
@@ANorseHorse @NotPython deserves all the credit. I was in the exact same situation as you. I just "retweeted" his remark to all the relevant comments hoping to help someone. The funny thing is that although I was successful at solving the cube at first, at some point I consistently started messing up the last layer. Lesson learned: when you think you are finally good with something (like solving the cube), the possibility of making a mistake increases.
I have had my cube just sitting there for years at this point, and after watching many cubing videos I got the courage I needed to solve it. This video was the one that finally helped me bring my cube back to glory. This video had amazing instructions, I also love how you went slow at first to make sure everybody understood, and then started going at a more fast pace. You probably won’t read this comment. But you have helped me and so many more people finally rest knowing the cube has finally been brought back to its original form.

When you get to the part where you have to create the yellow cross, does it matter weather it has yellow corners or is it not able to be accomplished unless you create the yellow cross without yellow corners?

@@dizzle7178 Hello~ I have yellow on all 8 pieces on top. Then I got the exact piece on the center at 5:35. From there, I did the 4 moves (both left and right hands) but the piece just ended up in that spot again. 🥲 What should I do starting from 5:35? I have all yellow on top pieces.
So my girlfriend wanted me teach her how to solve the cube. I told her I'd love to but made sure she knew this wasn't something people learn overnight. I sat on FT with her for 30 minutes and watched her solve it herself. No online resources. No book. Nothing. The next evening she was able to replicate the method she used and it was pretty similar to a standard LbL method. Turns out she remembered everything from the one time I showed her how I solve the cube using CFOP. She was able to take the fundamentals of solving one layer and apply that same logic to solve the second layer intuitively. For the last layer she spent a bit experimenting with different algorithms that maintain the first two layers and ended up coming up with the standard F(sexy)F' and Sune. She found ways to apply those to solve edged. Then she was able to go back to first layer corner logic to solve LL corners. I suspect that the first time she may have ended up with a slipped step because there's just no fucking way that anyone could do that in 30 minutes but it's time like these that remind me how wickedly smart she is. Up until now, I was the only person I knew personally who had learmed 3x3 without online resources and it took me close to a week and was equated to around 8 hours time. She did it in 30 minutes and was able to replicate it. Last night she figured out the basics of F2L, once again only off of my previous descriptions of the concept. I know this is a random comment section on RUclips and nobody came here to read this but if this doesn't prove that anyone can solve the cube, I don't know what does.
Took me 2 hours, but I finally solved it. Had rubiks cubes for years, but never solved one. Thanks to you, I finally did it! Edit: Been practicing for a while, and got a new PB of 47.6s. If anyone is struggling, just know that once you solve it once, it only gets easier from there. Good luck guys!

This video had amazing instructions, I also love how you went slow at first to make sure everybody understood, and then started going at a more fast pace. You probably won’t read this comment. But you have helped me and so many more people finally rest knowing the cube has finally been brought back to its original form.
same bro my cube has been sitting in my room for like 2 years
XD
bruh same my cube was just there in my room looking me ASKING TO BE SLOVED but my little brain here couldn't and i just left it like that but after i started watching cubing videos and started to feel like trying to solve that cub and i started and i was better and i saw this vid haven't try the moves but as i'm typing this i'm grabbing cub with all hop of me solving the cub wish me luck
Yeah same. Not for years tho. I've already did everything except the last layer, i did the top cross and did 2 corners, it's so confusing. But after i solve it i want to try solve it on my own, without any help. I doubt i can do that though.
@@adham7057 you can easily do that i started 2 yard ago didn't do for 1yr (yeh started in lockdown)

Learned how to do this in 4 hours. Thank you to the goat.
It took a hour but I memorized it. Life long goal achieved!
only an hourrr ? 😭
It took me all day. I almost had it 3 or 4 times, but somehow I screwed it up. I finally got it though. I'm gonna frame this sucker. It only took me 41 years total. I'm not kidding. I was around when they first came out.
Welcome to the cubing community!

I'm 54, always been baffled by the dreaded Rubiks, since it was first introduced when I was at school. FINALLY I COMPLETED IT TODAY !!!

I seen a guy in the comments say that his cube that he got on his 8th birthday had been finally solved, and he’s 27 lmao
After 2 days of throwing the cube in anger I finally solved the cube!
can u do a video on how

Omg you're a lifesaver, I knew how to solve rubiks cube back then, but idk how to do the last steps, but one day, I decided to learn it and u taught me so well. Thank youu! 💕
Because of this tutorial I finally solved my rubick's cube. As I was celebrating I went to high five my sister, dropped it and *smashed it on the floor*

Why cant no beginner say rubiks correctly?

D Wills chill bro :/
D Wills you listen to lil pump calm down
When you get to the part where you have to create the yellow cross, does it matter weather it has yellow corners or is it not able to be accomplished unless you create the yellow cross without yellow corners?

This doesn't work
@@whydo_ilive3460 It does
Step 5 doesn't always work it works with pure luck. The first 2 times trying it worked well and now I'm trying to do it and did the moves he asked me to about 10 times with no result

My whole life, I’ve wanted to solve a Rubik’s cube. Now I finally did and I am so proud of myself. All it took was a lot of practice, step by step, and patience. Thank you so much!

thank you so much for this amazing visualization. i used to be able to solve a 3x3 after being taught by my dad but for the life of me couldn't remember how to do the last layer now that i was trying it again after quite a few years. actual life saver because this would have plagued me forever, and i just can't understand those algorithms without getting confused
I am not gonna lie... i have seen this video soo many times that when i reach the last corner part... I hear your voice in my head "this one is not in the right spot... This one issss in the right spot" 😂😂... But thanks, i know how to solve the cube 👍👍

Hi omg same I'm stuck there. 😅 By this time, have you figured out how? If so, can you please explain it 🙏
if u guys figure it out pls lmk bc im so lost 😭
Same problem! I have to rescramble until there aren’t any yellow edges on the top layer. Otherwise I don’t know how to move them - everything else is explained so well in this tutorial!
@@aira_ev i did the 4 moves and it worked for me lmao
That’s Cool!
Thats pretty cool, but you just said that your girl is smart and then said if she can do it everyone can and i see it kind of contradicting
I enjoyed reading this. Thanks for sharing. It made my day.
