  • This was a prime time adult animated show from my childhood. It's so cool to be able to do a restore on this because it feels like I'm giving back to childhood friends lol. A very special thanks goes to The Rare Animation Network / honestwolf for uploading the original files. I'll be posting the entire series
New digitally remastered cartoons are uploaded frequently.

Then saw fantastic planet, lightyears aka gandahar, galaxy express etc on video at age six and saw Roger Rabbit three times in theaters at Omaha theaters. And I remember amazing stories had that family dog short episode and Simpsons shorts even when Simpsons debuted. I also saw aeon flux shorts and liquid television at age nine. Then this show at age ten even rented Bebes kids, cool world, robot carnival, Pink Floyd the wall , castle of cogliostro etc on video and at age eleven I watched and taped beavis and butthead episodes and saw mask of the phantasm in Albuquerque theaters at that age even saw heavy metal on Cinemax with Hey Good Lookin, American pop and vampire hunter D on Cinemax etc all introduced me to adult animation

I did had early exposure to adult animation when i was 4 with Rock and Rule, Starchaser Legend of Orin and Warriors of the Wind aka butchered Nausicaa and twice upon a time and my parents taped me those movies off HBO in 86 even saw Transformers The movie in theaters when i lived in St Louis with my brothers. And when i was 5 i watched Wizards, Lord of the Rings 1978, Fire and Ice and Watership Down with my 12 year old and 15 year old big brothers even saw Family Dog episode on Amazing Stories and Simpsons on Tracy Ullman. Then i saw Fantastic Planet when i was 6 on video then saw Simpsons at age 7 when it debuted on Fox as a Christmas special. Then i was 9 when i saw Plague Dogs on video and MTV's Liquid TV with Aeon Flux shows then i was turning 10 when i saw this show even Fish Police.
Then at 11 i discovered Heavy Metal, American Pop and Hey Good Looking on Cinemax thanks to the city paper saturday tv guide weekly thing and loved them even taped HGL and rented Vampire Hunter D as i became a fan of adulr animation and all showed me it's not just kids stuff. Same for when i saw The Critic, Duckman, The Maxx and The Head on MTV when i was 12 even rented Akira then at 13 saw Aeon Flux (taped epiosdes) the series even rented Fist of the North Star then at 14 saw Ninja Scroll, Wicked City, and more even taped every episode of Spawn at 15/16/17, rented Fritz the Cat at 17 and more.
And they all predated Bojack Horseman, Archer, Love Death and Robots, and more of today's great adult animation.

when I moved in 91 and the new home we are at still here here the channel capitol critters came on was absolutely too staticy for anyone but still watched it hehe sometimes would lose the channel altogether but yes im a fan too of the Disney afternoon and cc as well chip n dale rescue rangers always n forever and talespin too I didn't know it was niel Patrick harris til 16 yeas ago when I went online for the first time but since digital came in and got rid of most analog couldn't ever get anything even after 500 bucks of boxes special addons and antennas for digital so we took them all back and got directv instead much clearer yes but every no n then I get that nostalgic feeling and want analog again.

Really wish they'd give this show a proper home video release. Even if it's just a bare bones DVD-R release like what you get from Warner Archive that'd still be better than nothing at all.

I might be able to get one crowd funded, but I need to find out who owns Capitol Critters first. I think it was owned by a corporation that went under or dissolved a few years ago. So this makes it an orphan work now, which is difficult to track down the copyright owners. :( A few years ago, a copyright owner was actually getting RUclips ad revenue from these videos, but now there is no copyright owner showing up in my RUclips creator studio.

There were so many adult animated sitcoms back then. I think they might have just seen it as a fad that they were trying to cash in with. If CC aired during the same time slot as the Simpsons, then yeah, it would have been pretty balls-y of the network lol.
