Zero Turn mower suspension seat

- Since having a zero turn mower for about a year, I was tired of feeling beat up after mowing with it. I found a suspension seat on the internet that would fit a Ferris Zero Turn. It is a simple suspension seat, not one with an internal bladder, it turns out it is relatively simple to install. It is amazing that all the bolt holes lined up perfectly. Took about an hour and I compressed it down for easy watching.
Ordered one for my toro 60” I noticed on the new ones they have isolators on the seat mount......I’m gonna have to do some southern ingenuity, but gonna try that......it looks like it will raise the hight 3”....... thanks for posting..........love your shop.
Ive used shock rubbers and cut in half with steak knife. Every little bit adds up.
Adjust it higher and you left out the 3/4" to 1" spacers it needs to give you the full down travel. You're bottoming out on really rough stuff.
If you think you like it now, do those two things and then you'll love it.

So was it worth the expense and trouble? A little bit better or a lot? Considering one myself.
It was worth it for the price. I saw the same seat on a Ferris mower website for twice the price. It keeps the seat from hitting directly on the frame.
That knob you were turning slides out and when youre done slide it back in. Number 1 complaint raises seat too high!!! Absolutely best seat I didnt buy but should have was a takeoff from top dollar hustler. Nice wide seat plenty of arm room was $500 and already off. I sat in one on mower and best Ive ever been in.

The seat must now be higher. Did you get used to the seat being taller?
It does sit higher but it didn't take long to get accustomed to the height.
Realize this is a few years old, but do you have a name/model number/link for this seat mount? Surfed around seat-warehouse.com and can't find this item. Thanks!
I looked on the visible part of the seat and nothing found.

Great video. No offense but I think you adjusted it the wrong way. If you set it to the left, (as if loosening the handle) as you would for a lighter operator, it gives less impact absorption., Crank that bad boy to the right (as if tightening the handle) and it gets firmer but absorbs more impact for a bigger operator such as yourself. Setting it too light results in the suspension constantly bottoming out which is painful. I realize this is a 4 year old video but people still come here to view it so the comment is relevant. Just sayin.
Junk dt buy it wont help!!! Buy a air ride system well worth the money!!!!
