It stars Jean Reno as a mob hitman, Gary Oldman as a corrupt DEA agent, a young Natalie Portman, in her feature film debut, as a 12-year-old girl who is taken in by the hitman after her family is murdered, and Danny Aiello as the mobster who gives the hitman his assignments.

Yoo they literally left half the movie out on Netflix 😂 I keep finding more in more scenes.
Right I didn’t even see this??
i knew i wasnt crazy !! i remember seeing this scene when i first watched it and had to look it up to see if i was remembering things wrong
This scene is from the extended version, and is never shown on TV broadcasts and streaming sites. Guessing that the theatrical cut is also somewhat cut on Netflix?!. Blu ray is the way to watch this movie...
Wtf is "more in more" supposed to mean
@@alexwalker4329 morenmore
The full movie is 2:12 hours (132 minutes). But, here on RUclips and on Netflix it's 1:49 hours (109 minutes). There are many cuts in iconic and very interesting scenes.
Sadly, Netflix never proposes extended or director's cut for any movies...
@@xekantoine2479 Really, to access the full (European) version, I had to buy the movie on DVD.
@@locyoliveira5705 got a link? I Wana buy the right one. Thanks in advance
Sorry, but I don't think I can help you.
I live in Brazil, and I bought it on a local website .
I believe that if you pay attention to the duration of the movie (132 minutes), you will buy the correct dvd.
Like most things American, cannot offend nor introduce meaningful consideration of the material.
luc besson is an great 90s director imo
She was so much fun and Jean a great actor.
She was very CUte&fuNNY
Is it just me or she's way better actor as a kid
It's not better actor, it's better role. She played a lot of insignificant caraters as an adult (including Amidala who was boring as fuck). But she remain very good at acting in my opinion, she did great in V for vendetta.
It’s just you.. dummy
Yeah but let’s not forget about Black Swan she was stuning!
I agree. Portman is incredibly boring as an actress now. She lost all her charm long time ago
Amidala boring? They made her that way. As padmé she is increadible and also as Evey in V for Vendetta. Of course in Black Swan she is great. But in Leon she is beyond greatness for her age. This movie is one of the kind. I absolutely love it.
Sad to see many people here unaware of these scenes because they only use streaming sites. These scenes, plus more, are integrated into the physical release of this masterpiece. Dvd, blu ray and 4k blu.
A truly unforgettable masterpiece, and a touching film. With such a perfect cast of the Underrated Jean Reno, Natalie Portman, Gary Oldman, and so many others, it literally created a film that was perfect with such a strong emotional, action-packed storyline and what a soundtrack. Honestly, one of the very few films, that you can truly say has no flaws, and one that everyone can agree is perfect. With such a low budget to work with, created a true masterpiece, A film, that'll never be forgotten.
How can anyone top your comment.
Just in a few well chosen English words…..
Iconic film.
Eric serra beautifully scored this movie.
She’s a good actor

Not many people can say 'beatcha' to Leon then laugh in his face.
What does it mean? Beatcha?

Top masterpiece of all time.
Love this movie much , classic,a well written,good actors , unforgettable one♥️
I've watched this movie thousands of times but have never seen this dinner scene before.🤔
Director's Cut.
The ring trick really. Worked 😂
Mathilda is a girls with a strong personality when she smiles she spreads joy to me, when she laughs HA HA HA. Cuteness and temperament, no actor can play the role as well as Nathalie Portman. 😍 💗 💖 🙆
She’s an exhibitionist brat. That maniacal laughter in the restaurant is a case in point.
2:08 Leon: *Thinking to himself* I'm never doing this again.....
One of best Luc Besson's mind blowing action packed. Natalie Portman so young naive and brave. Jean Reno shoot to kill and he has nobody to love. Watch it if you like crazy shooting maniac kind of movie.
Yes, and a whole lot of the movie it is necessary to suspend your disbelief. If that was a real hand grenade exploding so close, it would have blown their ear drums out. Just gratuitous violence for violence sake. Rubbish.
Portraying from Mathilda to Lady Thor, Natalie Portman is a true icon in her own time.
yeah just that Lady Thor sucks, if we're talking about her iconic roles Nina from Black Swan is her greatest performance imo
An icon for pedophiles. Most of her child movies were depicting her in sexualised ways.
I love this scene
one of my favorites Movies
I like that ring trick.
Some truth in this scene, were def not allowed to talk about today.

