PHEV with EV range of 50-60 miles will be in demands for people who works in the office at least - use as EV for daily commute to office and for weekend and holiday, long journey to place like Scotland will be also easy and not need to worry about battery charging (can charge at service station if wanted to).
Personally I feel the PHEV thing it’s not very long lasting. EREVs will do 200+km pure EV range. And the engine doesn’t drive the wheels meaning you always have electric motor power with instantaneous torque.
The flying car from Xpeng reminds me of a startup in California, called Joby Aviation, which is developing all-electric flying robo-taxis. Toyota recently announced their $500 million dollar investment into the company which includes a manufacturing partnership as well. Although slightly different from the Xpeng, but worth noting here.
"Flying cars" or "personal drones" are an area where there seems to be a lot of upside. But in China where airspace i tightly controlled I don't see these plays as a domestic market thing generally. Hell Helicopters are rare in cities filled with high net individuals. While some might be bought by people in China, I think the main target is outside of China
If you’re English, I wouldn’t if I were you!! Petrol and diesel are due to be cut out if we still have a Labour government!! It won’t happen until 2035, but I would strongly suggest that you future proof yourself by going electric!!
Can you divide the video so I can only watch which brand Im interested in ? like this way I skip the content and just focus on a single brand frustruated
I took a swim in a Yangwang U8. Experiencing the emergency flotation feature. If you’d like to see it let me know and I’ll put out a video 🎉
Sounds awesome! 😎👍
Please do, am looking forward to it!
OK I have a JIDU Robo-X video first. Then I'll put together the Yangwang U8 swimming video.
But thats just me in the car randomly talking haha
@ChinaDriven the jidu looks wicked cool, can't wait
BYD Xia (Xia Dynasty) MPV looks good man!
I need to get one to review...maybe back to back with a Denza D9 would be good...

REEV is much better than PHEV....you need a lot more electric range than 60 rubbish miles.
GAC Aion is popular in the South. Guangzhou is their home ground. They are getting popular abroad.
Kinda in the Name Guangzhou Auto Company lol
I can never forget the year when a petrol flying car visited the Enfield Pageant of Motoring. We’re hoping that the same vehicle will drop in again!!
YangWang U7 is a car I would love to get.
For me it’s got to be a small campervan in which I can go Buggeroffski for at least a weekend every month.

1:49 does this have a safety feature for people coming too close to the blades? I saw video of man dying from helicopter blades
No idea. No one is allowed nearby it when it's getting ready to take-off. But for sure it seems like a hazard!
A city car is really a tiny thing!! It wouldn’t be any good for me!! And if it’s over 4 meters long, it’s slightly longer than London could take!!
What??? I missed the flying car / drone part. When did they do that? I rode in the U8 floating car though.
They had two demos at GZ auto on media day when I was there. One in the morning and on in the afternoon
So does Z9 come in pure EV?
I feel like BYD missed an opportunity here by not doing the Wukong collab with a Tang.
There were many Wukong themed BYDs and BYD sub brands. But honestly felt very skin deep.
Like a sticker pack you could buy off taobao

Not enough BYD EVs.

The video chapters are in the description. The video should automatically be divided.
