Umm, correction, Jesus did not have a "homo eroctic" encounter with the PAIS he healed. It was the Centurians male slave, which by all acounts could point to the fact that they were in a relationship. NOt with Jesus. The mentioned of the "beloved" is never idenified as John. Most scholars believe so, but its never mentioned in the bible that he is. And using that Divinci painting as a reference point to make your claim is not only weak but downright false narrative. It could very easily also be Mary Mag. I am glad Jesus left his sexual orientation ambigious, but I moreso believe that he was a perfect being, not needing the cardinal fleshly desires plagued by other men. Gay or Str8. I believe he was both, male and female like Adam was in the Garden. Jesus is God in the flesh, and he does not need a consort, for we are his consorts. And when we are in heaven we will neither marry or be given in marriage.

I can agree that Jesus is queer, but from a very young age, I assumed that he is asexual and/or aromantic instead of gay or bi. I mean, he never married. Even though he was born a human, he is the Son of God, and supernatural beings are not bound by human conventions of attraction, sexuality and gender. And it would make more sense to me that he seeks only close platonic relationships with other people during his time on Earth.

This is the school of thought that I've subscribed to most of my life honestly. I feel like if Jesus were to have intimate relations with humankind, guy gal or otherwise, it would feel almost... idk, like too much of a power imbalance. Like if he had a partner so people didn't question why he was unmarried at 30, sure, I get that, but... yeah,, I don't know. Then again, you've got the whole 'Holy Spirit got Mary knocked up' thing sooooo maybe I've misjudged what would be inappropriate here lmao.

    • @LaFemmFatal
      @LaFemmFatal 3 года назад +34

Cool perspective, however in the bible Jesus was sent to live as a human version of God. The point of God coming in flesh ( Jesus or gods son ) was to make himself vulnerable to the sins of flesh, including sex which most people have wrongfully felt the need for. He was supernatural, but felt as a human and was supposed to be an example of how humans should behave even when in flesh/bound by human nature, and be our savior. Although bound he was able to persevere and remain as holy as a God but on earth. ( IDK why I feel the need to note this but Jesus was born male because they most closely represent ideal, or did, it represented his power, But God himself in heaven has no gender and as you mentioned does not abide by human flesh nor is he bound or prone to many things of our nature )
last I want to note I'm not very religious, but I do come from a Christian family and that is that perspective XD
Edit: Keep in mind this is what I have learned and Christians don't like to question the bible therefore it's rare to look at lost text or text that didn't make it into the bible

