As only a casual Star Wars fan and someone who loved The Acolyte, I think Qimir is currently an Apprentice himself who eventually breaks off and forms the Knights of Ren with Osha. I don't know if that fits into lore but that's my guess.
That would be cool. I am a Star Wars fan but I am not steeped in lore so dunno if it makes sense. It is kind of the MO of the Sith that though there are only 2 most powerful Sith are actively looking to kill the more powerful of the Duo and take on their own apprentice. The more powerful is always looking to upgrade apprentices or courting other powerful Parkside users to stay in power. The Knights of Ren being an ancient group that doesn't follow the rule of two is interesting.
Qimir being more attracted to Osha rather than Mae could be an experiential thing. Though they are the same person physically, their paths diverged with Osha joined the Jedi and Mae survived the destruction on the Coven alone as an orphan. He may be drawn to the pain and isolation Osha feels. He may relate more to what he senses about her past. He was apparently trained as a Jedi and abandoned or rejected, Mae is completely a wild Sith trained force user with no Jedi background. Great video!
My head is spinning with all the different names. This is why I’m not a chess player. 😮 As I posted elsewhere, Disney struck gold with Manny Jacinto and they’d be stupid to kill Qimir off.

The whole arc of the Jedi and the Sith is tragic. The Je'daii sought balance; the Jedi gave up balance for control; the Sith gave up control for power. Power corrupts; corruption brings a downfall; the downfall is tragic. The only way to avoid this arc is for one to give up power and control to maintain balance, something mortal creatures find nearly impossible to do. I think the plageis is using qimir as a puppet like snoke was for palpatine. And osha is the kylo ren being asked to kill her father to get into the club.
I think qimir and plageious were present at the ascension in episode 3. And qimir is imri / venomous. And Venestra has a force vision prophesying the fall of the Jedi and the chosen one.
I had assumed that he was the apprentice, which is why the girls were the acolyte(s). If he was the master they would be the apprentice(s) wouldn’t they? One thought I just had- there was speculation about a hooded figure on Brendock during the ceremony. I wonder if it will be confirmed that this was Darth Plageus now that we have seen him in the finale. Overall the show was a bit hit and miss for me and it doesn’t look like it did the numbers to ensure that is has a second series but I think it would be a great shame if it didn’t. If it does I think it has to concentrate on the journey, which was easily the most interesting aspect of the show. The flashbacks and Jedi elements really brought it down, or at least made the tone very uneven episode to episode. Let’s hope for more red saber action!
Initially I thought Qimir and Plagus must be rival apprentices of Tenebrous because it's 116 BBY, but too many Sith spoil the broth, the date of the death of Tenebrous in Legends is not canon, and given the theme of duality and juxtapositions in this show, the juxtaposition between Qimir's Sith and Jedi masters which is an inevitable one in season 2 would be undermined by the presence of additional Sith characters, so my current thinking is that Plagus is Qimir's master and Tenebrous is already dead. We know Qimir will never become the Master Sith, but he'd make a cracking first Ren.
Quimir has to fight Vanestra’s light whip next season, Plagueis let Sidius have Alcolytes. I believe Plaguis and Darth maul might of died around similar time.
I hope we get our first live action Starweird in skeleton crew a creature that terrifying and awesome looking deserves to be seen in live action seeing Darth Plagueis in live action was a dream come true I hope they don’t just throw in the towel and give up on the Acolyte series just because of the backlash cause I want to see more of him in season 2 if it happens
I assumed Qimir was the apperentice, but him being the Master is so interesting! The showrunner says the ending is a tragic one as we know they are doomed as all Sith are ultimately. But she liked that the moment can also be read as a happy ending. I think the rule if two and Plagueis (sp) lurking around bodes ill. Also, Osha will probably be haunted by the events od Season 1, even if she doesn't regret killing Sol.
At first I saw Qimir as a homeless drug dealer but then he unleashed on the Jedi, it changed everything. I grew to love that man! Now that the finale ended I feel big hole in my life. Is a world without Qimir a world we want to live in? We need another season in place, to see how the relationship with Qimir, Osha and the mysterious Plagueis turns out. So it began by man being chased by furious tiger. Tiger chased man to edge of cliff, man falls off, halfway down, he grab unto a branch, he look up, and see one hungry tiger, now he look down, he see another hungry tiger, waiting for him on the ground below, that not a good place to be, he know for sure, he gonna die, then out of corner of his eye. he saw a wild strawberry, growing from the same branch, so he plucks it, and eats it, and it was the sweetest-tasting strawberry he ever had.
I don’t think qimir would be the master of plagueis, just because of the Sith eyes that tells a lot I don’t think qimir has that much power compared to plagueis as is and I don’t think qimir holdin back and hiding Sith eyes but who knows lol
If this is 100 years in the past, his lifespan would naturally end before Palpatine would be born, or there abouts. Logically, if Plaguis is that long lived, he's have more than one apprentice during his time as a Sith. Even Osha would be dead by then as well probably.
I love how they left a perfect premise for season 2 being about Vernestra loosing her life tracking and killing the Stranger… every season could be about a Jedi Master dying and mind wipes the secret continues until we see Palpatine…
No…no…no. Disney struck gold with Manny Jacinto, and I think The Stranger is the only thing that can successfully pull us away from our familiar favorites and into the High Republic. He can’t be killed off.
Destined for Tragedy...we will see. Let´s take the facts: Neither Osha or Qimir are becoming Palpatines Master and are probably dead by the Time Palpatine starts his training. BUT...Palpatine starts his Training under Darth Plaqueis around 30 Years before "The Phantom Maneca" ...which is 70 Years !!! after "The Acolyte" ... Osha is around 24 Years Old (she was 8 at the Time of the Fire...16 Years after that fire plays "The Acolyte") Qimir Age is unknown...but I think he is between 30 and 35 So both would be around 90 to 100 Years old when Sheev Palpatine starts his Sith Training
the rule of two is stupid. they are just 1 accident away from being extinct. Now a rule of 2 per cell. that makes more sense but only 2 sith in an entire galaxy is thinking only a 12 yr old can come up with.

I reckon Q'mir might well be a human Venamis. We've had dual names before - Damask/Plageus, Palpatine/Sidious, Dooku/Tyrannus. Why not Q'mir/Venamis? Anyhow, here has to be a season 2 first.
The Star Wars franchise needs to develop the Omega character. Eventually, Omega will have an ultimate showdown against Thrawn… after being captured by Thrawn, and having her blood harnessed for Palpatine, until Asajj, Fennec, Boba, Hera, Ezra, Ahsoka, and Sabine rescue her from Thrawn, train her about the Force, the Sith, the Night Sisters, the Knights of Wren, and Assassin Martial Arts- through many adventures and missions…. to finally return for the series of epic battles Omega and Thrawn go against each other with.
Qimir and Osha are Palpatines parents. Starting the rumor now. He kills them both and becomes Pelagius apprentice, then kills him and the rest is history.
I hate the show, BUT as a story if it boils down to just bullet points, it is actually quite interesting. It’s just how these points get strung together where you see the problems. They could’ve done a much better job developing character motivations and to move them around the story. The pacing and acting needs lots of work too. It’s too bad how these flaws in the end details the show from its potential. I hope we do get a second season of the show, but with different people to execute it.
