BRIDGET! I LOVE the idea of having the numbered tabs at the top of the notebooks! So smart! It makes it much easier for the students to find their notebook.

When you were saying Book Talk, I thought you meant Book Tok (like a Tic Tok but about their book they read). LOL! It wasn't until you showed the paper that I realized. I like your grading system. I had an inbox with a folder. Students turned in assignments in right pocket of folder (with two pockets). I graded assignment (after school or at home) and put grades in online gradebook. Then I put the graded assignments in left pocket. If I had questions or no name or something, the paper remained in the right pocket with sticky note indicating the problem/question. Once I was in classroom, I took all graded papers and put them in outbox for returning to students while they did some sort of warm up or were busy at seats. (I taught high school). Each class had their own folder and in/out box. This simple system always worked and I can say I never lost an assignment during my 28 years.

There are so many things you mentioned that I love and want to use with my students next Monday once we get back from our thanksgiving break. I really love the reflection journals, the organizing system and the book talk. I’ll need to try it with my 3rd graders. I a:hoping the book talk will motivate them more to read because that’s a struggle I have been facing with some students and getting them to read at their level and not books that are way to difficult for some because they are not there yet and only pretendin to read the book.

This is a great video. Would love to see more. I’m going to try the reflection journals at the end of the day. Do kids take home the agendas or keep at school? We have school provided agendas but several of my third graders have lost theirs.

I bought the "panda planner" to do a better job of incorporating reflection journaling into my planning process.

Love the video. A few years ago I discovered composition notebooks that had graph paper in them. I bought them at Walmart on clearance for 10¢ each.
I like the idea of numbering students. I had a teacher in high school who required us to include our number in our heading. Jesse Chappell 3B - 18,
Date, class name under that assignment information she stored our completed work in individual hanging folders that were on a cart.
I worked hard teaching my students, if you can't hand your paper to someone else and them be able to tell what it is and what to do with it how can I? I have 150 of you.

Hey! Can you share where you got your class lights that hang from? And how did you hang them? My current class has no windows and I’m looking to add more light!

Did you ever figure out what the brand was for your velcro Stars? I've had some before, but I think it was a cheap brand, and the kids were able to pull them up

Hi! I’m starting student teaching in the spring and just signed a teaching contract for Fall 2020 (SO EXCITED). That being said, I’m starting to gather materials for teaching and I LOVE the file systems on your desk. Where did you get them so I can go out and by a couple for my future space!