      🧡💛🤍💚💙💜
Here is the read on why same-sex marriage is NOT a sin. And how the Bible NEVER said it was.
      ❤️🧡💛🤍💚💙💜
Here is the read on why same-sex marriage is not a sin. But it pretty much comes down to gender, which is located in your brain. Eunuchs did not marry in Biblical times because of the religious man-made laws. God wanted religious hypocrites to think Eunuchs referred to castrated men so that religious hypocrites wouldn't take it out of the Bible. Remember, Jesus breaks religious man-made laws to heal people. He healed on the Sabbath, He talked to a Samaritan. He talked with a woman with an issue of blood. Those were all against the law. I have an identical twin sister that is female in gender; I am male in gender. I have already had 2 prophetic words that my same-sex partner and I will have miracle babies!! This revelation came through experience as well. God showed me how I was going to marry a man that was female in gender, but, since I was molested, it will not be a man, but a woman that is female in gender. I asked God when was I made male in gender and He said, "At birth." Here is the read now. Please start sharing this so people know the truth. I almost died because of church lies.
➡️❣The Bible does NOT say same-sex marriage is a sin.❣⬅️
➡️❣Sodom and Gomorrah was about rape. Go reread it. They were trying to rape the angels. Nonconsensual sex is not the same thing as consensual sex unless every married couple rapes one another every time they have sex.
And it doesn't mention monogamy in marriage of any kind.
Plus, everyone knows that rape actually has nothing to do with sex; it has to do with domination and power. That's why they didn't want to have consensual sex.
➡️❣Leviticus, Corinthians, and Timothy were translated wrong. Mr. Graham and a guy by the last name of Taylor changed the words.
Leviticus and Timothy are referring to the practice in Roman times when adult men would take boys as they reached puberty and have sex with them. It's referring to molestation and pedophilia.
The German version of the Bible actually says "men who molest boys." The translation comes from the Hebrew word "arsenokoitai."
      ➡️❣Corinthians
The word "effeminate" from "Malakos" in Corinthians (Hebrew translation) isn't even referring to sex. Malakos is saying that it's a sin for men to act as people thought women acted in those days. They devalued women and treated them as property back then. Women were seen as lazy, impure, and submissive. It's simply saying men should not be lazy, impure, or submissive and is actually a quite prejudiced statement towards women.
If a woman was on top in a sex position, it was seen as a sin back then. Women are no longer considered lower-class. Back then, it was pretty much seen as a sin if you were a woman.
➡️❣The word "homosexual" was NEVER in the Bible. It wasn't even a word until the late 1800s. Mr. Graham and a guy by the last name of Taylor changed the words of the Bible. According to the Bible, they should be in Hell. Now, I don't think they are, but according to the Bible they should be.
➡️❣Male or female is determined by GENDER, located in the brain, not sex characteristics. Gender is designated at birth. God never said if Adam had a penis or vagina. And He always tells us to look on the inside of someone.
      ➡️❣The Passage in Romans.
It's speaking about orgies. Furthermore, it's addressing people who were worshipping pagan idols. But, remember male or female is determined in the brain. A male-oriented person always ends up with a female-oriented person and vice versa; It has nothing to do with outward sex characteristics.
Therefore, if a person who is male in GENDER has sex with someone who is also male in GENDER, it's going to be shameful.
Vile affections are people of the same GENDER having sex. That which is not natural is when two people of the same GENDER have sex.
The passage in Romans is not referring to transgendered people either. All of the males had sex characteristics that matched their male-gendered brains. And all of the females had female sex characteristics and feminine brains. God is even the one who gave them over to same-gender attraction because they were trying to procreate during orgies!
➡️❣ You also have to use discernment in cultural norms. Timothy said women shouldn't talk in church and we know that doesn't apply anymore. That's why it's ok for women to be on top in sex positions now. And that's why the passage in Deurotomy about men needing to dress as men and women needing to dress as women doesn't apply anymore either.
And Roman Catholic men threw out the entire book of Mary Magdalene just because she was a woman.
❣➡️ Then read Mathew 19:12. This is referring to people in the LGBTQ community and it implies they were set apart for kingdom of heaven!!!
The Bible even says the one who can accept this should accept it!
      Mathew 19:12
"For there are eunuchs who were born that way, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others--and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it."
Eunuchs that were "born that way" are people who are transgender. Eunuchs that were made that way were molested, raped, or abused (It doesn't happen to everyone who is abused). Eunuchs that choose to be like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven are bisexual people that end up with someone of the same sex, but opposite in gender. Male or female is determined by gender located in your brain, given at birth, not sex-characteristics.
➡️❣*******People that think they got delivered from same-sex attraction merely met someone of the opposite gender; perhaps, they did get delivered from same-gender attraction. .*******❣⬅️
Stay blessed my same-sex couples and trans-gendered brothers and sisters!!
      Everyone stay blessed!
      And Remember:
➡️❣God is free and so is love!❣⬅️
P.S. Male or female is determined by gender; therefore, in actuality, no one is homosexual, gay, or lesbian --> Because we all end up with partners that are opposite in gender. Hermaphrodites still have one gender or another.
So that is the read on why same-sex marriage is not a sin. God absolutely knew what He was doing when He gave me an identical twin sister that is female in gender. I am male in gender. We were both molested at a young age. It did not effect her the same way it effected me; she did not "turn" like some people do. God showed me who I would have married if I had not been molested; he was man that is female in gender from Africa. God showed me I would have married him but because I was molested, I will marry a woman that is female in gender instead!
Therefore, I fall into the first 2 categories of what an Eunuch is. I am transgender - born that way. And I was made that way by others - molested.
      Tonya Marie Dieker
P.S. Eunuchs still had sex back then, but they had to go in closets so religious hypocrites wouldn't kill them. Hence the term, "COMING OUT OF THE CLOSET!"

