    Ill be honest I feel that the ability that Modders of RBR can do is amazing Code Masters have the advantage of taking straight from the real source directly.

    • @imagineracer
      @imagineracer  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yep, Codemasters have a huge advantage over modders. They have official WRC license and access to rallt cars.
      And the work done by the RBR modders with engine sounds is amazing 95 percent of the time.
      And if they have the opportunity to improve the quality or completely replace other sounds in the game, I think everyone will benefit from this.

      RBR Modders have the advantage of freely taking anything from everywhere... all the internet is free source.

    In what RBR is good is when the car is approaching the sound interacts with trees and surroundings

    3:03 note that the engine sound isn't from the yaris , but a port from an other WRC 1.6 car. it's the same for alot of cars.

      Thanks for your opinion. But what I think, of all 12 cars, only Skoda Fabia was not brought to fruition by Codemasters. This is where I don't hear enough of the Skoda Fabia. By the way, this is not a standard Skoda in RBR. This is the Skoda from the latest updates, and I really liked this version.

    Quite a few mistakes to point out:
    1. In "Toyota Yaris WRC" part you're using the Fiesta WRC19 sound on the Yaris in RBR and Yaris Rally1 model in EAWRC and WRCG
    2. In "Hyundai i20N" part you're using a real-life reference of a Hyundai i20 WRC from 2014 which doesn't match the i20N Rally2 at all
    3. In "Ford Fiesta R5" part you're using the Fiesta WRC 2019 in RBR and WRCG which doesn't match a Fiesta R5 at all
    4. In "Subaru Impreza 555" part you're using a real-life reference video of a 1998 Impreza S5 WRC which doesn't match the Impreza 555 Gr.A in RBR and EAWRC clips; only WRCG features an Impreza S5 WRC there
    5. In "Mitsubishi Lancer Evo" part you're using a real-life reference of a Lancer Evo X R4, but yet somehow decided to use Lancer Evo II Gr.A in RBR and Lancer Evo VI WRC in EAWRC and WRCG
    6. In "Porsche 911" part you used a 911 SC RS model in EAWRC that isn't comparable with the GT3 model

      came here to say this, this video is completely invalid if you can't use the correct cars

      1. This is Toyota Yaris WRC 2018 (380bhp / 600rpm). You're wrong about this. I don't even know why you decided I used Fiesta WRC19 here. Man, I was tolerant of your request to delete my video about the comparison with Dirt Rally 2.0. I wasn't trying to offend your favorite game.
      2. Yep, not a perfect match here, Rally Legend 2016 - Hyundai i20 WRC - ruclips.net/video/CnJJ4DQi5nE/видео.html
      This is the closest version to Hyundai i20N I could find. Hyundai i20 Coupre WRC 2017 actually sounds more like the version from my comparison.
      3. Yes, it's Fiesta WRC 2019, I chose this option because it correlates with Ford Fiesta WRC from EA WRC.
      Here is the original - ruclips.net/video/ei01OckrjY4/видео.html
      4. In these games cars from different years (1993 vs 1995 vs 1997), it is impossible to find a perfectly accurate version for all games. And this is the highest quality video I could find.
      5. You know, I had Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI onboard video. But in the end I used another video.This is an honest mistake.
      Okay, you're right, this video needs adjustments and edits. Once I have enough time, I will try to make a more accurate comparison video (but I won't delete this one).

      @@imagineracer Regarding the 1. point, yes, the car model you're using in RBR is the Toyota Yaris WRC but the sound is from a Fiesta WRC19. Trust me I know what I'm talking about, I'm one of the creators of majority of those RBR FMOD sounds.
      Also I haven't ever asked you to delete any video so not sure what you're talking about there bud.
      Oh, and regarding the 3. point I just found it weird why you used a Fiesta WRC in RBR and WRCG and the correct Fiesta R5 in EAWRC, considering that both RBR and WRCG also have the correct Fiesta R5 model.

    • @TheIRAmike

      @eracer What compels a man to choose an IRL Fiesta R5 video as comparison against a Fiesta WRC in Game1 and another Fiesta WRC in Game2? Might as well compare the sound of a 2006 Audi Quattro TDI to the Audi Sport Quattro GrpB. Closest I could find, won't delete this one :^)

    • @imagineracer
      @imagineracer  6 месяцев назад

      Did I change the sound for this car? Why, how? I have no reason not to trust you. Perhaps this is just a bug, and now everyone has the wrong sound from Toyota Yaris WRC.
      If it wasn't you, then I apologize. A person with the same avatar wrote to me, and after my answer, he deleted the comment. I should have a copy of this comment in my email. I'll look for this comment when I have time.
      Regarding the 3 you are right. I'll make a more accurate comparison in the future.

    Very enjoyable video. Some nice real-life rally clips.
    1 thing I would say, though, is the sound from the real clips is the sound that the camera recording can capture. It doesnt dipict the actual sound that you would hear if you were actually sitting in the car and I think this is the mistake that game developers make. They get the actual recording of the sound inside the real car and use that, but we dont hear a recording of a sound when we drive rally cars. They need to alter and beef the recorded sound up and make it sound as as though we are hearing what we would actually hear and not make it sound like what is picked up by a recording mic.
    Graphics in games have come so far and are really blurring the lines of looking like a game and real life. I think audio in driving games has been overlooked and left behind in that regard. Game developers really need to up the realism of sound design in games.

  • @10weslleynereu
    @10weslleynereu 6 месяцев назад +5

    I always found that the mixing in rbr is a lot "flat" while the other games use better the range of frequencys - mainly the low ones. Thats what strikes me as being "worst" than the others
    PS: generations audio is garbage, u cant get worst than that 😅

      @@imagineracer No complaints at all actually it's really great man. The Moza handbrake is great as well. The shifter should arrive any day now in Swedish stores so I might pick it up soon. I did record some videos just haven't had time to upload yet, had pc issues so had to reformat pc but I will try put out some soon.
      Sound in games are so important for immersion, you are like me, a game rise or falls with the sounds. And that goes for any game type not just racing.

      @imagineracer  5 месяцев назад

      Cool, happy for you. And I continue to save for my Moza. So far I only replaced the graphics card.
      Judging by the reviews, the shifter looks pretty decent for a starting option.
      It takes a long time for the shifter to get to Sweden. More than a month has already passed.
      Yes, I'm very picky about sound quality. And I would really like to improve the peripheral sounds in the RBR.
      I have no complaints about the engine sound (in most cases). To be honest, the modders did their best here. And the realism of this sound is provided by the source. As I understand it, they used open sources, as I do in this video.
      By the way, have you tried RBR with a steering wheel? This is perhaps my biggest expectation.

      It also seems to me that many cars have a more interesting sound in Dirt Rally 2.0. But I took the latest game from Codemasters because it has more official rally cars. And in terms of sound quality, these are still the same Codemasters.

    Mitsubishi Evo from EA WRC doesn't rev that high in reality , id say that rbr is closer to reality because if you hear the car irl , its much more growly , doesn't add up that if you hear the car from 3rd person ea wrc and reality sounds almost nothing alike, at most the evo sound in wrc sound like a street tuner or hillclimb iirc the 4g63t doesn't sound like that unless modified certain way.
    other than that it was nice comparison.
