This video was so needed glad I could watch! currently experiencing something similar with chemistry too lol since I've just sat my year 12 mock exams vlogging the whole experience , Thankyou so much for this video!
Np glad you enjoyed it!! Good luck with your application process ❤️🥰🥰
Im in year 9 and i made so much mistakes i done ineffective revision and now Im going to start at low set for math and science which is upsetting and i wanna move up in year 11 so i can study science a-level hopefully i will do good in year since i know how to revise good now
My tips are now for revision is
Cognito
Flashcards
Blurting
Exam style Questions
I wish i knew these before i started year 9 oh well even if i start at a low set the start of year 10 i can still move since the year 10 exam determines new sets for year 11
great how u revise in yr 9, keep achieving for that success - from a year 10 with mocks soon
@@sweetestangel thx I actually moved up to higher tier for science 🧪

Hi, Who did you mention for ur work experience? I am really trying to find some dentistry related work experience!!!!!!!
I can sooo relate with maths I dropped it in yr 12 now I am yr 13 one yr of maths was just mental pain
Plzzz tell me after a level in heakth and social care can i study for dentist beause i am new in lodon so i dont no to much about subject so now i choose wrong sunbject i am 16 year old
I really want to do dentistry but I only took chemistry and not biology because I didn’t know I wanted to do it until a couple months into sixth form
You don’t need it as long as ur doing a second science subject like maths physics in some unis psychology or computer science
thank you so much for this video! i aspire to be a dentist but i'm in yr 11 and i need to pick my a-level subjects : i'm definitely choosing biology and chemistry but i'm torn between maths and psychology for the third subject. since maths is not required , do you recommend i do psychology instead so i can focus more on bio and chem, because i know maths a level requires a lot of work ? would not doing maths affect my application in any way or make my application less competitive than a student who did maths ? it's confusing because some people say to not do maths and pick a subject you think you can more easily get an a/a* but others say to pick maths, as it opens up more options. what would you recommend?
Not doing maths doesn't affect your entry at all! Do whatever you think you will do the best so you can reach the grade requirements. Maths doesn't really open many options for Dentistry unless you're also thinking of also applying to another course that would require it e.g. computer science. Then again, psychology is still a lot of content. Do whatever you'll be the most relaxed and happy in, and do it well 🥰
@@SmileWithSola thank you so much for replying! i really appreciate your advice :-)
i also had this dilemma! ive chosen maths and then reflected on it and emailed my sixth form to change to psychology but they then told me to give it more time?? i am definitely not choosing maths as I feel I wont get an A in it. since we're both aspiring to be dentists, want to be friends?
@@deathconenjoyer omg this is exactly what I did, changed to psychology and I’m so much less stressed!
@@tegannn9745 am I the only one struggling with psychology 😭
Can I take chem in a level even wen I didn't do it well in o level
What MOOCs website did you use?
How much garde we have to get in chemistry thanks you so much this video
Hey hope you are going well🥰,just wanted to know if not taking physics is in alevel is the right decision because I actually want to drop phy as I have 4 subjects and it's too much for me... and do universities require entry exam or they just see the alevel and gcse grades?
I recommend doing 3 A levels because most unis, including Oxford & Cambridge only want 3 A levels. If you do less that means you're more likely to get the required grades they want which is all that really matters. Universities look at a combination of stuff, not only the UCAT/BMAT but also your GCSE & A Level & personal statement. So its good to be a well rounded candidate, hope this helps!
Do you HAVE to do A level chemistry to do denistry? because i hate chemistry and i suck at it whereas i love biology
Chemistry is necessary at almost every university in UK unfortunately
I have 95% biology and chemistry 90% Can I start dental?
so did u go to dental school right after year 12?? didnt u have to do 4 yrs of uni first?
No, I went straight into dental school after year 13!
Hey Sola, how many universities can u apply to in the uk??
5
I got 2580 for the ucat, is there a chance of me getting an offer :(
apply to unis that don’t weigh ucat scores hugely

On 9:22 what did u say the manchester university interviewer asked?
I don't remember the exact question but something about a lady asking to remove her amalgam fillings - what you would do and why
@@SmileWithSola Did every dental school ask you about dentistry related questions? Like how to fix a broken tooth ect.
@@ays5236 No they don't expect you to know about procedures
@@SmileWithSola What do they expect you to know already then?
@@ays5236 I really recommend reading up on GDC 9 principles, knowing your personal statement inside out and having a general understanding around oral health like what causes a cavity. Also be sure to watch my interview tips video: ruclips.net/video/E6t8k2ChO2g/видео.html
