You are a life and time saver!!! thank you so much for this tip. I was working on 400 columns and needed to add three additional column between those columns LOL. I copied and pasted the numbers for each column three times and did the sort and that did.

If only Columns appear in your Sort menu, select Options, then Left to Right. You then should be able to sort by row.
