Commercial Rotors Of The Past Ep 001 - The Rain Bird Talon 80&85

Hey friends ! Sorry this one took so long to get out !
We are looking at a pretty neat rotor today - The Rain Bird Talon ! These rare Rotors were in production along side the first generation Falcon and before the introduction of the 7005/8005 Rotors and before Rain Bird released their 551 and 751 Golf Block Rotors.
With the introduction of the 7005/8005 Series as well as the golf block rotors, these were unfortunately marketed out of existence and production was ended somewhere between 2002 and 2004.
Although only in production for a few years, the Talon would go thru many changes in nozzle design and even have a full circle model released in its final years. Bearing a striking similarity to the more modern golf rotors , the Talon lived on in the bodies of the RB 551 and 751 Block Rotors until they, too, were unfortunately discontinued.
