i never even made it to the 128mm gun. sold the tank halfway through and switched to the jagdpanther. what can i say? life seems so much more simple and fun now with my jagd e100.

I have max view range on my maus with no coated optics
for me, achieving max viewrange is a luxury I rare can have even when I play my m48. Im free2play so no food = no extra view range. my m48 doesn't have sit aware so I have to keep vents on it to get a mere 455 m... and don't get me started on my is 3...

There are no Russian tanks in WoT, only Soviet ones. War Gaming is based in Belarus, not Russia, IIRC.

I agree...I was grinding down the German medium line back when they first introduced the E-50M but I gave up on the Panther II. Definitely one of the worst tier 8 mediums I've ever used.

Played the Grille 15 up to 2 marks but through that I found that the Grille 15’s biggest issue is the “great” accuracy

This "accuracy" has nothing to do with the grille itself. Issue is with the shitty game mechanics which decides where ur shell would fly to. Same as when is-4 hits u without aiming or even stopping the tank on a 500m distance

This isnt logical since people dont coomplain from US bias in American games (when it comes to equipment or vehicles) nor do they bat an eye when Eastern European or Russian Games classify NATO or US weapons as the best in the game.

Its the worst shit tank on tier x. U can pen sides, roof, lower front and gun mantle... combined with a troll gun and long reload (same gun on jagdtiger is doing well)... its only worse the price of the scrap metal its made from
The blaring weak point when you sidescrape in the PZ. VII makes it unworthy to play really...I enjoy my VK 45.02b
this is just a thing that totally destroys the purpose of a tank, and guess what, they provide a tank with higher alpha and remove the stupid weak point:)
im commenting before even before watching the video, i pretty much agree there are some sort of russia bias in this game, or overall soviet vehicles are superior to german counter parts in most ways no doubt, and i'll back that statement up with a few comparisons and points, lets look:
1. *E50M vs obj 430U* both are aggressive tanks that have close combat playstle, E50M, shit turret armour with weak cupola, 430U tiny cupola and 330effective with space side protection (before nerf)
2. *Panzer VII vs obj 705A* both similar in sidescraping and rear turreted playstyle with strong lower plate armour and a quite a punchy gun, 705A invulnerable to everything apart from HE, no turret weakspot, very tough slopped upper side armour. panzer 7 sidescrapes, reveals 3 weakspots, turret buldge 220 effective armour, 200mm turrett mantlet armour and cupola.
3. *obj2684 vs jagpze100* , both are rear turreted assault TDs, prefer close to mid range fights, obj 2684, 250mm range finder armour, (300mm previously) highly mobile, tiny strip of lower plate weakness, but if in your face its auto ricochet, 320mm effective superstructure, good gunhandling, jagpze100, giant lower plate weakness, weak superstructure pennable with most gold ammo, and has mg turret with 175mm armour. terrible mobility with narrow gun arc, rather poor gun handling, and yes the firepower differs but the russian counter part has more advantages than disadvantages.
i could go on and on, and it'll take forever, anyway tldr: german vehicles slow and fat, flat and weak unslopped turret armour, (maus,e100,e50) with giant cupolas with huge broadside. most russian tier X meds and heavies 330++ effective rounded turret, has mobilty blackhole side armour that magically absorbs your shells.
obj 705a has a really weak but tiny weakspot on the side and the side armor is rather weak for a sidescraping focused heavy and the upperplate is easily penetrated with gold. Also the gun is really inaccurate and can miss shots from 20 metres.

In all cases you presented all the Germans have better guns though. Yes it might not fully balance it out but not adding them at all in the comparison is also a bias on your part
@@zeroyuki92 well the precision and the penetration of German guns is good but the firepower is "balanced" do to low Dpm so the Germans don't have better firepower over other nations but even the penetration advantage is just not enough to have more possibilities on a strong armored target and the precision would is also negotiable because many weak points (like hatches and stuff) a patched out and the distance in game is to small to make a difference

I started WOT on the German line...... because of history........ then i found out Russians made this game..... oh well..
WG is not a russian company, it is belarusian. Also, I don't see any major disadvantage of german tanks in comparison with soviets or any others. I played a lot on e50m and currently making LBZ (not sure how to translate it from russian, LBZ = tasks for premium tanks) on Leopard and I don't feel any problems in duels against soviet tanks, except for close quarters with 430u. Actually almost any non-russian tanks are more convenient for me because of better declination angle.