Ring to knock
If could of only been that easy their would be not need for a ring….
The ring 💍 Tick symbolize this dichotomous relationship between society and the social constructed consciousness around ageism and love. 😢 The scene encapsulates continuity in intimacy unfolds to later be pondered by the mind…. Like a candor flame ablaze….Thank you Mathilda ❤❤❤
Mathilda is one of the characters that must be protected at all costs.
More like leon must

If my neighbor's dog doesn't shut up I'm gonna use the ring trick.
What kind of restaurant is that? People are so chill. They don't even looked at her once.

Such a highly polemic scenario dealt brilliantly by fine actors and great screenplay. A wonderful film ... superbly entertaining.

Dope!!!!!
Had he survived and mathilda become an adult, those two would have gotten together eventually
He only rejected her because she was too young for him
He should have took her virginity
No. He looked at her as his daughter. She didn't understand the feelings she had about him. Normal, she lived in a dysfunctional family. He was always trying to explain what she had was not romantic love. Nevertheless it was love she had.
If he survived they could have a normal life. Her at school and him working in a normal job. He died to let Mathilda live. And she knows it. Watching the extended version brings a lot of how they changed each other.
@@PhlilipeAlvesI agree about the dysfunctional family and her being confused about the love she had for him but that’s usually what it takes for a woman or girl to fall in love: A strong leader. Leon was stoic, strong, determined, showed no fear, skilled, knowledgeable. He had everything that would constitute a woman to fall in love
A good movie
I understand the anime requiem for a phantom now they basically just watched this movie XD!
The full European release is the must-see film. The Netflix version is typical American puritanical-censored crap.

YEP ! ME TOO BEAUTIFUL
Natalie Portman was an outstanding actress.
Was.
a story like this could never be told today, hence why big streaming businesses cut out half the movie. at this rate, we might not be able to tell profound stories by 2030, just cookie cutter heroes like superman stopping a superficial bad guy without any profound depth to any of the characters. No traits that make them believable humans, reminds me of manufactured pop stars.
Menina danada
Gaitosa essa cena
It's weird, I have absolutely no recollection of this scene, and I've seen this movie in theater and many times after. Was there some some of extended version made years after?

So disturbing
I swear Matilda is creepy, I'm scared of her. there's this uncanny and maniac about her
Probably because shes insanely confident, or more like confused at times, trying right here to make a grown man get intimate/sexual with her, by basically throwing herself on him, AND doesn’t mind getting involved in assassin activities.
She is very scary! She’s not a normal child….
Plus I think the hair adds to it…
@@CurlyFry. What? The hair's cute.
@@YannY1150 I have nothing against Bob hairstyles like that one, or whatever it may be called. I just think it’s a bit of an odd hairstyle for a young girl… I don’t know, there’s just something a little… OFF about it. Not saying it’s terrible. Just saying it doesn’t look quite right.
It’s because she’s desperate to grown up, she does things to try to impress people about her maturity.
no istg she's just being creepy because she's drunk af and mad in love with the grown up hitman. @@BLTKellys

It has to be against the law for
a child this young to be that seductive. In a certain & tragic way losing her innocence.

The waiter reminded me of Tom Holland.

A versão do Netflix e do RUclips é a americana (com cortes) com 1:49hs (109 minutos). A versão europeia (do diretor e completa) tem 2:12hs (132 minutos). Eu somente consegui a completa comprando o dvd no Mercado Livre.
Sexual child assault
