      instead of getting catty why not have the foresight to wear rubber gloves ? Even permanent markers can bleed with skin oils

    • @TheActionBastard
      @TheActionBastard 3 года назад +756

      What about any other object that touches? If it comes off on his hands then it would come off on other things as well. Check your extreme sensitivity at the door of RUclips... it will not serve you well here. And rubber gloves? Seriously? To open a package? Your commentary only makes sense in a world ravaged by a pandemic, not in any normal world where people formed their habits (like opening packages with your bare hands). If that's an acceptable form of packaging marking to you I feel great pity for anyone you mail things to.

    • @CFox.7

      @@TheActionBastard comments getting deleted I see. Its pretty obvious the marker was permanent as any other would have smudged in the previous handling and would negate the function as security scribble. The intelligent thing to do is NOT make assumptions as to the quality of the ink and to allow for the fact skin oils will make any type of marker bleed to some degree.

      @tsnap4 2 года назад +16

      I mean, your right. Any lock exists as a deterrent, and there are far more secure ways to ensure something never opens again, if that's what you want. A lock tells any would-be thief: "Hey, this isn't worth it if you don't have the key."
      Considering most thieves want to get something quickly and quietly (some important exceptions apply), you can simply add enough time sinks to prevent most theft. Mummifying something in packaging means you (the owner) don't have an easy bypass, but you also know everyone will have to spend the time to cut through your valuable's deterrent. It becomes a question of how valuable is the item or location versus how much time and resources are you willing to spend on making sure others can't get it?
