Great explanation. Understanding the proper sequencing and how it gets you to that desired low point is extremely challenging. Looking forward to using these tips. 👍
Hi Lewis, I just wanted to say that I really like the way you explain everything. Your swing looks so smooth and natural that I'm trying to copy it as a 19hcp. The slow and easy explanation makes it easy for me to understand everything. Unfortunately my driving range is closed due to the weather, but I'm sure this video will help me in the next days. Thank you so much!
This video is brilliant, as I am still struggling with my striking/divot taking after the ball. This will be coming with me into the back garden and driving range. Thank you Lewis, keep the great content coming and good to see you have one of the silkiest swings on RUclips, with your good friend Peter Finch 👌
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and there is going to be one video a week unless I can get more out. But I'm going for quality not quantity! I hope the drill makes a difference 👊
quick update for you@@lewissparrowgolf... been down the range a couple of times with this drill and is already making a big difference. Just grinding it in now, making muscle memories to then take on the course and get the HCP down. Thank you again and keep the excellent content coming 👍🤝👊
Great drill & swing thoughts for compression! How do you minimize the tendency of pushing hosel closer to ball while trying to add pressure (down) to the handle on the downswing? Thanks!
Lewis! I always enjoy your videos! I have been able to control irons very well and hit them great along with hybrid and 3 wood. Usually a little baby cut with them. With the driver I seem to hit it left and high on the face. Any idea what would cause that?
It's great to hear you enjoy the videos! There could be a few reasons, but my instinct is saying and over shut face with too much of a descending angle of attack. With the driver that can often move the contact point high on the face. It is guessing without seeing it though of course!
Glad you enjoyed it! It can definitely help a left miss. If the AoA is too shallow, it gives the face too much chance to swing shut. Hitting more down tends to help hit the ball a bit earlier so the face can be more open. Does that make sense?
I have a hard time understanding when you say "put pressure down" when gravity is wanting to pull the head down anyway. Wouldn't you actually holding the club up so it doesn't hit the ground sooner? Confused.
Great question. If you get into a set up with a normal grip and hoover the club parallel to the floor as if it was in a takeaway position. You will feel the butt of the club pressing against the pad of the left hand as it wants to rise and the clubhead wants to descend. This is the downwards pressure onto the grip that I am describing. If you weren’t, the club would descend too early. As the hand path starts to work up, the club then works into the back of the ball 👍

I’m glad you like it and i hope it helps - a new video is coming soon 🙌

I need this drill, but I had best stock up on some alignment sticks before trying it 😂
They will be well worth the investment 🤣

any tips on helping getting the hips through on the down swing?
This is a tricky one to give quick tips for as the hips might not be moving for a tonne of different reasons. Where is the ball going for a start?
Best swing on RUclips by a country mile! Are you still coaching on Skillest?
I will take that! Yes sir still taking lessons on Skillest 👍
Great video, going to try this for sure as my attack angle is not great. Did you say this would affect ball fight if you tend to pull your shots ?
