Hi Neighbors! I do hope that you get the chance to try this one out. It was SO good (has to be in my Top-3 now) that we made a second batch today! I forgot to mention in the video but this will produce a 4-person serving. Bon Appetit ya'll. >> If you want anchovy-kelp broth packets, find them here: gochujar.com/products/hae-tongryeong-100-moms-seafood-broth-packs-3-varieties >> Or if you want to eat it extra hot - find the Ttukbaegi Bowl here: gochujar.com/products/clean-ttukbaegi-bowl
I made this recipe today and I absolutely love it! Its perfect for this rainy chilly New England day. Thank you so much for sharing. I don't comment very often, but I love your channel. I am wicked thankful for all the wonderful recipes that you share with us.
This was such a simple but yet flavorful explosion!!! Definitely a 5star recipe!! This was so so delicious. I will definitely make again. I can't believe I was missing this all my life!!
Made this today. I know it’s hot and miserable but my daughter wanted something hommie and I thought “ why not your home “ lol. It was great! Made a cucumber side dish and rice. Was a match made in Heaven. Thanks for the recipe.
I had this some time back when I was part of a crew for an event in Gwangju (crew were given meals in a makeshift kitchen/cafeteria set up in a hall), and I could never forget the taste of it, even though it has less ingredients compared to yours. Thank you Dan-Yul for this recipe!
@@FutureNeighbor it was a worship event organised by a group of churches. I've always enjoyed Korean food, but that trip to Gwangju brought it up to the next level!
@@FutureNeighbor yes very stormy weather, is typical this time of the year, especially in the afternoon, hot humid mornings, and stormy afternoons, so your soup is perfect for it
ooooo we're about to go to H mart today. Definitely gonna try this out EXTREMELY soon! I wish we could smell the food through the screen. It looks amazing. Also, did you just use a calculator instead of your timer? I SAW THAT
I LOVE this recipe!! I literally make it and watch this almost every week !! I was looking for a bean sprout soup today for my kids and I noticed you guys don't have one. Can you make a vid please ??
More mushroom recipes, guys! There's a big promotion for Korean produce in our local grocery stores and they have loads of different mushrooms. They even have the mini King Oyster mushrooms.
Oh it looks so good! Thank you for the new recipe! I was going to go to my asian supermarket soon to get radish anyway so I'll make sure to buy double! 😊 have a good day!
I wanna eat this so bad 😭 It's hot in my country right now, but I've been sick and I could do some delicious stew or comfort soup today. This looks delicious!
I LITERALLY happened onto your videos because I wanted Ox bone hangover soup and your video popped up. Lol. I told my husband I like your videos from other cooking ones because you get to the chase instead of talking for 30 minutes THAN cook 😂😂
"that coffee lady" was served coffee at undrinkable temperatures - the company knew it was brewing and serving it too hot and she was not the first lawsuit, but McDonald's just dealt with it as a cost of doing business. McDonald's lowered the temperature it served coffee at after that lawsuit. She was burned so badly her labia fused together - it wasn't a frivolous lawsuit or anything. I hate seeing people refer to it as an example of Americans suing frivolously.
@@MissTam2000 Yeah all her suit was for was medical bills, but the court determined that McDonald's was being reckless/irresponsible and awarded higher damages (a day's worth of coffee sales, I think)
Yes McDonalds spent millions to sway the media/news and take control of the narrative so that we now believe (falsely) that the lady was suing greedily and the true story is just barely coming out
Thank you for sharing this with us. I am subbing and joining your membership, because you really care about all of us out here. You want us to succeed. So, thank you. New subber & new joiner.

Dan-yul, I have a question, please. Is the peel on the radish okay to eat? I usually don't peel vegetables because most of the nutrients and much of the fiber are in the peel. I'm not familiar with Korean radish so I am not sure if it's okay to eat the peel, so thus far I've been peeling it. By the way, did you know the peel on kiwi is perfectly edible and tasty? (I only learned this about a year ago.) That soup looks incredible. And I sooooo want that serving bowl. Be well, Katie and Dan-yul. Please stay safe. Lisa in Phoenix, Arizona, USA
I looooove korean food, but we do not have them in Iraq :( we only got Raymen noodles but i guess there one or two markets in my city where they do not supply all the time, each couple of month I may find them otherwise there is nothing unfortunately.
This is a good recipe but, depending on what season you buy radish the flavor of the stew can taste different. If you taste the radish and it’s sweet then it’s good. But if the radish is a bit bitter, then adding sugar to taste will make a difference!
When a Korean person tells you something is spicy, BELIEVE THEM!!! Also, that lady with the McD lawsuit had 3rd degree burns on her legs. She was in a hospital for months. It is often painted out as the mother of all frivolous lawsuits but it was anything but.
Can I substitute the korean raddish with just normal raddish? I can't seem to find it here... My boyfriend is korean and I really want to cook this for him ❤
I am a huge fan of your recipes (especially the cucumber kimchi and kimchi pancakes) but I wonder why you are using unhealthy red meat for your stew. I really am just curious and I don't want to criticize your work nor I want to offend anyone, I do eat meat myself but only in extremely rare occasions red meat. Keep the channel up, I really appreciate your videos!
Daniel: set a timer for 30 minutes
Daniel: *opens calculator*

I saw that. 😂 Daniel, I don't think that timer is going to work.
Omg so funny. ...... I was like aaaaa that’s a calculator ....SMH
He does that a lot, haha!

Love this guy! His voice is cool 😎
That looks so yummy!
Uhhh I'm so jealous!! Wish I could have a bowl!!
I don't have that soup bag you put in first, what can I replace and use instead of that?
When you cook with chopsticks, do you have a particular pair for cooking, or do you use standard wooden chopsticks? :) Thank you.
Looks absolutely delicious!! Will definitely make this

@Emm Vhee I agree. I think she did ask for McDonald's to pay for her medical bills. It's the least they could have done.
@@MissTam2000 Yeah all her suit was for was medical bills, but the court determined that McDonald's was being reckless/irresponsible and awarded higher damages (a day's worth of coffee sales, I think)

Japanese daikon comes pretty close

I love Korean radish. This looks delicious. 🙂

I can't get Korean radish in my area. Could find another eastern radish after driving an hour, but what's the best substitute from a western market?
ilike56K - how about Daikon?

If I use normal radish it’s ok?
What is the "soup soy sauce" called in Korean?

can i replace the radish with potato?
What soy sauce soup thing did you use ?

Try to find Japanese Daikon Radish - this will be the closest substitute.