@@MasterBogus Yep, E50m is definitely my favorite. Well, actuality my answer will depend of my type of tank, map, e.t.c. I will gladly face obj on distance >350 meters, since it will be hard for him to shoot at my weak spots. :)
By the way, I just watched video about WOT update 1.10.1 (it was announced today for RU servers) and E50m is going to have an upgrade! Face turret armor will be increased from 197 mm up to 267 mm.

How 2 fix Grille 15:
1) Significantly improve gun handling hidden stats
2) Improve camo slightly
3) +/-90 degree turret traverse or fully traversible turret
Boom. Grille is no longer ass and can actually shoot the akuret.
or: just give it the 17 cm gun and make it a REAL glass canon
Or remove the rng accuracy on this tank gun because most of the time I full aim the shot always hit the dirt

IMO what needed to be buffed on the e50m was the DPM... think about it... as you go from the e50 to the e50m.. your reload does not get any better with virtually the same gun... It needs to have a small gun reload buff IMO. Also the grille 15 may be stat wise really accurate. I still find the gun really derping and missing shots it shouldnt

But the "knocking out the engine from the front" is cancer.
Gave up on my Lowe after the engine died 3! times in a row. Gold ammo spam is so bad for the germans especially.
At least they fixed that u would burn if they hit the transmission same years ago that was reall cancer (burning every 3to 5 battles now I burn maby 3 times a year)
Yeah, I took a break from playing my Tiger II because I got fed up with all the engine trouble I got from being hit in the front.
@@b-17productions21 but since last patch the Tiger II is a joy to play the buffs on the turret top and front a really nice and the rised alpha damage is also nice (without losing Rat of fire) the upper front plate was also buffed but I haven't tested it was to busy side scraping and bouncing T30 and Scorpion G Rounds XD

I think everyone can relate to either going for the IS or Tiger when they first got the game.
I went directly to Light Chinese Tanks and French Tanks; I don't own any American, and only one tech tree Soviet Tank xD

When I started, I went for the FV215b tree...disappointed I never got it, but, I've since branched out.
Went straight for the Japanese medium line a few years back, only now have I gotten the Tiger 1 and have made hardly any progress on the Russian heavy line

Tier 8 VK 75.01(K) needs 100hp more and faster reload.

And Panther II finally needs 120mm Front Plate.
Panther 8,8cm should have 100mm Front Plate and 55 km/h top speed.
Pz.Kpfw. VII needs Buffs too. The Tank is designed for Sidescrapping, but cant do it.
Its a Slow Tank, with Bad Gun Depression, and no Benefits for the Team.
That last speech just reminded me of placing #1 for overall WoT rating in the E100 with the 128mm about a year ago, last September, before the E100 buff. Skill is a wonderful tool, that’s why I find playing the 430U so dull.
I'll usually reverse when I wanted to get into sniping position especially from places where I could benefit an uneven soil terrain to hide the Grille body and only exposing its gun
And now luck at the Obj. 140 buff, it is balanced but it’s russian, so we have to buff it.
Leopard PTA is a Good Tank but nothing overpowered but it’s German, so we HAVE TO NERF IT!

My favorite thing about equipment 2.0 was QB saying rotation mechanism was pointless when it came out (in his video about all the equipment) to the evolution over time of him recommending it for a ton of different vehicles. Just goes to show first impressions aren't always correct

The Grille has needed a buff since it was heavily nerfed a few years ago. It was quite strong but WG nerfed the stats of the td to the ground. Now that E50M is getting a good buff it could be a good chance for WG to tune this td a bit.

Wow I remember when you said that. Started playing the game in 2011, started watching you in 2014, got good at the game, learnt english as well, now I just dont have time to play anymore. Its not as fun either. But still, this game changed me in a way. Played it for almost half my lifetime.
Played E50 and E50M on a test server. Both always been my favorite tanks. Now they are much more comfortable. Especially now, E50 with it's 88mm gun and 280 alpha is quite devastating. I remember we played in a platoon of 3 E50 with 88mm which looked like machine gun. Now it's even more crazy
I have the Bounty Rotation Mechanism on my SU-122-44. It really changes the way you can snipe with it, because the gun arc isn't very big and thus you have to turn your hull regularly.
Also it becomes utterly uncircleable, with 54°/s of traverse.
Being able to quickly turn corners and get the finishing shot on a flanked heavy before they can even turn their turret is a nice bonus, too.

