11.22.63 and The Outsiders are both really good shows and I would recommend those whenever but there is in so many King projects that same problem that the endings doesn't really work that well. They seem to work better on the books but are a bit out there for film or series and usually there is more room to explain it better and have better foreshadowing in the books.

Man, Kyle has me re-watching 11.22.63 again right now....I came back here to mention one scene and actor: the second episode when he’s staying in the second house, with the bitchy wife and the old man who don’t talk much. When the old man tells his “story” of how he got the bronze star in the war....WOW. Just wow...That old man is one HELL of an actor, I don’t care what anyone says. That scene got me emotional. That part when he got choked up and almost couldn’t say “bronze star” just gave me the goose bumps all over and again, just wow. Great show, and that actor is AMAZING.
Edit: DAMN IT...DAMN IT ALL TO HELL....I just finished the series and Harry is the kindest most gentle soul in the whole world...at the end Harry made me cry, hugging Jake and telling him that he is “ a good good man....”. I know Harry is a character, but I wish to meet his real life counter part. I know this soul exists out here, somewhere.....

He goes to Oct 1960, stays for 3 years, the girl is a librarian, and there are no earthquakes and lightning storms.(If that were the case then yes, that would have been a copout and lame af) Also he goes back and meets the girl one last time, realizes that no matter what she'll die if he stays, and then lets her go. That's what makes it endearing.

The guy asking the woman he loved for a dance as she’s a frail old lady and he’s still young but she has no idea who he is is really sad.

I thought the ending was stupid, and the character choices are really stupid too

I disagree, when it comes to SK, this ending in particular was near me focal and tied with a bow. I cried lol

@@Conwayy33 The relationship part was fine, my issue was that his direction with the jfk stuff was lame. Lije, he chose the most boring of possible explanations and it would have been way more interesting if he added meat to that.
By character choices, why wouldnt he just kill oswald in 62 and see what the outcome was? Or kill the mob guy connected with the cia in 60. Would have saved cdazy time.

@@AmericanGadfly right but you also have to factor in the years that go by waiting for the evens to happen. Sure he could’ve literally just shot a bullet in the air like 3 minutes before jfk even turned onto Houston ave. Surely then the motorcade would’ve bolted - who knows lol it’s a rabbit hole to hell

If you think about it. If a time traveler tries to stop a major event from happening, like the starting of WW1 for example, it’s obvious that time would try its damnedest to stop you mainly because of what would happen if it allowed you to make these changes, actually I’m of the opinion that the more further you go back like let’s say to the Roman Empire and trying to stop the assassination of Julius Caesar I feel trying to stop that would literally be impossible just due to how far back the event is and how impossible it would be to see how different the world would be. So at best if someone wanted to change something in history that person might at most have 100 years before time makes it impossible for you to even get close to the people involved with the event
