i thought the same, seeing the standards now on the pga this really seems a classy player from a decade ago, being off the tee 30 yards behind does make a difference, but with that iron game everything changes, but doesnt save you all days.
I do think his “short off the tee” stigma would s overplayed though. He smoked that tee shot right at the opening of the video and right in the middle of the fairway
It's been a long time since I've seen him play golf, but he's as good as ever with a putter! The swing is smooth and stable, and the irons are sharp.Once upon a time, I longed for him and had Mizuno golf clubs in my bag. I think I'll go back to Mizuno irons.
I have to disagree, because we have seen plenty of rounds (highlights) from Ryan Fox throughout the season, because he has been just amazing and posted a lot of -8's and won a lot as well. I think it's nice to see Luke Donald playing well which does not happen nearly as often as for Ryan most recently. I really struggle to understand though how on earth Ryan Fox did not play in Presidents Cup. He is not appreciated enough in the golf world, but I can't really say why exactly.
Not sure I would say “plenty” but what you say makes sense… so, well said! As I know Ryan to be a good guy, great golfer and a great kiwi, I guess I was jumping to his defence because for me, it seems he doesn’t the coverage he deserves.
@@golfnutnz9274 makes sense as well, Ryan is unique and very good and that is really entertaining, because, at least for me it's fun when somebody plays that well with technique more often seen among amateur golfers (I mean the strong grip specifically). Rooting for him for sure, because he seems geniuine and I love it when a guy who swings like this can defeat somebody with a modern swing.
One of my favourite golfers to watch and a classy guy too.
Vintage stuff. Wonderful tempo, so fluid and easy. Such a change from all the power golf of nowadays.

Great rythm& balance , nice to see golf playedthat way
Very much so
Absolutely love his swing, goals
swinging smooth, sticking them close, making putts.... Great to see Luke doing what he does

Me too and still having it in my bag. An MP32.
Right now I'm using SRIXON irons. If I decide to buy a new one, I'm considering SRIXON or Mizuno.
Fantastic golf swing .
Well done Luke by far the best all round golfer on the planet !
Man it'd be awesome to see him have one more hurrah.
One of the greatest swings of all time
One of the best putters ever.
Class ☘️☘️☘️
5:09 those greens are dryyyyyyyyy lol THUNK
Luuuuuke 👌🏼
Nice 'members bounce' on the 18th!
Camera work is not exactly up to scratch (scuse the pun)
Did the people standing by the course know that a game was in progress? 🤦🏼♂️🤣
They’re showing luke because he’s the Ryder cup captain. Unfortunately all it takes is a poor putting day and he’s 10 behind
Llluuuuukkkkkeeeee! 🗣😅
Ryan fix a great Australian golfer
Are you trying to trigger as many people as possible?
Luke Donald -7 and Ryan Fox -8 and in the lead, and you show Donald! You don’t ever seem to give Foxy the showing or recognition he deserves 😡

I’d rather watch Donald than fox any day of the week, but I get your point that they should show the leader
Is fox the ryder cup captain and a former world nr 1 ? I dont think so

No highlights from the actual leader?? Seems Fox only gets highlights once he's won and they are forced to show him
Really?
The clues in the title “Luke Donald round 1 highlights”
These are the highlights? Leaving putts short and playing out of the bushes?
NICE NICe! Game is coming back.
