Shudder has the Creepshow reboot. That’s the only reason I’d buy a sub tbh. The Void is absolutely a very good low budget film.

Jump scares used to scare me so much as a kid I’d literally start crying if it was bad enough. When I turned 17-18 I got really into lsd, I tripped atleast 50 times and always had a blast, so one day I decided to watch a horror movie and see if It would fuck with me. I loved it, I’d watch movies known for their jump scares and since I was on acid I’d be able to feel the tense vibe and know when a jump scare was going to happen. My two favorites are the it movie that came out a few years ago and hereditary.
Doing acid and watching horror movies sounds like my own personal hell.

When I was taking a film class in college one of our movies was American psycho and I was one of three people that actually understood that everyone in that movie is a serial killer. Even so it's amazing to go back and watch it again to try and find all the little hints.
What do you mean, can you give some examples? Ive watched it a few times and haven’t come to this conclusion or seen anything about this.
@@mr.t0xic100 so you have to go and understand a few things, it's a lot of body language, but also remembering names of people that are said and who does what. One of the big scenes in the movie is them bragging about their business cards. When Patrick Bateman then later kills the man who had the best card none of his co-workers mentioned that he's gone and at the end of the movie when he admits to The killing to his lawyer the lawyer simply goes "what phone call". Another clue is the maid that's cleaning the spare apartment where Patrick Bateman is keeping the extra bodies and she doesn't say anything even though she's obviously cleaning the room that he was storing the bodies in.

The thing is one of my favorite movies. Prob favorite horror movie just because how low budget but effective it was. It's just a scary concept and it lends itself to do many different forms of Media. It could be a book, a movie, a show and it'd all work great if done right. I feel like it was just a scary thought to make the thing you fear other people and the alien in one. Ads a extra layer to it that makes it so special

American Psycho is the funniest film I've ever seen; the first 5 times or so, I LMAO throughout.It's a singular movie, in it's own category.
Melancholia gets across the concept of loss and despair almost too effectively; not a fun watch.Like psychological torture porn.
Horror at it's best is about the most significant questions of life; at it's mediocre, typical, worst, it is just more static pollution.I despise Slasher and torture horror almost as much as I do Rom Coms.

I went to see the movie the witch when it came out I was like nine I’m pretty sure which is funny because the scene where she’s breast-feeding the baby she’s hallucinating and it ends up being a crow pecking off her nipple me my sister and her friend all started laughing and the people in front of us were going to yell at us and they saw we were children watching the movie and just did not say a thing pretty good movie though

that was a great movie up until like the last 15 mintues.. and it just felt like it didnt know what it was trying to be... it should have been longer and less of a rushed last half of the story

@@Slawsers I dont like jump scares neither.. it's not an opinion tho its fact, the story was rushed and there were plenty of instances where the movie took turns that didnt suit what led up to it... the build up was quite dull too as it was very predictable.. that shows too with the way they kept changing direction.. as I said it was a great movie but they made a lot of poor decisions

If it is then what I meant by predictable was not the whole thing was predictable from parts a-z.. but parts a-e were predictable, then a sudden switch up you dont expect and then its predictable again until the next major switch up.. alot of them major switchups just didnt really sit in with the story or flow in anyway.. as I said it should have been longer.. if theyd developed the second half of the story more it would have been a much much better movie.. right opinions aside , and I'll agree most of what I'm saying is just opinions but you gotta agree the second half had nothing on the first half when it came to pacing, story telling and subtleties.. actually the last quarter vs the first 3 quarters would be more fitting

Its so funny as soon as kyle was talking about something where the premise alone was so fucked up etc... I knew what he was talking about. I went outside to smoke a blunt and came back in and my friends were just like "yo sit down we're watching this" and that was all the introduction I got. Needless to say I was pissed and like Kyle my evening was ruined.
