    I lived in Midwest for 2 decades and made so many times and family loves it. I like your recipe. I will try adding edamame and Mandrian oranges will give citrusy test. This salad is not much popular where live. Looking forward to see more recipe like this. By the way I am vegetarian so thumbs up!

    Never thought of putting fruit in it. All I've ever done is the noodles, seeds and cabbage mix, with sauce. Was one of my dads favorite salads.Some people don't think you can eat them raw. But you can and that salad is addictive. Its so good. I've never toasted anything when I've made this though. I'm surprised Vegans don't make this a lot. Because it pretty much is. Never added honey to it. Just a little sugar. I'd have to have the three packs. lol. It's even better the next day. The noodles soften up. Even though the crunch makes it. I bet those oranges would be yummy on it.

    What a great idea to measure the oil before the honey. It really did slide right out!!! Will be trying this one next week 😄 keep up the great work!

    I had an amazing salad at an art exhibit. I don't remember what was in it but I do know they had dried cranberries. I'm thinking I could take your basic recipe and add dried cranberries. Also, I think it may have had sunflower seeds. I think there is a lot of room for different possibilities. Thank you for this recipe.

    I don't have any rice vinegar but I have basalmic, I have olive oil, avocado and vegetable oil, which would be best? First time I tried the Asian ramen salad was from a deli at at Wisconsin supermarket, I NEVER heard of this salad in Southern CA where I am from, and they were potluck crazy at the hospital where I worked as a nurse. The only thing I would add to this salad as extra is water chestnuts like the deli Asian ramen salad I first tried.

      A good substitute for rice vinegar would be white vinegar, lemon juice, or lime juice.

    When you keep it in the fridge do you have the noodles+ in there or does it made it too soggy?

    • @WellPlated
      @WellPlated  5 лет назад +1

      If you know you won't be enjoying it right away, you can wait to add the noodles to keep them as crisp as possible.

  • @debludwig6302

    So much easier & less messy to break up the noodles while they’re still in the package

    Shoot we can’t use that edamame because my daughter is deathly allergic to soy protein thanks to years of nasty school lunches. Maybe pea pods instead? Yes I love the mandarin oranges!

    • @WellPlated
      @WellPlated  2 года назад

      Sorry to hear about that! I think pea pods could work. Yes, mandarins do add great fresh citrus flavor.

    This is hilarious. Does she not understand that ramen noodles have been fried before they were packaged in their 30c plastic. Sure, dump the flavor pack but that is just msg but the noodles are much worse for you. LOL
