It's been too long since Deco-sama uploaded a Miku song, thank you 10th anniversary...
I’ve been in love with this song ever since its release!! It’s one of the only songs that’s gotten me pumped up in a while now… other than Sand Planet of course.
All the hardships of writing a vocaloid song… I think it's needless to say that it doesn’t matter what kind of vocaloid content creator you are, we all feel Miku’s fickle love at some point and sometimes it can drive us insane.
But like the title mentioned, our love for her and the ideas we have prove to be a SPARK unlike any other that just won't burn out… not that I want to anyway hehe.
Deco-sama chose to string together some motifs from several of his old songs to write this one! It's definitely ghost rule in the chorus and verses, rooter's song in the prechorus, and reversible campaign in the bridge! In the original lyrics there was also a reference in the "NOを空振った愛の中で" which was from Ghost Rule's "NO だって言う筈が キョドって YES を声に出す", but it was a little clunky in english so i chose to leave it out ;;

When this sing first came out, I was genuinely excited. The most excited I've been in a while to be honest. That genuine excitement just came back. This song has been in my head since it came out and I'm actually glad that it's back!! This is a lovely cover!

My interpretation: The singer is trapped in a severely toxic relationship that involves constant emotional manipulation and abuse from both sides. The singer seems to have masochistic tendencies; they intentionally provoke and/or manipulate their partner in order to get a negative or violent reaction out of them.
This is mainly due to two reasons: because they believe passion (or true "love") involves pain, and because they believe that acting as their partner's punching bag is the only way they'll get their uncaring partner to show emotion towards them. ("You try to break this wall to bits, instead it goes in for a kiss."--referring to the singer's partner.)
Deeply, the singer is damaged and tired of the self-inflicted pain, but they can't seem to break out of their relationship since part of them is euphoric and addicted to the "love" (abuse) they are showered with. The two sides are at constant conflict:
"Aa, I don't like this" (their rational side.)
"Surely, now you'll understand." (their irrational, unstable side speaking to their partner.)
"It's way too tough, I'll let go of this love now." (their rational side.)
"Make it painful, make it hurt me more." (their irrational, unstable side speaking to their partner.)
In the end, I think the singer chose to kill two birds with one stone: they somehow provoked their partner into shooting them in the head, causing the singer to experience one last bout of passion and pain, and allowing them to finally escape the toxic "love."
I may be far off, or I may just be pointing out the obvious, but that's my interpretation :3

My theory is different it's less dark too. I was thinking that the relationship is fulfilling a little too fulfilling . Because of this nothing else is experienced. It's a boring cliched story. It's too "fun" if that makes sense. When she protest "You'll paint your face with tears". The relationship is lukewarm it's not enough for her she's needs him to make her feel something. She needs confirmation to make sure she's not going crazy in their relationship. I guess it got a little burdening for her since she's the only one who feels this way. "It's way too tough" Her significant other doesn't seem to notice ("like you'd ever get that") and she can't bring herself to tell him. She's stuck in this love and it's incomplete.
I feel like I have more to add but for now this is what I have. If I have more I'll edit it! I hope this made sense lol I didn't know how to word it T^T
To me it feels like the song is about an FPS player who's having an absurd amount of fun battling it out with another player on the opposing team, trading kills with them and having a blast, and so despite never seeing the person on the other side of the screen she is falling in love with them. She knows it's weird and it's crazy, so is pleading for the opponent to 'make it hurt more' (like, teabagging and other BM) so it'll feel more like any other battle, like they're just another online chump so she won't have to accept these feelings. But at the same time, the side of her that wants to believe is also asking them to surprise her or make her melt so she CAN accept her feelings.
It's such a fun song because the singer is full of energy, having such a good time shooting it out with this mystery opponent. At least, that's how I see it.

This was like 5 years ago but here’s my interpretation:
It’s about someone who’s being abused by someone they love deeply. Someone they built a relationship with. It started off sweet, but it became toxic. They are so stuck on the love that was shown to them in the past that they can’t let it go. They can’t believe that person wasn’t real. They try to stop loving that person, but they can’t. Not when they still believe that this could end and they could be back to how they used to be. No matter how hard they try to stop, they keep thinking of ways their loved ones actions could be justified. They start to wish that their loved one would do something so horrible to them that they can finally get it through their head. So they can finally stop forgiving them. So they can finally let go of them. But it won’t happen. They know that no matter what happens, they will always think of reasons to justify their loved one’s actions even when they’re trying not to. It’s just this endless loop of loving, hating, and forgiving.

I love your interpretation/fitting of the translated lyrics, both the lyrics and your singing for this actual cover capture the feeling I think this song is trying to go for incredibly well. The one-sided love, anticipating something and just wishing it would happen, begging for it to happen so it can at least be over... creating anything is hard, depending on how its taken or the response to it you might feel like it was pointless or your efforts didn't reach, or your efforts aren't being accurately attributed to you.
DECO*27 has produced some amazing songs and definitely utilizes Miku/Vocaloid in some incredible ways, and I love the voice you bring to DECO*27's and other's songs through your covers, both through the actual cover itself and what the song means to you in the description.
These lyrics are so good it reminds me of Reversible Campaign.