Just imagine that one homophobic christian meeting Jesus and he be like: I'm gay
They just be having an existential crisis for the rest of their afterlife xD
Edit: So it has been a year and there is some stuff I wanna say.
    1. Verses out of the falsely translated Bible have no meaning to me.
    2. If you have read the Bible you would know that the authors contradict each other in some points. Which means Bible verses have no meaning to me.
Lastly, it doesn't matter if he was gay or not. The only thing that mattered is what he taught us which is "love thy neighbor" and "may the one who hasn't sinned throw the first stone". Treat people with respect regardless of their nationality, gender, race or sexuality! Jesus saved that women even though she sinned by sleeping with another man. He saved her from being stoned to death by these people for simply saying a phrase. Do not point at others. Do not call them sinners. Do not do that if you are a sinner yourself.
Jesus was kind. Even to the people who betrayed him. We always say that he died for us yet we are the ones who killed him. And he forgave us. Yet what is his forgiveness really worth if we don't better ourselves. If we don't change our ways. I don't think Jesus would have supported people killing in his name. Burning people alive, drowning them, torturing them for being "a witch". Do you even know what your beloved church has done? I don't think he would agree with priests molesting innocent children and nuns! You people are sick for thinking you are the ones to speak! To tell people they are going to hell whilst you are supportive of an organization that has betrayed the one and only god they admire so deeply! There is a reason he has left us to rot on this gift he gave us called our dear planet earth that we so love to destroy! Face the truth people! We as humanity are more of a sinner than all gay people combined! And honestly... don't you have anything better to do than spread hatred among this god forsaken world?

I feel like it’s up to each individual to believe if he was gay, straight, or otherwise. Simply saying “Jesus Was Gay” in the title implies it is 100% factual information, which it is not. It’s a theory, yes, but by no means is a theory proof. I’m in the lgbtq+ community myself but I feel that it is unprofessional to state that this is true. For example, in the beginning of your video, you state that “Historians agree that if Jesus was a real man, he was born sometime in June, which is coincidentally pride month.” That has absolutely nothing to do with the point of the video. It’s not a fact, nor is it proof. Later on, you also attempt to answer why people who believe in Jesus might be homophobic by saying “when it’s pretty well-known that Jesus himself, was in fact, queer.” This is pretty clearly saying that Jesus being queer is a fact. It honestly sounds like you’re using too much of Aristotle’s appeal “Logos” to appear more formal and astute. I’d recommend renaming this video to make it seem less factual and more theoretical.

I'm skeptical that he was gay, and I have doubts about the opinions of historians. Because asexuality and aromanticism are not known, most people don't know that these are options. So if they see someone not being in relationships or having sex with someone of the opposite sex, they will just assume they are gay/bi as they don't know it's possible to not have sexual/ romantic attraction. This can lead to biases, where someone convinced of jesus's homosexuality would look for evidence to match this, when it could be possible that there is no evidence for any sex or relationships as he may have been aro/ace.

I know I'm a little late on this one as it was posted several months ago but I'm still going to challenge this of course because this is my faith and this is what I believe in and instead of getting offended and mad I am prepared to present my argument with facts and quotes. I mean no harm to homosexuals, by sister is bisexual and I love hearing about all her crushes and I love her very much.
I'm just going to add my thoughts where i see them:
1:13 - Mark 15:21-25 state that Jesus was in fact crucified. And if you're talking about him being white there are also many depictions of Christ as black, Arabic and White (Not so many Asian etc). The color of his skin does not matter nor is it relevant to your point.
1:47 - The reason that "homophobic" arguments are related back to (not just catholic) christian values is because Christians (among other religions such as Islam) believe that marriage and other forms of intimacy are between a man and a woman.
2:00 - Because the bible (Mathew 19:4-5 as well as various other versus/books) Says that a man and his wife shall join together to make one flesh
2:05 - Oh boy I'm excited for this
2:17 - What texts or evidence do you have to support this?
2:30 - The reason for this is (as stated above) That in both major religions (Christianity and Islam) That marriage and intimacy are between a man and a woman, for Christians, it is because Christ himself said this, therefore going against his words are sinful.
3:37 - While your point on the roman empire is correct, the Romans didn't support homosexuality to the fullest, however, they supported their soldiers having intimate relations with each other because they believed that it made them closer with those in their battalion, therefore made them fight a lot harder. However, there was not ever any evidence in the bible of Jesus being sexual or intimate with anyone.
4:40 - A little strange of you to compare the son of god to a prostitute however I will give you biblical evidence that disproves this: (Deuteronomy 23:17) None of the daughters of Israel shall be a cult prostitute, and none of the sons of Israel shall be a cult prostitute. Jesus Christ was against prostitution, harlots etc.
4:47 - Which scriptures support this claim?
5:57 - The only real evidence that Saint Paul is gay is that he was never married and that he had a disapproval of homosexual exploitation but he was against sexual exploitation in general
6:28 - I searched and searched and the only evidence I could find of this being true is the fact that Jesus describes Pias as being "dear to him" is this what you meant?
7:05 - The phrase "Lord, I am not worthy of receiving you" is only homoerotic if you put it into that context, in the context of the bible where is says the Holy Ghost inhabits and is inside us all if we let him is not erotic either unless you attach that meaning to it. It is wise to not attach sexual meaning to phrases that aren't sexual. Other ways this can be harmful is in applying this to phrases like "cute kids" or similar.
7:22 - Jesus and John have a close relationship but again, don't attach sexual meanings to things that aren't sexual. Jesus loves John that's why he is his "beloved disciple" however, Jesus loves all his children (everyone). And Jesus loves everyone, including men but he is not IN love with everyone, we are all children of god so he is more similar to a father figure.
8:08 - This makes no sense. Jesus didn't have sexual relationships at all
8:35 - You don't even have to give me any other historical context or evidence of this. But I want to know what it says. Also Catholicism didn't exist at this time so I have no clue where you got that from.
9:36 - That just tells real Christians and anyone who has intently read the bible that the historians have NEVER read the bible for it's intended purpose.
In conclusion, again, this is not meant to be hurtful or homophobic but Jesus had NO SEXUAL RELATIONS THROUGHOUT HIS ENTIRE LIFE. Thank you.

