outro sounds like King of the Hill LMAO
Kyle is passionately telling his friends about a story he enjoys as they shit all over it. That’s true friendship right there.
@@ZeranZeran that’s unfortunate. so sad how you are both gay.
I think it’s kinda cool how time pushed back to try and stop him, his friend tried it and time gave him cancer for trying to change it
i always tell ppl how slept on this was… clever time-traveling narrative, with a quality love story ! woody’s tripping!
KYLE LOOK SO HURT HE JUS WANNA TIME TRAVEL AND SELL BORGAR
Kyle looks so frustrated when everyone makes fun of the show lol its hilarious. "Shut up you guys. You dont understand time travel like I do."
This sounds like an interesting story, I might need to check it out. I swear the things I learn from PKA is astonishing
Its worth a watch for sure
It’s a really dope show
Yeah they talk about a lot of things lol
Yeah man I would definitely give this show a watch and maybe read the book first if you’re that type of person lol. And yeah pka has provided me to much entertainment over the years. I am so grateful for the hosts
The book is 1000% better, and its not even close.
11.22.63 and The Outsiders are both really good shows and I would recommend those whenever but there is in so many King projects that same problem that the endings doesn't really work that well. They seem to work better on the books but are a bit out there for film or series and usually there is more room to explain it better and have better foreshadowing in the books.
I read my first book in years after hearing about 11.22.63 from Kyle on his first episode back from prison. Such an amazing book and a great series too. James Franco did a great job
Hey brother same, I wouldn’t have read it if it wasn’t for Kyle’s take on it when he came back. It is also the greatest book I’ve ever read, i actors a couple of times. If a book can move you like a movie can, it’s a keeper
Man, Kyle has me re-watching 11.22.63 again right now....I came back here to mention one scene and actor: the second episode when he’s staying in the second house, with the bitchy wife and the old man who don’t talk much. When the old man tells his “story” of how he got the bronze star in the war....WOW. Just wow...That old man is one HELL of an actor, I don’t care what anyone says. That scene got me emotional. That part when he got choked up and almost couldn’t say “bronze star” just gave me the goose bumps all over and again, just wow. Great show, and that actor is AMAZING.
Edit: DAMN IT...DAMN IT ALL TO HELL....I just finished the series and Harry is the kindest most gentle soul in the whole world...at the end Harry made me cry, hugging Jake and telling him that he is “ a good good man....”. I know Harry is a character, but I wish to meet his real life counter part. I know this soul exists out here, somewhere.....
So how is your search for this man going?
Good people, men and women, exist. Others just hurt them long enough for them to not get out into the world.
Duma Key was an excellent Stephen king story. After a traffic accident, a guy loses his arm, takes time off work by going out to some mansion in the bay area and takes up painting. In the night his ghost arm finishes off the paintings and they come alive.
Sounds gay
I nearly broke into tears when Kyle retold how he revisits his 'girl' i ALWAYS cried watching that scene.
If I'm not mistaken the weather effects were due to Kennedy being willing to use nuclear bombs to end Vietnam sparking the use of nukes more often worldwide, which caused the Earth's tectonic plates to shift and the geologic activity made volcanoes active in addition to the increase of nuclear fallout in the air.
Woody is such a toddler, every time he gets an option he can't hold it back for a second and if he does if whole body starts to go crazy, his eye brows are a clear sign of him trying so hard to bite his tongue
Very good show, should be on Netflix ! I love how uncensored and real the conversations are.
Loved 11.22.63. It was so good. If someone hasn’t watched it yet, do it
It’s funny, even years after watching the Hulu version, it’s still my favorite limited series ever. I still haven’t read the book, but I need to. The show always pops into my head but I don’t have Hulu 🤣
It's way better than the series.
Best book I have ever read
Seriously it’s my favorite book if you like reading in the least you should give it a shot. It’s great
I read the book, never watched the show. I kind of have a habit of just reading the book and never watching whatever show or movie comes out about it. Game of Thrones, this book, the stand, dark tower, I just enjoy reading more tbh.
I remember my english teacher in the sixth grade described this story to my class and it was really interesting. I remembered the ending very very clearly and it was completely amazing
Just finished watching it. I loved it.
