people just see a game similar to one they heard of before and just go "uh duh is this a copy oh he copying"
trove is an actual game getting updates, fully fleshed out with hundreds of dungeons, boss layers(shadow towers), and stuff like clubs, gardening and even a exploration mode,
their 2 completely different games i mean what can you possebly compare? (btw i dont hate cube world i just feel more qualified to talk about trove)
@@zzdahaewae Trove is actually copying a lot of stuff from other games and personally I don't like the way it's done. I think it's a matter of what you like because I for example don't like Trove at all with it's unneeded mashups from other games and I still like Cube World for it's setting.

"Wollay will not let us down." That really didn't age well and it's only been two weeks!
Indeed, a shame that most of the Cube World community were blind to that until it was too late, although I can hardly blame them considering just how much subtle hype this was getting, with each and every tweet from the mysterious developer that is Wollay, no matter how small, was of true significance to the dedicated few fans, and how their faith was rewarded at last with an official release earlier last month!
*It's just bad he gutted the old version in favour of something far less polished and well-thought, seeing how it's removed what made the original Cube World so fun and replaced it with something that punished exploration and skill in place of what had the iconic, addictive RPG-style gameplay with it's (still) great and unique cube-retro graphics. A shame really. :(*

Emotions aside, it's a common tactic to garner support by claiming that you're depressed, and when it's inconvenient, your illness takes a back seat. A common factitious disorder tactic to generate more hype.
Use logic, not emotions and you'll see how it is highly likely that this is another cash grab.

He let a couple of idiots get him so depressed that he close his ears to the whole community. When you get in the limelight, you have to have tough skin because there is always going to be someone throwing blows at you. Because he didnt to want to get feedback from his loyal fans, he winded up adding and changing things in the game that most people did not want. The game has a 41% review score on Steam right now. Hopefully he can turn that around, but I dont think he will even care.

@@littlemoth4956 because actually it's all "attack this", "attack that" and the upgrade system makes no sense since you don't need to upgrade due region change==item loss. You get what you can, clear everything and then leave.

I remember way back when when I first watched a video about CubeWorld. It looked marvelous, and I was eager to see where'd it'd go. But as the years went by, it kinda just slipped my mind. One day, thoughts of CubeWorld resurfaced, and I was curious to see what became of it. I thought the game would've been out, but I was surprised to see it was STILL in development. I thought it would've been a long time before we finally saw a release date. I'm happy such a great game, was never tossed aside, rushed, and snatched up by Epic. I'm happy to see Wollay held on to his passion project, and never let go. Great respects to Wollay, cheers. 🍻

@@NetherTaker Usually, F2P games have a lot of features that include things that you can pay for... and that things happen to be strong things. So, someone who paid 3$ in a game is a better player than you just because he has a better weapon. That's how Trove works.
@@default6274 Yeah but I don't think that's really p2w. Imo p2w means you *have* to pay to get ahead but you don't in Trove. Even though paying is faster nothing is really locked behind a paywall, progress wise.
@@NetherTaker People refers to F2P games like P2W because someone who paid always is gonna have the advantage on you. Skill is not necessary, just buy a weapon of the real life money shop and ready! You can kill everyone with two hits!
That's the reason why people refers to F2P in android as P2W, too. You must wait 6 hours for some upgrade and someone who pays have everything in the second, so no matter how good you are they have the advantage.

I played the Og Cube World, when it was new and was completely in love with it, it was the first rpg game i ever got to Lv100 in, even when my brother deleted my character, of course i was sad but i did not give up i made a new character, it was such a fun game i got the new 1 day 1 and I was dissapointed

Me and my friend used to sit and play cube world for what seemed like literal days on end, for a while it was absolutely my favourite game, whenever I’m asked to think of my favourite games for some reason I often forget cube world but honestly it’s probably in my all time top 3, I can not wait for this game to come out again

I bought into the Alpha in July of 2013 and have been dipping into it a bit every now and then waiting for news of Cube World. It was great to learn a few years ago that Cube World was still alive and kicking, but seeing all these nice little updates has been whetting my appetite. I had actually redownloaded Cube World and started playing it again thinking "Some day it's going to come out". It was then announced it WAS actually about to come out and I was really excited.
I got a LOT of nostalgia from this video, I first played Cube World when I was around 8, with my dad.

A cousin of mine bought the game with his friend and tried to play it when it came out on September 30 but kept having minor issues. After they did connect they didn't actually play for very long as checking the time now, they only played the game for just over an hour and they haven't touched it since. Either way, he said it wasn't very polished and didn't actually give me very many details. I myself have been following the game on and off since 2013 but it doesn't have the same spark for me anymore. Especially with recent events. I still think is probably fun for a while but... I don't think I would enjoy going into what is basically "new game plus" every time I go to a different area. I would probably hate myself for it after a while.
This is exciting news. Over the last several years, the game comes to mind and I always check back to see whats up. I'm excited to play!

I had no idea the backstory of the game's development.
I'm glad it's still being worked on, back in '13-'14, I got to play the alpha build with a friend and had a lot of fun.
All those years, we thought it was just a test of a voxel-based system that would later get made into a different game.
I can't wait to see what the final product is after all these years.
