This is nice but over my budget, do you have something similar but affordable for us that on fixed income can afford ? And what happed to your normal intro
@@judyrico7290 if you don’t have the budget for a webcam, I’d just say to stick with the built-in webcam on your computer. This is just if you want a better quality image during your calls
This is a promo video right. So not surprised no official intro. No a fan of the webcam. Don’t believe in changing something to be in trend I would stick to what has been working for you
Thanks for the review! I wasn't in the market for a webcam, considering I just ordered my third Sony ZV-1 a day or two before watching this video. After watching this and a few other reviews, I gout the Link 2 and tried it out tonight; so, so useful, especially the tracking. I also plan to use it as an overhead cam, but the clarity was surprisingly very good. Not yet sure if I can get the cam to do 4K24, but otherwise it's a keeper. Appreciate you showing it off!
@@MaxPowers1245 Maybe a long-term review; I'm pretty much stacked up right about now. Not gonna lie, it's impressive. If I have one quibble about it, when I move around, I wish the 4K video was a bit smoother and less noticeable, but not a dealbreaker. Tracking works surprisingly well, too.
@@Ryan_Chisholm Nice! It’s pretty slick. I like that software updates are already coming as well to make the audio quality better (even though I’ll never use the built-in mic)
I'd return it. Audio quality is not comparable to the price. A Microsoft LifeCam costs half the price and you get good video and decent audio for half (sometimes a quarter if you snag a good deal) the cost of this camera. The built-in mic on your Mac is better in every way.
Great video. Ironically I just watched another video on this camera, but do trust your review of it. Does it do the focus on you, like it did in your iPhone 16 live video, where it blurs the background slightly? Almost makes it look professional video quality. Need to know and find something that does this. Or maybe just the Link software doing that. Either way great review and video
Hey Brandon I know this is not the right video to talk about this but. I wanna say something about Apple intelligence, you know how the iPhone 16, Pro and Pro max has it. Does the iPhone 15, Pro and Pro max have it?
Why do all these reviews skip background replacement? I am curious if it can pan a replacement background when it moves, of it just stays static and breaks the illusion?
Yeah Apple’s latest Macs have solid voice isolation + the mics are closer to my mouth than the webcam so I figured it would be. I’m using my Link2 for the video quality alone.. big difference there
I gotta be honest I still do not feel a need to spend money on a webcam. My Macbook Air’s webcam is fine, it’s not like I need to see how many pores my skin has. Saving the money instead.
7:20 , Is it possible to use the new iphone mirroing feature to access your iphone on mac while the continuity camera is on ? because if it can then I am buying an old iphone instead of Link 2.
I wouldn't call the video quality “amazing”, in a vacuum, unless it's only related to other webcams. Considering you have a professional lighting setup, as a RUclipsr, it isn't overly impressive.
2:00 To be honest its not worth the upgrade, the macbook camera is insanely good. Low light, sure the insta is better, but I'm almost never in lowlight
This was literally the worst product and the worst customer service I’ve had in a long time. The promise of it was good but it just did not work cross platform. It worked sometimes with zoom, it didn’t really ever work with teams and trying to get Support to get it sorted out was hopeless so I sent it back
This is the first time in my life that I regret buying a product so much. I give online lessons via Zoom. I bought it purely for this purpose. However, I could not solve the audio and video synchronization problem. I did similar tests via Camtasia, but it did not improve. I did a lot of research before purchasing this camera. However, I think all RUclipsrs talking about this camera have prepared videos within the scope of sponsorship activities. If I had the opportunity to return it, I would return it without even thinking for a minute. I regret so much that I bought this camera.
You sticking with continuity camera or grabbing a Link 2?
Pick up the ultimate 4K AI webcam, the Insta360 Link 2/2C, here: bit.ly/BrandonButch-Link2
link 2 is very good

Wait…who was this again?? 👀
Let's go Brandon!
Who’s this guy? Where’s the intro? 😂

Finally. Now I won't look like a ghost when using my built-in Mac webcam 💀
Wow, I really like this! I need a webcam for my classes so I might just pick this up. Thanks for the review, man! Huge fan of your channel!!!!
It'll be great for that! Thanks, I appreciate the support!
I think I actually prefer the built-in mic on the Macbook, which is surprising
Not really surprising to me, given how much work Apple has put into their Mic systems. I don't see how anything can compete tbh
I'm definitely going to pick this up this looks great!
@@Ryan_Chisholm Nice! It’s pretty slick. I like that software updates are already coming as well to make the audio quality better (even though I’ll never use the built-in mic)
Hey Brandon 🙂
Would you personally prefer the Insta360 Link 2 or the OBSBot Tiny 2? And why?
I still have zero use for a dedicated webcam in my life but it’s still a awesome product
Ha. Yeah it’s pretty slick, esp in 4K. Had many ask what cam I was using

To be fair, I don’t think many people would use a webcam’s built-in mic regardless of how good it sounds. None will compete with a Mac
@@BrandonButch Have to remember though, there are people out there with PCs without built in mics, even Mac minis.

Thanks for that! Yes, everything in that iPhone 16 livestream was the Link 2C + the portrait mode built in to the Mac (in the menu bar).
Looks awesome! Will it work with an iPad Pro?
@@stev0071 yep, works on the iPad
The Mac definitely sounds better than the insta360, but camera quality, wow the insta360 is better.
wait this is awesome Brandon definitely would pick this up up you work in a workspace if you do a lot of video calls
Absolutely! I use it for all of my calls & YT streams
I use my iPhone alongside the Camo Studio software which gives you most (if not all) of these features and works with any webcam or smartphone.
How do you get that smooth cursor in your recording? Seems pretty unrealistic cursor movement like it’s an animation… but it’s really smooth.
To be honest, I liked more the MacBook audio and the video quality is almost the same but a bit better on the camera
Really? Video quality is infinitely better on the Link 2. But yeah for audio I prefer my studio mic 😂
I love my OBSBOT camera, looks similar to this
Haven’t tried them out yet!

Could you do a video of it in a pitch black room with just the monitor lights in front of you? Want to see if it works to put on my sim right
Looks like mic quality is bad. Macbook mic by far better!
@@opti2k4 I’ll be sticking with my other mics lol but using this for video quality 1000%
Can I use my Blue microphone? Do I have to use Elgato Camera Hub to do Zoom calls?
The audio didn’t sound great which is important for us Mac mini users.
@@TonyPadgett true! The MacBook’s audio is VERY good, though. So the mic quality will sound fine to anyone when not compared 1:1
1:21 It’s kinda misleading to call this a ✌🏻half inch✌🏻 sensor since this sensor is actually only about 0.3 inches diagonally.
They say it’s a 1/2 sensor on their site

Not supporting Windows Hello is a deal breaker for me. Once you get used to the automatic login you don't want to miss it.

webcams for macs are waste of money when you can get way more high quality feed from iphone continuity camera.
Watch more then 30 seconds of the video bud
