I love the 43 folder system! I had to change it a tad this year to fit my needs, but I couldn’t function without it! Instead of dates I have grade levels for my folders.
Thank you for sharing your day. I haven't seen seen you kind share your day like this in a while (perhaps I've just missed those uploads) but thank you for all the ideas and resources. You are amazing. I've stepped out of the classroom for this year but plan to return next school year so I'm getting ready and am excited!
You are most welcome! Well, I haven’t uploaded in quite some time. I was battling all forms of illnesses for a good two months and then didn’t see the point of posting videos in December. Figured I would take that off and focus on family and finishing up my book. That’s so exciting! Hope the transition goes well. Stay in touch!
Thanks for such a helpful video, Bridget! I especially loved your tips for planning ahead for small group reading lessons, color coding the texts, and using the plastic supply kits. I am also a big fan of Reading A-Z. They have such a wide variety of resources, levels, and activities. I hope you have an amazing week ahead! 📖
Mandy!!!!! Reading A-Z is the absolute best, right!? I bought my own subscription this year to help support my kiddos at the new school. It’s really helped a ton. So glad you enjoyed all the little tips. These are the things that help get me through my day 😂 hope you’ve been well!
My 43 folder system lives in a file box under my desk. I make my copies and they go straight to the folders. It helps so much when planning by units instead of week by week. Thank you for sharing!
I absolutely LOVE the Google Tab suggestion and I want to implement that in my classroom. I am also going to implement the Expo Marker system because my kids keep losing their markers and erasers, so it is time for a new system. I am tutoring students after school this semester, and you have given me some ideas on how to revamp my rolling cart to make it more efficient for while I am working with students.
@TheLetteredClassroom, Miss Bridget 😊 Do you keep materials for multiple sections together or separate? How would multiple preps look in your 43-Folder System? I’m looking forward to getting organized 21 years into the game and wanting to stay in the classroom for still more years.
17:13 Can anyone please share the exact brand item info for the plastic organizer she uses for small groups? I have looked at Michael’s in person and online and cannot find the 10 compartment one. @theletteredclassroom
I loved your idea about using Astrobright paper to organize small group materials. I will definitely use that tip!! Thank you 😊
I love using the Astrobright coloured paper to organize your guided reading groups. I love that.

Love the anchor chart binder ❤

Love the Ikea Raskog cart for my reading group storage as well. ❤ Great ideas. Thanks for sharing.

I love that tip about the markers! I also had to take ours up and keep them somewhere until needed.

I got the idea of the 43 folder system from you from one of your previous videos a few years ago. Mine lives in my filing cabinet and it works great!

So glad you back to making videos again. I’ve been enjoying them these past few weeks! I will def try the 43 folder method
No judgement on the Harry Potter love. My room also reflects my love of Harry Potter!
Do you have a small group kit for each child in the group?
I like the Vocabulary anchor chart. Where can I get a copy?