I play my beloved JgPz E100 exclusively like that.
I think the JgPz E100 is a transclassual tank. A heavy tank born into the wrong class. The armor is actually decent when used correctly and with down to 20 seconds reload it is almost comparable to E-100, PzKpfw VII and 60TP.
And as soon as enemy heavies realize that there is a 17cm gun fighting on the other side of their chosen route, they will often get very hesitant to make advances.
The biggest problem with the Grille 15 is that its extremely situational. The lack of a 360 degree turret is a major departure from the playstyle learned from the Borsig and WT pz4. No frontal armor, combined with pathetic penetration for a tier 10 TD, means this is a flanking sniper only, and with most maps being corridor in design, it rarely has a chance to shine. There is a reason why it among the lowest winratio TD at tier 9 and 10. Without any doubt, the Grille 15 was the biggest disappointment for a tier 10 TD I've ever had to experience.
Started playing on and off in 2014, I didn't rush straight for Tier 10 though, I worked up the British Tech Tree and had fun times with the Cromwell and Comet, Unlocked Every Tier 6 in the tech tree and then pressed on to Tier 10, I think it might be a far better method for new players, if you care about your stats at least!
It is a very common error to tier up to early in the game
I for my self did it also (not so excessively as the most I stopped at tier 8) but than I learned more about the game mechanics and saw it
I have Gone back to tier 5 - 6 and grinded ever other lines and crew (mediums hevys lights tds arty) to look what suits my play style better and after understanding I got back to tier 8 and since 2 months I have a tier 9 (a second is on the way)
OK the process of understanding and learning was slow because I played only occasionally but after +700 battles in my Pz4(second gun mark) and AMX ELC (third gun mark) I have understood that I needed but one thing I do leak is the meta and map knowledge cause I play only occasionally (especially in high tier 8-10)
Can't believe you didn't talk about the sad weak points of the Pz.Kpfw VII. Angle the tank easy pin on the round hull portion. Dont angle the tank. Easy pin on the lower plate. It has its moments but as a brawler it's lacking more than its impressing.
If you want to showcasee, that GER tanks are NOT weak, the Pz7 or the T10-LT aren't the best choices I guess :-)
@@agmf5420 Valid point. Was actually playing the Pz.Kpfw VII just before I watched the video and by the title I thought surely it would be covered. In hind sight I realize that German tank weaknesses hadn't truly been the focus.
Hey QB, Hope you and Tanya are coping with the current situation. Sorry not to have been too active with tour videoes etc recently, but I have not had much time for WOT generally. I do struggle with the difference between WOT and WOWs, as in the lack of a Co-Op Battle in WOT. Co-Op battles do allow you to get XP, Free Xp, "Crew" XP by playing bots rather than players and give youna better chance vs players in Team battles later on.

Vk 168 (Mauerbrecher) has 48.77 % Winrate. (Lower then the Tech Tree VK.100 witch have 50.91%)
Panther 8,8cm has 46.56 % Winrate. (Lower Then the Tech Tree Panther II witch have 49.24 %)
So learn some Math or Shut up.

In world of warships its blatantly obvious that theres Russian bias. Ships that were never more than an idea and are at least 20% better than their counterparts.

