I am a high school graduate of 2021. As of right now, I am, if not just about, failing 2 out of 3 of my courses. The only course I have actually really put effort into is my biology course. I feel like a failure and I haven't told my parents because I know they will be disappointed in me. I don't know what to do. I needed these classes to get into my nursing courses for next year and now next summer I'm going to have to take math and English 101 over again and pay for the courses with my own money ($1000+). I just don't know what to think of myself right now...

This makes me feel better, I have a low grade in math (literally failing) and I'm in the middle of my semester, my other grades for biology are average (85/90%) thank you so much for this video

My final grades are posted and I was 3 points away from a D in the course. I have never done so poorly in my life. How do you recover your gpa from something like this, especially from an essential class like gen chem?

Gen chem is a biachh, my suggestion is if you fail the first two exams. Drop the class before it affects you and retake it later on

Also failed gen chem, with a D+ (need a C to go to the next chem class). I was 1% away from a C :/

Discovered your channel and I love it!! Quick question so I’m doing undergrad following a med track. But I think I’m just gonna go with becoming a teacher. My question is while doing the teacher track can I do pre med track at the same time ? And if it’s too hard to do pre med then I can just focus on being a teacher.? My major is biology.

Hey thanks so much!! :) && you definitely can! With a biology major you will be taking all the pre-med courses anyways!

I didn't really do well in some classes but retook it and did much better. Will this make a difference in getting into med school?

I really needed this, I'm doing pre-med right now. I failed a class with a high "D" a few weeks before the quarantine. What happened is that I got super sick and I missed so much class my unfinished assignments kept building up on me. When the class moved off campus to online I couldn't get all my work in ontime. I'm retaking the class right now, passing the class hopefully with an "A" after my final project. I'm transferring from a community college to university to finish my pre-med will this affect my gpa in university since it's a different school?

Definitely do not let the D discourage you! Many students have rough patches/semesters. Just keep focusing forward! I am glad you are doing well while retaking the course. When it comes to transferring, your University GPA will not take into consideration the credits from Community College however they will all be listed on your Application (AMCAS) GPA and so they will be taken into consideration there!

Jose Mojica no you just have to take the classes required to apply to med school the major doesn’t really matter you may just have to take more classes because that major doesn’t requiere as many science classes which you need to apply to med school, does that make sense?
