- I've got lots of tapes & DVD's I've bought from collectors & found this clip. I looked & I didn't see this on RUclips. EDIT: Through a forum member on Getbig I found out part of this is on youtube & it's from Finland in 1972. It's old and grainy but anything with Arnold is cool in my eyes.

Pfft, there’s no money in being a bodybuilding judge! Arnold is focussed on success. He hosts/promotes/runs competitions to make money. Judging can be left to the losers who can’t be champions…

The irony is that Arnold never used any Weider products. Any suppliments Weider did give him he gave away for free others in the gym. He used Blairs protien powder, which he and most other pros thought was superior.
Weider's products were garbage. But then again most all supplements are !!!! I remember drinking his weight gainer back in 1984 and me and my friend both vomited in my backyard simultaneously .
What a motivator... He picked up that single weight like a frisbee lol..

it cannot be denied roids WILL produce side effects, Arnold was able to have kids no problem but aside from the very private medical details the obvious one to date is the 3rd yes 3rd heart surgery he had and none of em are minor procedures ! was it all worth it ...hell fuck yea it all was especially since some of his peers are dead that he competed with and died young his genetics were made for bodybuilding

Joseph, Most of it comes down to genetics. If it was just training you would have 1000's of Arnold's. Of course he did use roids but anyone can improve their body without them. I started weak & only 110 pounds but over 4 1/2 years got up to a solid 200 pounds. Just be the best you can be & don't worry about comparing yourself. You only need to train hard for a little over an hour & make sure your recuperated before you train again. You grow while your resting & eating food to help you put on muscle. I overtrained bad when I 1st started doing my whole body 3 times a week. I later learned after working a bodypart hard to give that bodypart 4 or 5 days rest before I hit it again. That;s when I made my best gains.

Go to a doctor 1st that deals in hormone therapy because you could have low test & he can give you real stuff. Even young guys can have low Test. Most doctors give a shot every 21 days which means they don't know what they are doing. For TRT you need a shot every 7 days to keep levels steady. I've had lots of friends do several cycles & you lose everything once you get off. If you are on the thin side try eating more to gain. A simple training method is after your warm up sets use 1 or 2 growing sets where you give it your all. Use a weight you can get 8-12 reps. Once you hit 12 reps, up the weight your next workout on that bodypart. Like add 10 pounds to the bench; probably more for legs. Once you hit 12 with that new weight up it 10 again..maybe 5 for biceps. Studies show 8-12 reps is best for muscle growth. The juice out there has God knows what in it. I would advise against it & be as fit & buff as your body allows. Girls like thin in shape guys but check with a doctor; check your test. Progressive Resistance training, good food with enough calories to grow & recover before you hit that bodypart again. Hope this helps.

If you are low; he needs to let you do the shots or family/friend or refer you to a hormone specialist. I live in a big city & they are everywhere. The part he mentions nothing about is all the drugs you must take all that your willing to do ruins your life in the future nobody goes into the gym lifts weights drinks a protein shake eats hi protein diet and in ten years looks like anything close to this drug addict NOBODY .Now this man should look better and more improved at 69 or 70 How come he looks like nothing now what happened oh gee i wonder and why are all his buddies dead or in wheelchairs?? WHAT HAPPENED??????
Very well said. Arnold used to blow up then shrink up, it all revolved around the amount of steroids he was taking. . It was like he was a chameleon. If he had such great genetics why doesn't he look better than a average guy who never lifted weights?