I remember when I was a Christian, thinking A.D. meant "After Death", though that makes little sense if the supposed works of Jesus are happening in that A.D. period.
It actually means Anno Domini, the Latin for "Year of our Lord".
A further curious note, that wasn't quite spelled out, is that this is based on the assumption that Jesus was real and as described by Christian tradition.
The bit about Paul and Jesus hooking up is interesting. If I'm remembering my biblical narrative correctly, Paul converted to Christianity after the death of Jesus, and wouldn't have had such an opportunity.

      Jesus was transgender, yes!!
Sowing and giving is to be done to the poor, the homeless, the widows, etc. Monetary tithing is a complete lie. Do not donate to charities or shelters as donations do NOT reach the people they are meant for. Do your giving face to face.
Lev. was translated wrong billy graham. Refering to pedophilia. "Men shall not molest young boys."
Delete or reject the messages sent from the messenger of Malachi 3:1 and you reject Jesus Christ Herself and choose to die with the wicked.
Malachi 2 proves Malachi 3:8 is prophetic instruction for the thieving church leaders to bring back the money they were never supposed to take for ministering and God will end Covid. Every major church around the world knew this since August of 2020 but they LOVE MONEY so much they chose to kill everyone with Covid instead of returning it!
James 5:2 Rich people are NOT Christians and the wealth they selfishly kept to themselves will only be used as evidence to burn them.
The 2 witnesses are righteousness and judgement, not actual people. There is no ONE antichrist; it was made up by people that worship money.
Stay out of the fake churches or you will die with them and their lies. In order to be a church, the place must house people inside it. Otherwise it's another private money-making business serving satan and part of Babylon.
There is no such thing as rapture. Jesus comes back to rule. God's people are caught up spiritually...
Romans is not referring to Eunuchs where one partner is transgender.
🏳️‍🌈 Eunuchs that are born that way are transgender. It's even in the Bible. Yes, the bible was written by bigoted men and is way outdated and was changed and should be thrown out. But even Jesus spoke about transgender people. Eunuchs made that way by others were abused (it doesn't happen to everyone that is abused). Those that choose to live like Eunuchs FOR THE SAKE OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN are bisexual people that choose partners of the same sex characteristics but opposite in regards to gender. Notice, God PREFERS for people to be in LGBT relationships.
Eunuchs are same sex couples. One partner is transgender. Transgender is when someone is born with a gender opposite the sex characteristics normally associated with that gender. God made us male or female, determined by gender, located in the brain.
Your gender is located in your brain and determined at birth. I have an identical twin sister that is female in gender. I am male in gender.
I am Elijah of Malachi 4:5-6 and that means any discrepancies in the bible are ultimately decided by me. Plus, it states in Deuteronomy that nobody was castrated back then. And that doesn't make sense anyhow. No one is born castrated and no one is born making the decision to be celibate. But, that is what God wanted the lying preachers to think so they wouldn't take it out of the bible. Intersex people still have one gender or another because gender is located in your brain.
And Acts 3:22-23 says it will come to pass that anyone that fails to listen to me will be utterly destroyed from among the people. So anyone that says different than this won't be here much longer. It's everyone's choice.
Anyone teaching the LIE of monetary tithing or getting paid in any way to minister will also die with the wicked.
      Peter 2:9 says we are ALL ministers . . . .
Jesus was transgender and will return as a woman.....
Remember, Malachi 3:8-12 is talking to the thieving church leaders. It's the answer to end Covid and every major church around the world has known this since August of 2020 but they LOVE MONEY so much, they INTENTIONALLY CHOSE to kill everyone instead of returning it. My preaching will lead to a universal monthly income for everyone. If church leaders dont repent, they won't be here to see it. Their choice..............