I like how you can only watch woody in 4k but taylor and kyle are in 480p xD
The show was pretty good. You have to remember he never really wanted to save Kennedy in the first place that was the old guy's goal. The story isnt really about what changes after Kennedy is saved, its about what happens while trying to save Kennedy
listening to kyle talk about the book is both endearing but also frustrating because the amount of details he is getting wrong about it are astounding
The kyle said “sad tender moment” means he’s genuinely not the psychopath he portrays
Listened to the audiobook, Loved it
Still my favorite book of all time. You gotta give a half rock to the yellow card man
I can’t recommend this book enough after hearing about it from Kyle - greatest book I’ve ever read also!
Good premise, but it always ends up with the same Stephen King routine, I.e. unnecessary crap that is thrown in the third act, magical space wizards in this case.
I watched it when it came out. My favorite king story ever put on screen
Woody's hair when he took his headset off : )
You guys really need to do a smegment on “The Lighthouse” . Super charming movie 🍿
Currently reading this book and good God is it great.
All these shows and movies are starting to blend together.
Woody and TV plots going over his head. Name a better duo
taylor being pretty smooth brained in this clip. like a child complaining that there isnt enough action in a movie.
Well now I have a show to binge watch
“ i just told him how to end it better “ 😂😂
I tell everybody about this show and can’t get anyone to watch it. It’s a fantastic show to me
This is a message from the past.
Great TV show but even better book. They did change some things to make it a better TV show but as in most cases you miss out on interesting information they didn't have time for that was in the book.
I feel like my entire life must be me inadvertently trying to change the timeline drastically.
Kyle is so hilariously off with the dates, he could rattle off the title which IS the Kennedy assassination, say he has to go to 6 years before it, which is apparently 1961 or 1962 lmao
That steven king mini series premise about a invisible child raping monster is fucking hilarious
to be fair 80% of most Stephen King books aren't about what the book it about
It’s not a time machine. More like a time vortex.
Loves James Franco
Fuckin love this show
Woody was probably thinking of the movie they made after the book
when i initially read it i assumed 2063
They talked about this on a previous pka and got me to watch it. I wont spoil it but I’ll say it’s a high buildup, low payoff ending. At least in my opinion
He's not wrong about it being one of the greatest books. It's SO GOOD.
Completely recommended! The series is eh, though, compared to the book.
People that love shows/movies based of stephen king books are always like wtf when they actually read the book lol
Like how everybody runs a train on Beverly in IT
@@AZOMBIERYO I mean, it might just be me but I love the small plot developments that really make and develop the character, and after reading the book (more than a couple times over) the miniseries just doesn't compete. The films and miniseries' nearly always feel rushed, as they either try to pack everything in, or leave alot out. It's a hard bargain.
Yup the show is ok at best. Tbh it sucks
Thanks Woody, now I can’t read the book.
You guys need to watch Devs on Hulu and discuss it for us
I like sincere Kyle,
I bet you that books section about kennedy being bad for the future was funded by the federal reserve
I feel like there’s a time dilation joke in here.
20 year age difference- let's get James Franco!
How does Kyle not know the original outsiders
Fr
The book is really long but I thought it was an incredibly story, I was completely wrapped up in it. The only bad part is the stupid card guy.
Once you see Woodys nervous nerd eye twitch....
16:05 😳😳
I liked the show
Under the dome was a Stephen king book that I absolutely loved and then was a bit lost on the ending, not a bad ending but not a great one. Same with dream catcher too it was just kinda meh. Mr. Mercedes was good though I have to read the third one still
Such a good show.
6:58 🤣
What is the bloody point in the time portal if you can't change anything.... otherwise... EARTHQUAKES!!!!!!!! AGHHHHHHHHHHHHH
It would be hilarious if woody was wearing a diaper when he walked out at 14:15
Bro you down bad
Remember that great movie then the end comes aaaaaand... A BUNCH OF FUCKIN PACKMAN'S COME OUT AND EAT EVERYTHING (stephen king gets to the end of his movie scripts then thinks "hhmmmm ya know ..dmt would make this REALLY FUCKIN COOL"
Let's all just take a moment to acknowledge that Kyle, the self professed film buff, has no idea about the existence of the movies The Outsiders...
What us going on with Woodys eyebrows
Lol Nike branded diapers
10 cent meat and saving 1 person is the reason time travel shouldn’t be allowed to regular people.
So when he went back to save the family the girl ended up back in the wheelchair
The Stand was the same way. It sets up something really neat, but then the ending, literally a Deus Ex Machina, is pretty meh.
