@@JS_Adventure 🍺🍺👍🏻
God you both would’ve been stressed to the max I feel so so sorry for you two.
Can’t believe that caravan repair place didn’t fix it properly in the first place.
Roof top tent looks awesome. Try an egg shell topper on the mattress.
I wish some company’s could get on board with you both as you always give great reviews on the places you are stopping at.
Hanging out on the next episode to see what is going on.
Hang in there Sorcha & Jack. 👍👍
Cheers mate!! 🍻🍻 We’re still smiling and cracking on! We’ve picked up a mattress topper from Kmart for $40 and it’s transformed the bed now!
Hey guys been watching all your videos took me a while but I got there. Awesome videos love watching them. Sorry with what happened with your van . 👍🤙🍻🍷
Cheers mate!! 🍻🍻
Chin up guys, still loving your work 👍👍👍👍
Cheers mate!! 🍻 We’re back on track and still smiling! 😎😎
Hi Guys. We are feeling for you. It's amazing 👏 that you are still smiling 😃
So good to see you have been blessed 🙌 by people helping you. 🙏 Keep smiling 😃 😊
Cheers mate!! 🍻🍻 there’s been an overwhelming amount of support and we’re still just cruising along smiling! 😎😎
Guys, adversity makes you stronger and always contributes to good stories years later!
Certainly does! We’ll look back at this and have a good laugh! 🍻🍻
Just a heads up guys. Be mindful the Prado’s roof limit is 100kg however if your going off-road the rating changes. You can only have a maximum of 66kg off-road . I’ve seen roof racks ripped from there mounts. Stay safe.
Cheers mate we’ve questioned Toyota about the roof rating after seeing a couple of different things on Facebook pages saying 150kg and they’ve confirmed with factory rails removed the maximum roof limit is 150kg and then with our backbone system rhino rack rate this as 116kg on and off road. With everything up there we’re sitting just under the limit
Great to see another pre face lift prado. I have the vx.
Cheers mate! 🍻🍻
Keep smiling guys it'll work it self out better days ahead 👍🍻
Cheers!! 🍻🍻 There certainly is!
You guys are absolutely legends
To see you stressed out and still do what you guys do it's bloody great
Heads up guys travel safe all the best 👍
Cheers guys!! 🍻🍻 You dont really see this side of travelling and it’s a real nightmare! But we’re looking good again and back on the road! 😎
So hard to watch this happen to two great people. 😪. The oven is the best. Yes, pre-heating is great and also pre-planning for meals. If you can cook you meals while you are driving it is great to get out and just sit down to the meal. (Great smells in the car as well). Great thinking about the roof top tent, at least it got you back out there. You don't know know how much you miss your story until it gets interrupted, great update on the dam and the conditions. Appreciate you trying to stick with the $1000 challenge, but really guy's, I think we understand what your going through and how it is affecting the challenge. Keep your spirits high, it's just a bump in your road and you will get through it. As always looking forward to the next one.
Cheers mate! 🍻 We’re loving the oven!! And everything’s starting to get back on track! Cheers for the support mate! 😎
Can't say anymore than what's already been said.
You guys are great. The content is fantastic, packed full of info. Good on you getting the mattress topper, they're definitely a game changer for those hard caravan mattresses. Keep smiling 💜💜💜
Cheers!! 🥂🥂 Huge game changer!
Well the border is opening up soon so i need be you can do a bolt home after 3 March. Recharge Recoup.
Hey guy's,top vid we feel for you but life is full of up's n down's.At least you are smiling about.Thanks...😎
Cheers mate!! 🍻🍻 Just a bump in the road!
Hi guys hopeing you’re luck will turn around quickly put you back on track love how you are thinking out side the box with the roof top tent great idea keep your chins up 🤗🤗🤗
Cheers!! 🥂 Everything’s starting to look good again! 😎😎
We could feel your disappointment, so very sorry. You both are tougher than you realise. We wish you a satisfactory outcome. We hope you were able to rectify the issue with the repairer. We were impressed with the rooftop tent. Good luck guys, just going over to grab a couple of your t shirts! ❤🇦🇺🦘
Cheers! 🍻 just a hiccup in our travels! And we’re back on track now! Thanks so much for the support!! 😎
Hi Guys feeling for you 😍😍😍 the episode is still great you're still smiling and these things are meant to test us, you are passing with flying colours 💗💗💗 have a great week
Cheers!! 🥂🥂 Yep still smiling as it’s just a bump in the road!! 😎
Sorry to hear what’s happening. Feeling your pain here. Keep up the great vids guys. 👍🏻
Cheers mate!!🍻🍻
Feel ya pain guys hang in there , all part of the journey. Real life stuff cheers from two West Aussies in Saudi Arabia
Cheers guys!! 🍻 Just a bump in the road and we’re still smiling! 😎 We hope everything’s well in Saudi Arabia! Would love to get back over there!
if you plan using that 12v oven for a lot of cooking you better get more power for it. if you pull up for a bit with it on and leave it running and don't have the power it will kill your battery. i killed a 105ah while i went to a butchers and a bread shop. it had to be replaced
Cheers mate! It’s running off 100ah lithium so plenty of power for it but we will be upgrading that soon!