You say "The majority of historians" support your stance, yet in your sources only one of them makes this argument - a vice article (not an academic article) citing Bob Shore-Goss (not a historian). Your biblical arguments are Jesus calling John "beloved" and traveling around with twelve men (both of which imply platonic or familial love are impossible), a Centurian telling Jesus "I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof" (which implies he can't be speaking literally), and an apocryphal story (the exact story of which you don't give). Near the end, when you said "everyone reads into the Bible for the interpretation they want", that's a cop-out that doesn't explain why your extraordinary claims about a historical figure should be trusted.

Citing your sources in the video itself, quoting them, and adding screenshots of original text as well as the specific historic significance and understanding of certain words would help substantiate it. Further, your statement that Jesus was likely a prostitute is very poorly substantiated; even taking what you said leading up to it as fact, your arguments simply don't have that as a reasonable conclusion.

When you spoke about how there is an image of 'Jesus' and how there are statues of Him normally in-front of churches, I agree. No church or religion should have any image of God or His Son as we are not sure what He looks like and that would be worshipping a false idol as they don't consider the chance that Jesus did not look like what they presumed Him to look like. I disagree with the Catholic faith as so many things are wrong with the way they operate. A communion and confession will not steer you clear from sin and leave you a seat in heaven. Faith should not be based on religion but on their belief on Jesus and his teachings. There are many Catholic teachings that oppose the teachings from Jesus, for example, the Bible forbids us to address religious leaders as "father." Matthew 23:9 states, "Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven."
Now for the part where you fell apart. Jesus was without sin; he needed to be a spotless lamb so for Him to be a 'prostitute' or to 'abide with Roman society' is out of question as that would mean he committed fornication or adultery and lust, which He teaches against and, additionally, He is without sin. This is written about in 1 Peter 2:22 which states, “He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.” (NIV) or for those who don't understand, "He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone." (NLT) So everything about 'Him having an intimate relationship with Paul' and 'Him having an erotic relationship with a young boy' is outlined. He cannot have a relationship with a young boy that is erotic as it would be lust, which is a sin, and, again, Jesus was without sin. Just because His apostles or followers stayed with Him and He travelled with them everywhere, does not mean that they were intimate with Him. They were just following Him and learning the teachings of His. Just because Mary followed Him from start to finish does not mean she was intimate with Him...
I've also noticed that you're only targeting the Catholic Church. Jesus is not 'based' on the Catholic Church, or at least he is not supposed to be defined by it. I'll come back to add more to this. However, you are correct that the bible does not contradict homosexuality as it says nothing on that subject. *EDIT: it actually does in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10*. However it continuously hints that man and woman are meant to be in order to reproduce and marry. Jesus does teach us to love our neighbours and enemies as He loves us but the main reason people are against this community is because of their way of executing their ideas. They try to change and replace the things others find significant so that they may make it to match the lgbtq's beliefs and to 'prove a point'. Like, for example saying that Jesus is gay with evidence that is easily defeated. You say He is gay through the actions you describe he enacted or felt which, as He says himself, is a sin and since that is your only evidence, from what I see in this video, that would mean that there is no evidence, therefore, He was not gay. You guys also, from the majority I've seen, are over sexual, which is a sin and even promote fornication. so....
Also, this is me generally asking, what evidence is there that Paul was homosexual, let alone had a relationship with Jesus, the Messiah. God incarnate. The Son of God. Why would that even happen in the first place? That would be fornication or adultery so that's out of question. Im so confused because all of these points you added at the middle to end are simply going to be ruled out as they are either relating to fornication, adultery or lust which would not have been possible as Jesus was without sin.
The only arguably correct things in this video is those against the Catholic Church. What makes these points also wrong, however, is that some of these points against the Catholic Church are tried to be used against Jesus which obviously doesn't work as the evidence used is not strong and is easily contradicted. But, of course, I hope you have a blessed day, that you do better research next time if you're going to make such big theory, and that God blesses you so you may be guided back to Him through the Spirit. Thank you for increasing my knowledge of the Bible, it made me receive a stronger faith (in some way) and I feel much happier and relieved than before😊

