Great review!! I drive a G37 now, would love a GS but will probably lean more towards the ES with F Sport trim. However, this is the first crossover that has ever really grabbed my interest. Lexus did an impeccable job with the design. Thanks for showcasing this fantastic ride!
Just got one, and I must say the back of the vehicle is ugly to me....really not feeling the design, but besides that I think it's still a good purchase
Agree with you about the fog light & mesh! I have a GS F-Sport and the non-US models that have fog lights in those mesh areas really does a good job breaking it up. The US cars could use them!
First of all, cool review!! I like this car. It is compact but has enough space for everything and I would say that it is quieter without runlet tires and on smoother streets like here in Germany, I guess. But there are two things that I would maybe change. Some space in the back doors and some would options. But maybe the wood options could come later as a dealer option? But overall, it is good car. If you test the hybrid, would you please test the luxury line?
OMG…I just ordered mine…looks exactly like this one except my interior is all black…soooooo freaking EXCITED…thank you so much for doing this review…im already an Impatient person and ur review just made it worse 🤦🏻♀️🤣I have to wait 2 weeks for it to come but I’m sure it will be worth the wait…can you please answer this for me…when the car turns off…do the side mirrors turn in…looking forward to the answer…until then…thanks again for the review…stay SAFE and BLESSED 🙏🏽
I've been searching for one with integrated navigation and havent found a single one! Do u know why it if they scrapped navigation for apple car play, which is useless for me.
I think they are pushing non-nav models for the first batch. I haven't seen any navigation equipped UX's since pre-production models. They will have Nav models, but probably not until spring.
Lexus is investing largely into vehicles that can make them the most money. They believe the UX will be able to double or triple the sales of the both the GS and LS in 2019
My dealer in germany told me it sells not good..... a handful in a year and that in a big city. people dont get it what a great car this is. ok, its pricey due to EU tax it costs at minimum the same as german rivals....and i heard it also sells not so good in Britain. This segment is full of competitors too ...i dont know if this was smart for Lexus to go in this fight. Perhaps they better should do more special designs. Even the mothercompany has competition cars which are close but cheaper and with more space or more agile ...speaking about new CH-R and Corolla; both with same powerplant and chassis.
Kirk. I am a huge Toyota / Lexus enthusiast, I only buy their products, but one criticism, that may be you can help with, is US car configurations. They often leave options and don't even make them available, that are included in other countries, even in Canada. That's really stupid of Lexus. For example: I have a 2013 GS, which I bought brand new, and the power folding mirrors were NOT available for that car in the US, but available everywhere else in the world, including Canada, as a standard feature. Who is making the US options decisions and is that something you can influence up the chain?
I can't do anything about that unfortunately. Lexus thinks they know what's best for intended markets and they make the cars that way. I don't expect that ever to change.
When I took my car in for service last week they gave me a 2017 is200t I also sat in the NX I must say the newer gen Lexus fella so different compare to the last gens Not so much to my liking It's like you sitting on top of the car instead of in it Also doesn't free I as premium as the previous gens Both in the NX and is Feels very BMW like and small Not as airy and open as previous gen very compact I had a 07 is before the rx which is similar gen to my current rx and it also tells similar to my rx and not like the newer ones I guess it will take time to get used to this new stlye

@@KirkKreifels it felt really nice and zippy. I have an RX450 so it took me a little bit to get used to it. How early you think we'll start seeing the 250's start arriving? Thinking about waiting for that one.

@@Slargando85 1) Depends largely on your dealer location. I don't think we will get our first 250h until late January or early Feb. 2) HUD is a factory-only item. 3) Birch/Lapis is really cool! I haven't seen one in person yet, but I would love it with the right paint color.

I really like Lexus and I love the design of this car... but until Lexus really starts to compete with the others BMW, Audi, MB as far as powertrain goes I will not purchase one of there entry level vehicles...a decent 2.0 turbo that could at least keep up with the competition in a 0-60 this would be my choice of cars but with no turbo at least as a second or third option it’s just not appealing to me. Same thing with the CT200, was a great looking little Hatch but had no power.... I wonder if Lexus has ever considered taking the F-sport line and making it a real sports line for there cars like BMW has done with there M line and Audi there S line for there cars. Both of which give at least 60 -100 more horses for there cars.....if Lexus wants to be held in the same light as there competition then they need to start offering engines in there entry level vehicles that actually can compete. Not just giving them low powered engines and then justifying it by saying “well it’s a hybrid so it’s not supposed to be quick or powerful... Alf’s Romero offers a 280 horse power turbocharged engine in there entry level cars Lexus can at the very least give us 240-265
Yes this is where Lexus falters with their offerings: performance. They are trying hard to fix that image of a boring-old-people's vehicle. It will take time but they will get it right. Anyone can offer more performance, that's not the issue. The issue is maintaining elite levels of reliability while boosting performance. Lexus can't afford to reduce their best selling point, reliability, in pursuit of keeping up with the Joneses (audi, bmw, MBenz, etc).
LEXUriouS Kirk I hear what your saying ... but it’s not like they Don’t make 2.0 turbos already... but I do understand what your getting @..... @@Eli-kq7qt Thanks man! Merry Christmas and thanks for watching. As fans I think it's important for us to state our wishes. Because there's no reason they can't make a good product even better. Nick Karipidis every car breaks down at some point if that were true then Lexus would be the number one selling car. The real difference is what it will cost you when they do break down. Which Lexus does win that battle but as I said before they already produce more powerful engines then what they are offering in the ux, the is 300 offers a 2.0 255 horse power turbo so why not make that a third option for people who may want more power if it doesn’t sell the first year or two then just don’t offer it as an option anymore. End of story.....