Soviet bias exists:
0. DEFENDER/252
1. The game was made predominantly done for russian market by belorussians and russians
2. WG insists of using soviet penetration tables where it was proven that in those tables western penetrations are lowered
3. Real life t-62 and t-54 had fire rate while stationary of ~4 shots per minute, however in game that is different
4. 99.9% of manufactured T54s had upper front plate of 100mm, in game 120mm, because reasons.
5. Difference between soviet tanks and chinese soviet based tanks is huge weakpoint on top of chinese tanks.
6. How long did it take for WG to nerf:
- ISU152 gun (5 years)
- KV-1S 122mm gun (4 years)
- tier 5 KV-2 (3 years)
7. There are 40+ soviet premium tanks
8. Bounciminium/Stalinium armor - chinese tanks which are soviet-based lack all of that curve and space armor. WONDER WHY.
9. T22
10. Obj. 907 (hows your ranked gameplay?)
11. T100LT "magic" depression
12. This 1095801958015 mention of russian bias, there are thousands of topics about soviet bias, there is even a KNOW YOUR MEME page about soviet bias so something is up. We didnt agree in secret meeting to start believing in russian bias.
Ad.3 The soviet doctrine was to outnumber the west with more mobile tanks with greater tactical range. Western doctrine was to overcome it with higher firepower. This is the historical part that WG prefers to forget it exists.
Don't forget the "not a T-64" Lt-432 with 8 degrees of gun depression because fuck you, pay us money.

"Weak German.." Two words that cannot be placed right next to each other.
WoWs player here. Hilariously enough the German ships in our game are super situational and not meta at all whereas the Soviet ships are stupidly strong and meta. In the end of the day you have to remember that WG is a Russian company with Russian bias baked in right into their employees. It’s mildly annoying and historically inaccurate but it’s the price you pay to have these two games that’re really fun and addictive.
Hopefully one day another company will make a competing game and it won't be biased in anyway. I would love a historically accurate game in this kind of format. Both for tanks and ships.
The main problem with the E50 is, that he is so clumsy and slow, almost a manouverbility like a heavy.

Back when QB made one of his first videos about the Grille 15, either when it first came out or when it got nerfed shortly after I said in a comment that it was a terrible tank, and I got some flak for it. Now its weak and under powered, it has been since it came out. A good tank destroyer needs armor like he said at the start or it needs actual working camo, which the Grille 15 has neither of.
Immediately fell in love with my KJagdpanzer 105 the moment I lay my eyes on it. Sure it got no armor and it’s dps is poor but it does shoot and scoot quite well(finally aced it lol)

Hey quickybaby, just wanted to pop in and say how much I appreciate your WoT videos. You've been playing this game for ages and still manage to upload on a fairly regular basis. This is very respectable from my point of view because whenever I get bored I just stop playing and come back in a few months and I know I'll always have some quality content to come back to watch.
Also, I really appreciate your positive attitude and entertaining, yet focused nature.
I'm such a fool for spending 4 years to grind the German tech tree because I thought they were strong...
Personally, i wish the Grille 15 would be the perfected trope of being a stealthy sniper like the WT auf Pnz IV or even the Rhm Borsig but combined with its superb mobility would have made the TD the assassin of the battlefield.
its more like, WW2 german vehicles are in the same tier as soviet cold war stuff, so the german tanks arent weak, they just have to fight tanks that they never ever saw in real life. if they put an unchanged tiger 2 in tier 6 against T-34s and shermans, the story would be very different
I kinda wish for the E50 and E50M to have the same turrent model as the "light armor" option from the steel hunters game mode valkyrie vehicle. Because its a shame to call this a armored medium tank when the lower plate is as big as the upper one and has a tier 8 turrent!
As to the Grille 15 I'm still at the tier 7 St Emil with the 10,5 cm gun. Grinding to the 12,8 cm.

The real problem of the WoT is not the overpowered russian tanks, but the corrupt RNG. No matter how good you are - there is always 50%:50% win:lose ration. This is not acceptable and this is why I don't play WoT anymore, after so many money spend there.

Did I ever mention, that I faking LOVE YOUR VOICE?!? I don't even really care about the game! Whenever I had a rough day and I am feeling down, I always watch your videos, even the old ones, just to hear your voice. It always puts a smile on my face♥️
I do think the main problem of German Techtree is the middle tiers are so awful to play at least for a mediocre player like me. I just cannot imagine how I can get through that horrific tier 5 6 and 7s and tier 8 and especially tier 9 have some quite good German tanks like E50, WT IV, E75, leopt. But the path to them is really struggling.
Hey Quickybaby, I've watched your channel for years and have always enjoyed the content. My first every experience playing WoT was back when it was first introduced to console. It use to be a copy and pasted version of the version on PC, but nowadays it's a money hungry version that feels like it's less about a good game and more about a quick cash grab. It even still has tanks like the Waffle and FV215B 183. The game is even testing a new mechanic where no matter how far you are from your enemies, you're able to see tanks in the distance. It essentially makes spotting virtually useless as you can shoot across maps at tanks that have never even been spotted. I was wondering if you ever considered looking into this a making video about the vast differenceces between console and PC? I believe the video would make for an interesting look into a different iteration of the game. Hope this doesn't get lost in the comment section!
Leopard is my first an old T10. I love it.
There are a handful of German tanks that shine (mostly premiums, like E 25 and Skorpion G). But these are in mainly support roles. It's hard to think of a German tank that can force/carry the battle, like the Russian 268 V4, 430U, 277, 252U (same tier or less).
VK100.01P, E-75, E50, E50M, Leo PTA and Leo 1 are all _really_ good tanks.