I would of had vietnam turn into WW3 and it's years after the nuclear war and they ment after civilization starts rebuilding post WW3 if Kennedy survived
Are you commenting on the book or the show? If it's the show, please go and rewatch because you're commenting off of like 80% incorrect facts. He goes to Oct 1960, stays for 3 years, the girl is a librarian, and there are no earthquakes and lightning storms.(If that were the case then yes, that would have been a copout and lame af) Also he goes back and meets the girl one last time, realizes that no matter what she'll die if he stays, and then lets her go. That's what makes it endearing.
11.22.63 was my dads birthday lol
CIA planned it
So what happens to the meat if you bring it back?
I'd time travel to season 6 of peaky blinders
Yoooo they need to do a segment on the good ole brummy boys, By Order of..
I’m watching it now and it’s 10/10
Man I'm so with Taylor on the resturant time machine owner
It was a wormhole smh
Anyone have any similar movie or series recommendations?
Please drop some if you know em!
What do you want that’s similar? Time travel?
Looper and Source Code are great movies that go into time travel
TENET
@@vsb3000 Time travel/sci fi in general
Stephen King adaptations are better than Stephen King books. Even he has said that, specifically about the ending of The Mist.
one of the few stephen king endings that i didnt find complete bullshit at least it gave a proper conclusion...
Kyles friends don't care bout dis story at all
While I liked the series, much prefer the audiobook. Narrator knocked it out of the park, I've relistened to the story a good few times now.
Considering we can physically travel in time by moving farther away from earths gravity and changing gravitational fields, time travel is real, proven and has been done. Look up the twin study.
Gravity isn't real
@@tubeguy4066 gravity is very real. Numerous tests you can do to show both earths gravity and create your own gravity. Please Bob
Isn’t that were you and someone the same age will age at different rates? Or is there a way to actually go back in time before you existed?
@@tonzo1129Yes, one twin ages more. it's the relativity between earths gravity and the distance traveled away + speed of return to the planet. The earth rotates more for 1 twin than the other.
@@onlyfacts7816 wouldn’t that be considered time deceleration and not time travel?
who else is frying like bacon
They forgot that JFK became a dictator in the new timeline.
Sounds awesome.
Someone should tell them to give "the man in the high castle" a go
That show sucks
Got kinda retarded but was a good idea 🤣
Started off well then got lost along the way.
Watch Travelers on Netflix
11.22 is my birthday thank you for listening
The book has an absolute trash ending....
What is it
Bring on Alex Jones
The guy asking the woman he loved for a dance as she’s a frail old lady and he’s still young but she has no idea who he is is really sad.
I thought the ending was stupid, and the character choices are really stupid too
I disagree, when it comes to SK, this ending in particular was near me focal and tied with a bow. I cried lol
@@Conwayy33 The relationship part was fine, my issue was that his direction with the jfk stuff was lame. Lije, he chose the most boring of possible explanations and it would have been way more interesting if he added meat to that.
By character choices, why wouldnt he just kill oswald in 62 and see what the outcome was? Or kill the mob guy connected with the cia in 60. Would have saved cdazy time.
@@AmericanGadfly right but you also have to factor in the years that go by waiting for the evens to happen. Sure he could’ve literally just shot a bullet in the air like 3 minutes before jfk even turned onto Houston ave. Surely then the motorcade would’ve bolted - who knows lol it’s a rabbit hole to hell
Why you saying time machine? It's not a time machine. Fml
Sometimes I wish Woody and Taylor would disappear during these discussions.
@That Guy Will do.
woodys strikes again with a awful take
Shocker
Did they say in the show why they picked that event not like idk killing hitler? LOL
because it only takes him to the same time and place every time they explained it
Because he cant. World War 2 had already ended 15 years before 1960.
likelikelike unable to not likelikelike spoil every mouvies
unable likelikelike to not to talk about likelikelike himself
If you think about it. If a time traveler tries to stop a major event from happening, like the starting of WW1 for example, it’s obvious that time would try its damnedest to stop you mainly because of what would happen if it allowed you to make these changes, actually I’m of the opinion that the more further you go back like let’s say to the Roman Empire and trying to stop the assassination of Julius Caesar I feel trying to stop that would literally be impossible just due to how far back the event is and how impossible it would be to see how different the world would be. So at best if someone wanted to change something in history that person might at most have 100 years before time makes it impossible for you to even get close to the people involved with the event
The ending was lame