As much as I like to watch your videos Matt, there is no proof that he was anything. Your theology is very lacking.
Just because being gay is not a sin, in no way proves that he was gay, Anno Domini was coined in 525 by Dionysius Exiguus. There is no "0" year the numbering would have changed from b.c. to a.d. back to back.
There is no proof of that Matt, First off, Paul was called Saul originally, he was a Pharisee, and he originally went around killing Christians, He was from Tarsus. How would a man who was busy killing off early Christians even be involved with the "founder" of that religion, that makes no sense.
Vice is biased as a channel and a website, it is inappropriate to cite them as a source.
First off you are saying the word Pais wrong, it's pronounced pice, second the meaning is :
παῖς paîs, paheece; perhaps from G3817; a boy (as often beaten with impunity), or (by analogy), a girl, and (genitive case) a child; specially, a slave or servant (especially a minister to a king; and by eminence to God):-child, maid(-en), (man) servant, son, young man.
Check all references, not just the ones that fit what you are saying, if you do, you are no better than the narrow minded people that you speak out against.
Pederasty derives from the combination of παίδ- ([pédh] the Greek stem for boy[1] or child)[2] with ἐραστής ([érastís] Greek for lover; cf. eros). Late Latin pæderasta was borrowed in the 16th century directly from Plato's classical Greek in The Symposium. (Latin transliterates αί as æ.) The word first appeared in the English language during the Renaissance, as pæderastie
Pais and pederasty are not synonymous with each other.
As for chuches, you should know IF you have done your research properly, that there are churches around where Gay Christians like myself can go. Secondly secular historians are being shown repeatedly that their "history" which is controlled mostly by ultra conservatives as being wrong.
I will say it again, If you are not using all sources, all research on words and their meaning, proper context in scriptures, then you are no better than those people who say things in that manner, You have to be a better person.

What you are doing is not helping. Please don't spread this misinformation. Please get a better understanding of religions before you spread information like this. I highly doubt you talked to a Christian when you made this script so please do next time. It's not a "but still... he might have been gay with His disciples" when, if He was gay, it would make Him a pedophile as His disciples were very young. Being gay was condemned in Judaism as well as the early church because it played a significant role in hierarchies like you mentioned in this video. It also made women even more oppressed. As a result I doubt Jesus would've been in a gay relationship if he was in a romantic relationship at all. I'm pretty sure Jesus was not in a romantic relationship because High Priests are required to get married. Jesus pledges to marry the church as a whole and has gone to prepare a place for us (mirroring the traditions of Judaism). While I am transgender and support your work and views on many topics, I am confused as to how you can say that "Jesus is Gay" - base that position solely on your opinion, bereft of any factual support and not expect that someone is going to question it? People have said that he was never married. That is true, but hardly a point to base a belief on him supposedly being gay based off of that position alone. When we all come out as members of the LGBTQ community, we all have actual evidence that we can base our positions on. For example, I am a transgender female, I wear female clothing, can point to specific points in my life that pointed my gender to the female side of the spectrum - and so on. I can tell people how I never felt right using the men's room, always befriended the women wherever I worked and the list goes on and on - I am on HRT and plan to get gender-affirming surgery soon. But to say based off of someone never having been married that he must be gay, is a disingenuous effort to conform a religious figure to your own narrative - not to mention the fact that no where in the Bible do you see a single statement to support such a claim. Like a benevolent savior that he is, he loves us all and has compassion on us all, but that is not to infer or imply hes gay. I have watched this video several times and see only opinions, not facts.

