I got the C310 4K AI and the Angetube 4k AI. I did a side by side test and the Angetube beat the C310 in almost every aspect for the same $100 price range. Angetube outbeat in brightness, detail, focus, and color depth. The C310 had better exposure so your background lights don't bloom as much, that's it.
I have the camera too. I've noticed a couple of things I'm not too happy with: - often focuses. Even without moving or pointing it at a still background. Disabling auto-focus resolves it but it obviously is disappointing to disable stuff that have a purpose. - Video footage seems to flicker every now and then (I also notice it in your video). It's most likely auto-exposure kicking in and contstantly recalibrating but It could also be related to something else. To clarify: It's not the type of flicker you get when shutter speed matches the frequency of an AC (Alternating Current) lightsource. And yes, I also have updated its firmware. So both Auto-focus and Auto-exposure have some issues. It is up to the end user to use these settings and accepting their limitations, or to disable either but losing some of the expected functionality. I also wonder How the Facecam Pro fares in these areas, albeit its much higher cost. Maybe the OBSBOT Meet 2 or OBSBOT Tiny 2 Lite are interesting alternatives, albeit more expensive than the AnkerWork C310 (but a lot cheaper than the Facecam Pro).
Excellent and entertaining, as always. I needed a video camera when I bought a Mac Mini last year, and this is what I bought after doing a bit of poking around. I'm perfectly happy with it, and wouldn't even hesitate to use it for making videos for my own channel.
I own this camera, it's a pass unless you can get it for $20 or less. They are using a very old Sony sensor. I didn't notice you test 1080p 60fps? Image falls apart. This camera is super soft, increasing sharpness introduces issues. It also suffers from horrible image ghosting & motion blurr. Anyone thinking about buying this should just save up more money & buy the emeet s800 or obsbot tiny lite.
When you reduced the saturation at 8:56 and preferred the new picture, you should really go back to earlier shots from your main camera at, say, 1 minute in and compare. The Anker was similar to your main camera. I think you forgot how saturated you normally are.

@@chadontheroad1 when it comes to webcams absolutely. The better the lighting the better the webcam. The less you ask it to do with the smaller sensors, the better. Especially the more affordable webcams
It appears that webcams are really starting to be a viable option for not only usable but really decent video. From what I have seen so far, at this price point of $100, I believe I would tend to lean towards saving some more dollars and opting for the eMeet s800. That being said if the budget was really tight and this one could be bought for around the $80 mark one could definitely get usable content from it and like you said if they were to focus on the lighting and room ambiance it could look quite acceptable. Couple something like this with a decent budget mic and decent budget interface you got a budget winning combination all for a fraction of the cost of what it would have cost only a few years ago. Thanks for sharing.
here the problem with this camera ihas alot of stuttering with Ghosting i wouldnt use this in 4K but use it in 1080p at 60fps if the image is great and can knock off Noise and give you good blacks best use 1080p 60 and export it into 4k60 or 4k30 to get that smooth motion
i was a beta tester for this camera, i was amazed by the picture out the box... but, after some firmware, they made it less amazing because it would heat up on us LOL... after 4 firmware updates, it's pretty amazing... my favorite webcam TBH... i couldn't believe how much they priced it at, on the surveys i thought it was going to be at least 180 like the other ankerwork cams...

The slightest movement with autoexposure creates a bright flash as it tries to reset from the movement. The C310 is better at autoexposure, but the app makes dialing it in difficult. I’d probably pick the s800 if you was forced to choose

The New OBSBOT meet2 is only $125. Best value now when you factor video quality/4k image and the app all together

I'm on a budget. Should I get this or the c200? or do you have any other recommendations under $100?
If your only using Zoom or Facebook live, the C200 is great for 720p streaming, if your trying for RUclips and 1080p, the C310 is better 👍🏻
