- In this video I am sharing my morning "get ready with me" work routine. I take you through my everyday routine of waking up, including times, getting dressed, and my routines once I get into the classroom. I feel like it is important to have routines and even checklists that will help you stay focused and accomplish as much as possible before the day actually begins. I hope y'all find this useful and gives you a better idea of how I get my work week days started!

It’s 2022, but I still find your morning routine motivating 🤎
Thank you for sharing your morning routine with us. It’s is really calm and organised, whereas i am so lazy and keep thinking one more minute in bed. Then rush around last minute and go to school in a hurry and be like a blueass fly and try to get everything thing done. I think I need to be more focused like you and have a more relaxed morning. Bye.
+Shazana Ali - Hussain I have to have a relaxed morning. If I feel rushed or don’t have a routine then I am stressed. This helps me to keep my start calm.

Thank you for sharing! I am also a teacher that leaves a clutter trail behind me through out the day. It never fails! :) I use google keep for my afternoon and morning lists. I have a daily list that I check off items but my am and pm list are there just to remind me to do those things in the morning and before I leave each day.

I love the idea of your daily plan on your iPad. I would like to do this but only use a school iPad, and these are always in use for the students. I suppose I could put it on my laptop on a powerpoint page and have a weekly one set up. Great idea, but I always use paper as its handy. I also love the paper flowers that are on display above your door.

That was a fun morning routine! I have taken the advise of wrapping my hair in a tee shirt instead of a towel and it seems to be helping with my frizzy and brittle hair. Maybe it would help you?

Hello from California! What a neat idea for a video. It really is the little things that make the biggest difference. A few weeks ago I had asked if you could show us some of your teaching. I was thinking about that, and I don’t think I was specific at all. I had just watched one of your videos where you discuss ‘guiding them to the answer you want’ like in your K video about the tubs, etc. I think I hear that a lot, but I don’t know how to do that. Maybe this is more of a ‘beginning of the year’ topic, I don’t know. Have a great week!

Loved watching your morning routine and the ipad checklist is AWESOME!!!!
Try setting your face right after you do your concealer. It’ll help the concealer and foundation last longer as well as keeping oils at bay, giving a fuller coverage, keep from creasing, and it’ll make your bronzer and highlight blend easier. ☺️

We have to be at school at 7:15. , Classes start at 7:25. Sometimes I have dutty and I have to be there at 6:50. I going to try some of your tips to speed my mornings! :p
My morning routine is the opposite. Get up, throw self in shower, coffee, throw on clothes: Potter round the house and arrive at school at 8.30.Our school hours are 9-3 and then stay late till 6.30 most nights.

I am the same re my carpark, there is a certain staff member if he gets there before me, takes it, just to have a bit of fun, we laugh.

I listen to the haunted podcasts too. I was born and raised in Atchison,Kansas the most haunted town in Kansas. It's also Amelia Earhart the famous pilot's hometown and is home to the Atchison,Topeka and Santa Fe railroad. Check out the tv show A Haunting the episode is called Sallie's house on youtube it's about the most famous ghost in Atchison.
Now that I've finished watching the video....I am super jealous that you don't have to get kids ready in the morning. I would have never been able to film a get ready video. My entire house, excluding the smallest baby is usually running around trying to get out of the door on time. Your routine is so relaxed. Lolol
+Schooling Life 😅 I am very lucky. I do miss seeing them in the mornings but I usually have a quick phone call with them or a FaceTime video before they leave to go to school.

The classroom is massive! Is that typical of American classrooms or just your school?
It seems pretty standard from what I can see. Some rooms don't have as much built in storage as this one seems to have, and it looks like she may have a smaller class size as far a number of students? But there a wide variety of classroom sizes...just depends on where you teach and what grade.
How did you make the checklist on your iPad?
Girl, I have to LEAVE my house by 6am! We have students in the building at 6:50 And school starts at 7:10!

+Jessie Madanat no they aren’t. I am very thankful that my husband had such a flexible work schedule. Blaine and Ian don’t have to get up until 7:30-8:00 and we prefer to let them sleep in. I’m out the door pretty early and it seems pointless to have them up so early. So, Trent takes care of the boys in the morning and I have take care of them in the evenings.

Yes. We have two children. Ian is 13 (12, I believe during this video) and pretty much gets himself ready in the mornings (Yay!!)
My husband, Trent, gets Blaine (5) ready after I have already left for school.