The fact the KT and Panther are jokes in this game is nothing short of atrocious. Such legendary tanks reduced to fodder.
2 of the few tier X tanks that I own are the E50 M and the 121. 121 was my first tier X, actually. So I’m happy that these two are getting attention, it always felt strange to me for the E 50 M to supposedly have armor, yet I’d get penned more than not. I get it’s a medium tank, not suppose to have some crazy amount of armor, but I felt like where I played it’s supposed strengths, found it was more a chance play than an actual strength.
I loved the 121 in the fact it was the one and only medium tank at tier X that had 440 alpha. THAT was it’s strength. Regardless of how “lame” it’s armor was, it packed a punch, and to me that’s what I loved about it.
Since they released the Obj. 430 U... It’s been saddening. It was saddening, especially with the match making attempting to compare them as equivalents. They weren’t equals. The 430U has always been better.
Hopefully this armor buffs evens the playing field. The 121 favors gun handling over armor, 430U armor over gun handling, but the difference is at 20mm of armor, only 5.
I don’t know, we will see. I’m optimistic.

I have Maus, E100 and they both sucks. Problem is that weakspot is your turret. You need to angle and therefore you cannot shoot. Other tanks aiming to me all the time and they are waiting for me to look at them. I off course cannot penetrate because their turrets are invulnerable even for gold ammo.
Imho we need another sneaky flanking sniper TD at tier X. Sure we have strv 103b, but it's siege mode is not that good. What I'm trying to say is that a tank like amx cda 105 on tier X would bring more alternative gameplay. Sure we have grille, but it's camo and rof doesn't fit that role.
I saw some projects on making TD on leopard 1 chasis (google jagdleopard) and imho it would be extremaly fun to play. High rof and camo values combined with great mobility and no need for pesky siege mode would refresh tier X TD gameplay.
The problem with grille 15 is that even it has .27 accuracy, I have better hit ratio on my obj430 than in grille. Accuracy is one of the most deceiving stats in WOT.
So the E50M will have a better turret than the Maus?
I love my E 50 M and my Leo but the worst thing about the Leo is that you are ROYALLY fucked if your team is made up of potatoes that die within 2 1/2 minutes of battle. You can brawl in the E 50 M and you can at least survive getting hit.
You mentioned the heavy tank positions and heavy tank locations... Mayb you can do some tips\tricks videos on such topics for the types of tanks on the different maps.
QB you say the T110E3 is boring yet I hold the record for damage blocked by armor in both T95(before HD update and speed update yes back when its top speed was as slow as tog 2) and T110E3 which have yet to be broken and this was back when the WTAUFE100 was boss so I'd like to see what you have to say about that, both battles were on fisherman's bay and were back 2 back games where I went into the city with an e100 both times and held off the entire team blocked 305k in T95 and 310k in t110e3

Why is “everyone” dropping coated optics like crazy on all their tier 10s? The standard used to always be Optics, Vstab, Rammer, but now all of the sudden “people” are taking off Optics for their tier 10s for vents. View range is STILL more important then vents in the higher tiers, especially with new equipment. I would like to get your take on this Quicky.

My cursed german tank is the Tiger I. From my first game to the last i had a catastrophic matchmaking. No top tier game, always low dog in T9 game. This is the only one tank which i've been so unlucky with. :(

AMX50, huh. That was my first tier 10, but I sold it for the Black Market event. I can't say I did well on it, but I do miss that tank, especially the tier 8. I wonder how it performs now. I rarely ever see it in tier 10 battles.

