On the lot now is a super cool 1972 Chevrolet El Camino! The 1972 model year was the last for the 3rd-Generation El Camino, which was introduced in 1968. The '72 El Caminos sported large single-unit "Power Beam" headlights, single-unit parking and side marker lights on their front fenders, and a revised twin-bar grille that set them apart from their previous-year counterparts. This specific '72 still comes equipped with its original numbers-matching 402 C.I. V8 and a 4-barrel carburetor! All that power is then connected to the rear axle through a 3-speed "Turbo-Hydramatic" automatic transmission. The bright red paint with black rally stripes looks incredible laid out over a superbly straight body. The black vinyl bench seats are very comfortable, ensuring that this El Camino is ready to go at a moment's notice. Options on this great '72 include an updated AM/FM/Cassette stereo system, a black vinyl top, a tilt steering wheel, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, a heater + defroster, and a dual exhaust system. This '72 rides on a set of factory-style Chevrolet rally wheels on top of some great BF Goodrich RWL tires. All said, this '72 El Camino looks great and drives even better!

I love that El Camino, but the one I'm looking for is a 77 model in that good of shape or better. I had a metal flake sugar brown one with Firestone 721 tire's and deep dish Cragar Chrome mags😎 it was beautiful and comfortable a very sweet ride that got a lot of attention!!

When did the El Camino get a 400? Only SS El Camino's I ever saw were 396 or 454. My best friend had the 454...

Nice El Camino. Chevy never made a 400 big block. They made a 400 small block. What you have there is likely the 402 big block which is technically a 396.

400? 400 is a small block. Its most likely a 402. Which came out right after the 396 which they bored out 30 over making it a 402

    Yeah RIGHT!
That’s what I thought when I bought mine.
    You’d be an idiot
to go driving that thing around town.
    You chase it’s worth.
    $25,000?
    You’ll buy it
and continue to make it WORTH that price.
Gotta keep up with the Joneses...

Just insure it, its just a car like any other. If worth or future value is a concern dont buy a car they arent investments.
The fun is where the $ is worth it...from being out on the road.