As much as I’d love for this video to be true, I simply have to say that we can’t tell anymore. Please show me evidence (anything historical, a letter, something of this kind, maybe even someone just talking about Jesus being in a relationship with someone) and I’ll believe it, but this is based on assumptions and translations that might just have a different meaning. This is also why this video makes me kind of uncomfortable, since you’re trying to assume sexuality/gender on someone we know very little of. And I think we can all agree that assuming something about another person is just wrong. I’m not trying to invalidate anyone here, but as a theological student I need to keep it critical, because I know that we assume many things about Jesus, but we can’t simply provide proof for those assumptions, this is where we can only believe and hope to find proof that our assumptions are correct, as unlikely as that is. I’ve also checked out the sources, which it’s good of you that you show these, but sadly at least the one with the priest talking about Jesus being gay isn’t credible. Where does the priest take his informations? Has it been looked into by historians? Have there been any written works that come to the same conclusion? Have they been credible? If you can disprove me and show me any proof then I’m willing to look into it myself, but as long as it is just this one source I’m really sceptical. Especially since we gotta keep remembering there’s an actual person behind the name Jesus and the images we all have in our head.

Wow, I have so much to say about this topic and probably won't get to it all. I am radically gay myself and would love the idea that Jesus was gay. But, Matt, you stretched too far this time. You extrapolated too much and made some things say what they did not mean. Yes, Jesus was a Rabbi and a member of the Jewish race. His skin color was olive with dark eyes and probably not more than 5'6" tall, which was normal for that time. Also being a part of an ancient religious culture, he would not have been openly gay, even in Roman times. In the Jewish faith, if a male is gay and does not have children, they can not carry on the family name and are considered "dead" to the family. Being gay in early Jewish times was a harsh and sinful thing to be. As to marriage and children. If you'll read the books, HOLY BLOOD, HOLY GRAIL by Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh and Henry Lincoln, and BLOODLINE OF THE HOLY GRAIL by Laurence Gardner and THE TOMB OF GOD: THE BODY OF JESUS AND THE SOLUTION TO A 2,000 OLD MYSTERY it is obvious Jesus was married, had children and his blood line exists today. Further, yes a lot of writings were left out of the book, The Holy Bible, by the Council of Nicaea. That's when the book became a book instead of loose writings. You use the word "obvious" a lot in your statements. No, it is not obvious Jesus was gay. Once he reached the age of reason, 13, we lose track of him until he is 28 or 29. Where was he? In THE UNKNOWN LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST by Nicolas Notovitch published in 1887 it is proven that Jesus traveled all over the east, learned and taught as he went. So that when he returned home, his understanding of the cosmos and God was nebulous. And by the way, Jesus could not have been nailed through the palms of his hands to the cross. Using cadavers, it has been proven the bones are too fragile and hands will tear and the body will fall. More than likely the nailing was through the wrists or the wrists tied to the cross. The reason for the small platform of the victim to stand on was so they could lift themselves up for a few seconds to breathe. Death on the cross was from asphyxiation. With arms pulled upward and the weight of the body pulling on the arms, it was difficult to breathe. It was a slow death. I've rambled on. Matt, I love your channel and watch all your videos. And I am deeply appreciative of all the hard work you do to educate the gay community through videos. But to tell us definitively that Jesus was gay, is wrong in so many ways. And sure as hell, one of us gays is going to run around spouting that to heterosexuals and make gays look even more stupid. In a court of law, your assertions would be laughed at and dismissed.

You know what's also great is that regardless of if Jesus himself was or was not gay, the image of him they pray to certainly is. As the video stated Jesus looks nothing like how we know him now. He would have been a lot darker in skin tone than he is depicted today. And for that matter, he would have also had short hair, short cut beard if any at all, and might have even had some piercings. So where do we get the currently version we see today? Well the way we see Jesus today was originally based on the paintings of Leonardo Da Vici, who based his version of Jesus on his lover. Who, obviously, was a man.
So every time you look at a picture of Jesus, while it represents Jesus, the man actually depicted in the picture is a gay man.

  • @jhmejia

Sorry Matt, I think what you say here is a little far-fetched... You make a lot of assumptions, and I think if you look at Jesus as a mere man then you might be true, but Paul clearly chose to stay single since he did not like marriage and only begrudgingly condoned it. So you might be right if you are trying to say that Paul may have had homosexual desires, but there's no proof. I don't think it makes sense that God would have a partner, just because.. he's God, and he exists in perfect Trinity by himself just fine.
But yeah for sure if you think that Jesus Christ was just another guy, a good teacher maybe, then you can apply that onto him easily.