Grille 15 is a lot of fun.. Not as much fun as the Waffenträger auf E 100 maybe? But still its the best Sniper Tank in the game of good reasons.
It's 15cm gun is one of the best guns in the game. It's one of the most accurate and fastest aiming guns in the game. And it fires highly damaging AP shells with awesome velocity.
Sure it has no armor so it demand a different kind of gameplay, but if I like that sniper-gameplay so it suits me. Of all tanks I think I have had most fun runs with it.. maybe not all of them were wins, but even a game that fails can be great fun.
When I started watching your vids I had a 47% wins and after watching a lot, and I mean a lot of your videos it has gone up to 52%, so thank you for that, keep up the good work you absolute legend

Hey QB, do you have a video that shows the updates in WOT? I haven't played in a couple years and there are so many things! I feel lost on what I should or should not be paying attention to. Maybe a video for new players to WOT?
I agree with Foch when he says just give these tanks good accuracy, like the Swedish TDS. But no, just slap 270 turret armor on which makes it a 50% chance with a good tier 10 gun or a 100% chance if you load the gold. Would be great if they rewarded skill instead of making everyone press their 2 key. I stopped playing this in 2016 and came back the last couple weeks and the difference in the pay to win element is much worse. Even with all the improvements... I like the new looks / teams seem to play a lot smarter / and the artillery reword is definitely an improvement. But I can't take the game seriously with how pay to win it has become.
It's not obviously pay 2 win, but it still encourages paying. High tier economy is bad, "gold" shells are expensive, and with how pervasive their use is, you practically have to buy a tank or run a premium account to break even. Then of course there are all the badly balanced premiums. There will be people who say the game isn't pay to win, but if you go free the deck is stacked against you.

I watch this game to see players like QB use the skills like map knowledge and game sense that you don't get as much in other games. But my point is the pay to win element has gotten worse and the changes pointed out in the video are another example why.

For me the balance is too far gone to have the feeling that I'm playing something fair or wanting to improve, but everyone will have a different opinion on where the line is.

Grille 15, the gun fails it way too often. it is a troll cannon that is supposed to be accurate but rarely is.
grille and leopard are good, e50M will be good after the buffs, the rest of the tier 10 german tanks are just turds. E100, Maus, Pz 7 are just big meatballs; E100 and Maus people just press 2 and load HEAT and the rounds go right through the armor (most T10 Soviet tanks have 340 HEAT or above, what a coincidence!). Pz 7 could be OK but WG left big weak spots on the sides that even regular rounds will go right through if you side scrape with it (whats the point of the rear turret then?). Rhm Pzw is just terrible, it's a meme its so bad. Jg Pz E100 is so slow and the meta is fast tanks firing HEAT that it's just a novelty tank you bring out for some lols sometimes to maybe get a good hit with the gun. And that's just the T10 tanks.
Soviet tanks ARE better. There are multiple mechanics in place in the game that are the way they are because it benefits Soviet tanks.
I'd like to disagree on heavies part. German tanks have more hp that any other country and that makes them amazing when people shoot gold or are just good players who know enemy weakspots. Top tier heavies like S. Conq or Kranvagn cannot afford to take a hit from other heavies bcs if it penetrates it will take no less than 20% of their hp. And don't get me started on HE which shreds all those Chieftains and Conquerors. German tanks just bounce HE with thick not sloped armor. They are amazing damage sponges that can take a beating and return a solid punch.
German TDs that lead to the grille (wish it's still the WTF E100) are sneaky TDs that snipe from afar and use their concealment to move and shoot with their large and accurate guns.
German heavies has the highest HP in game that act like damage sponges for their team and return fire with a good and solid gun.
The german non turreted TDs are frontline TD unlike the grille line they're meant for about medium range combat and support their teams.
The E100 line is mostly for being a heavy tanks that has some properties of medium tanks.
I wanna play eu cuz it seems that all the heavies like to sit in the open when tds are farming them. In NA everyone just camps at the back

My first tier 10 was the Rhm Pzw. Next I went and got the Leopard. Safe to say, I suffered for a while. Now that I'm a bit better I quite like both tanks though.

Grille is my favorite tier 10 td. So many missions done with that