So frustrating with the pop top. I have one myself and dread that happening. Looks like you are looking forward though and getting through it. You can have a good laugh about it one day lol
Cheers mate!! 🍻🍻 Certainly will one day!
Hey guys despite how stressed u guys would be good to see your trying to take it all in day by day and there always will be a positive amongst all the negatives 😊 this is just a slight curve in the straight line of your plans 😉😉
Cheers mate!! 🍺🍺 Were still out and about and loving it! A curve always straightens out! 😃
Borders are open have a nice holiday in Bali .l
🤣🤣
A couple of things to consider
Unless you are going remote, just 1/2 fill your tank (save carting more weight than you need to)
Buy a mattress topper for the roof top tent, they are cheap and make a huge difference
Good to see both of you keeping your chin up under challenging circumstances, well done👍👍
Cheers mate! 🍻🍻 We’ve grabbed a $40 mattress protector and it’s a game changer!! Unfortunately we’re heading pretty remote at the moment but the fuel consumption is doing really good! Cheers for the support mate!! 🍻
Moreton island would have been a good place to try out the tent and fill in time until the van was ready
G'day Guys, go to Big W , Target, K mart and get an egg shell topper, they are awesome for a hard mattress, We used them in our RTT and made a world of difference for comfort, even use them in our van now. Travel ovens are the best thing since sliced bread, Coles, Woollies, Aldi always have cheep roast's like ribs, shanks ect and take like a good hour on high to heat up, pies are awesome with chips, oh the list goes on, mouth is watering now. Keep the great stuff coming 🍺🍺🍺🍺
Cheers mate!! 🍻🍻 We grabbed a mattress topper from Kmart for $40 and it’s transformed this bed now!! Always wanted a travel oven and I’m kicking myself we didn’t get one sooner! I think we’ve used it everyday so far breakfast and dinner! 🤣
Scrap the $1000 for February and start again in March 👍
We’ll stick it out and see how far we go over budget 🤣 but I don’t think we’ll be doing it again until next year! 🍺🍺
I’m so sorry to hear that your van issue isn’t fixed. Nothing worse than a hard uncomfortable mattress. Maybe you could buy a mattress topper, it’s makes a lot of difference. I wish I could give you both a hug. Thinking of you.
Cheers sue!! 🥂 We’ve grabbed a mattress topper from Kmart for $40 and it’s transformed this little tent!! 😎
Oh that’s good. I hope you both have a lovely sleep . Good night 😘
very interesting! how is the cars stability with the extra weight on the roof now ?? maybe a decrease in fuel economy ? definitely try and make a bracket or something so u can keep your water pipe system !! and the awning you have .. well it looks very fancy !
get that solar panel cable extended so that it can be connected with the tent up !
1hr long videos are good haha DW about ur consistency ..
Cheers mate!! 🍻🍻 long videos just become a real pain to edit with but we’ll see how we go! We’ve planned a fair bit of work to the car in the near future so just really waiting until then to get the solar and water sorted out, as for the awning hopefully we’ll be going to a 270 free standing awning soonish but that’s about all of the roof capacity gone then! Fuel has been alright so far sitting on about a litre less!
You legend. What made you get that roof top tent? You planning get a rear with four Jerry can, fold down table and maxtrax holder? This would reduce the load and space up inside the car
Cheers mate!! 🍻🍻 I was planning a motop in the future mainly for weight reasons and price wise, (motop were one of the cheapest clamshells) but as we had to bring everything forward i just couldn’t get one in time. Reading a bit on the rooftop tent Facebook page these had really good reviews and allowed storing of all bedding in them with a bit more space than a clamshell and also came in a lot cheaper!
Eventually we’ll be spending a bit more on the car and decking it out a bit more!
@@JS_Adventure u consider drifta rooftop tent? U planning extreme 4x4? I made few mistake with my setup. If I had to deck out my wagon I would done the mods different. Few regrets. I happy with my sleeping quarter inside my wagon. You can contact me on Facebook if you like
Was after a clamshell rooftop but really only came down to what was in stock and price wise that day! Not so much extreme 4x4 but off-road touring heavy! And we travel fully loaded with gear as we’re essentially living in it with all our caravan gear
