Trevor is the most original and innovative coach working today. No one else comes up with so many new stations / drill / ways of thinking about the swing. I get pumped whenever I see him on the thumbnail.
Hi Eric. More coaches are becoming obsessed with shallowing the club and I have started to watch and copy Fred Couples swing which is far easier and smoother. Hope you can make a video on this and share your thoughts. Much appreciated Coach.
You have one serious problem with this. Many of us, particularly older players, can't do the bending your approach requires in the downswing. A single plane swing takes care of all the problems you are trying to fix without requiring the ability to turn your back into a pretzel. It automatically creates the space for your trail elbow by setting up farther from the ball. Then, it takes away all the back destroying positions with a biomechanically simple swing. Amateurs fail for several of the reasons you mention (hips in the backswing, in particular), but simply cannot execute most of what you are asking.
I say right on! I'm trying to keep a flat left wrist throughout the swing. If not it goes way right. Right now I am setting my wrist almost immediately by motorcycle revving and keeping it there throughout the swing. It feels way weird. Sometimes Biggg hook when club is out of sink with chest.
Can u not just bow ur wrist and close the face? By the fact ur trying to hit it with a flat wrist makes me think u naturally cup ur wrist and have an open face
Eric, what if you’re coming to far in to out? I’m seeing 10° in to out with my wedges on GCQ. A lot of fat and inconsistent shots. Both face to target and face to path are closed. Thanks.
Then I would do the opposite of this :) You want to put something between you and the ball that you have to swing OUTSIDE of to the ball OR something in front of you that you have to swing left of More like these stations: ruclips.net/video/EmXw-YeD324/видео.html&pp=ygUaRXJpYyBDb2dvcm5vIGhvb2sgb24gcGxhbmU%3D ruclips.net/video/BKrxVvyp0_A/видео.html&pp=ygUaRXJpYyBDb2dvcm5vIGhvb2sgb24gcGxhbmU%3D Or this one in front: ruclips.net/video/HMWq-WZR-0k/видео.html&pp=ygUQRXJpYyBDb2dvcm5vIDQ1Kg%3D%3D or a big box like this outside the ball should help as well: ruclips.net/video/MsqDizk8ny4/видео.html&pp=ygUgRXJpYyBDb2dvcm5vIG9uIHBsYW5lIGFkYW0gc2NvdHQ%3D Thats all for the club....for the body make sure you have more body rotation and less slide/tilt. I could fix that in 10 minutes in person if you can make it down here
I like Eric's drill with the alignment stick placed horizontally in a large bucket directly behind the ball. I find this visual less intimidating with the driver.
It could! I like that one TML mentions as well for driver this one: ruclips.net/video/uUSLNi4OSBU/видео.html&pp=ygUbRXJpYyBDb2dvcm5vIGRyaXZlciB2cyBpcm9u

Another really good video Eric, and really pertinent to my game right now.

Hey Ted! Thanks for watching and the feedback!

If you have any issues send us your swing should be easy fix
Love this, is this same for driver and all other clubs as well?
Thanks! Yep same idea
If you cast, it’s near impossible to attack from the inside. I know this, but I can’t stop casting for some reason.
Hey Jordan!
If you don't get it sorted, send us your swings at CogornoGolf.com so we can analyze and build a plan to fix!

Or this one in front:
ruclips.net/video/HMWq-WZR-0k/видео.html&pp=ygUQRXJpYyBDb2dvcm5vIDQ1Kg%3D%3D
or a big box like this outside the ball should help as well:

Like the video... Can this drill with the alignment sticks be used with a driver?
For sure!
How far away should the alignment sticks be from the back of the ball?
end of stick right over top of ball
nice, but my issue is a divot that points to 1 o'clock (or 2 o'clock) and starts 2 inches behind the ball.
Make sure you rotate your body toward the target more (and have enough shift forward)
How do i set the sticks up for a driver?
Same idea/setup for driver here!
Does this drill station work with the driver??
