Doing good thanks for asking, decided to list my house for sale in the hopes of finding something with a larger garage. That has been consuming a lot of my time, and patience. It really is a lot to deal with I am learning. I will be back to playing cars here very soon the original VVG or new and improved location we shall see
Well look at that a vvg video on Saturday morning reminds me back in the days when I was a kid and couldn't wait till Saturday to watch the cartoons it's a great feeling seeing an update video on the Mockingbird brother and thank you for sharing the troubles with the stock gauges I would like to order a pair myself but if there is complications I think I'll stay away for it for now
Thanks buddy. I miss Saturday morning cartoons. I believe the manufacturer will get the gauges corrected soon, these are a great addition to a Firebird.
Another great vid, on an often overlooked part. Many people figure they either work or they don't, then just install the parts store triple gauge setup. BTW I'm guessing you misspelled gauge 'g-u-a-g-e on your thumbnail, just to get additional comments you sneak!
Well the misspelling was not intentional as much as I want to say it was. It’s actually what happens when you are dead tired and realized I forgot to finish editing Fridays video and push to get it done. 🤷♂️🤦♂️😂

Very good info on this video brother. My 67 gas gauge goes way past full when the tank is full. Like all the way over to 3 o’clock. Any thoughts on what could cause that? Gauge works and stops at empty but goes well past full.
Well if it reads empty when empty the gauge is calibrated right and wiring should be good. My guess is and unfortunately i can’t say for sure is one of two things. Some gauges have a stop and it’s missing or if that is not the case the sending unit in the tank is operating out of range instead of 0-100 ohms it’s 0-like 200 ohms way higher then it should be. You can test it by pulling the tan wire back by the trunk latch and test resistance to ground of the sending unit when it’s full it should be very close to 100 ohms. If it’s way higher then sending unit has an issue that needs investigating.
Hello Jon, hope all is well with you and your family. Miss your smiling face and humorous and informative videos.
Take care.

Very informative video! Never would’ve thought to check the gauges before doing the entire install! Thank you!
This is especially helpful if buy a set of used gauges to make sure they work before trying to install.
Great tip! I remember the gauge cluster being difficult to remove!
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for sharing. Pre-install testing can save a lot of time later. Will definitely use this before installing gauges.
You're welcome! I have been burned by assuming a few times so for me testing is the way to go
Excellent video Jon, keep up the great work!
Thanks. I have a set of working gauges now for the stacked unit so I get to put them in and finish up the interior
I've been cannibalizing this to my Lemans resto. Really appreciate you blazing the trails, Amigo
Me too, mines a 67 Lemans.
Great to hear! Most of this applies to most cars from this era. Glad to know more Pontiacs are being saved!
Good information....thanks you....🔧🔧👍
No problem 👍
Thanks John, great video 👍🏽
Thanks! It’s easy enough to test so if you buy a set if used gauges you can confirm their condition
Thanks Jon. That's the problem I had. Ds.
You have a stacked gauge set too?

@jonjones-v5d it’s cool. I am far from perfect and welcome input.

Cool thanks for the info
Can you flip the scale face?
Can it be repositioned yes but the issue is the gauge still swings clockwise when I operating
