Wonderful detailed video. Will definitely give it a try this weekend
I have made this several times...it is so delicious
Can’t wait to try this salad, Erin !! Looks delish.
I hope you love it Diane!!!
Absolutely stunningly freshest salad I have ever had. Tried it and loved by friends and family
I am so pleased to hear it, thanks for sharing!
This looks so easy and delicious! I'm making this today! Thank you. 😊 new subscriber❤
love this recipe, very nice
I Made it this way in the 70's dear! Some sesame oil and sesame seed, mandarins, basalmic vinegar
My Sister n law used to bring this to every potluck and that was many😊 I Love love love it 😀 I saved your recipe, Thankyou for Sharing it with is❤️
Most welcome 😊
Looks so good
Thank you!!
Looks so good!
It tastes good too!
Never thought of putting fruit in it. All I've ever done is the noodles, seeds and cabbage mix, with sauce. Was one of my dads favorite salads. Some people don't think you can eat them raw. But you can and that salad is addictive. Its so good. I've never toasted anything when I've made this though. I'm surprised Vegans don't make this a lot. Because it pretty much is. Never added honey to it. Just a little sugar. I'd have to have the three packs. lol. It's even better the next day. The noodles soften up. Even though the crunch makes it. I bet those oranges would be yummy on it.
So happy you enjoyed it!
Looks delicious!
It is!
Love it! Such a bright, crisp salad! I'm gonna toss in some grilled chicken and BAM! dinner is served! Great recipe, Erin!
So happy to hear it, thank you!!
I lived in Midwest for 2 decades and made so many times and family loves it. I like your recipe. I will try adding edamame and Mandrian oranges will give citrusy test. This salad is not much popular where live. Looking forward to see more recipe like this. By the way I am vegetarian so thumbs up!
Thank You
What a great idea to measure the oil before the honey. It really did slide right out!!! Will be trying this one next week 😄 keep up the great work!
I am so glad it was helpful!
I got my recipe living in the South by another military wife. Love this salad.
Thanks!
Hi, was looking at your trailer for your book preorder and was wondering if you have any IP recipes in it? Thanks Erin.
I absolutely do!
I had an amazing salad at an art exhibit. I don't remember what was in it but I do know they had dried cranberries. I'm thinking I could take your basic recipe and add dried cranberries. Also, I think it may have had sunflower seeds. I think there is a lot of room for different possibilities. Thank you for this recipe.
Sounds great!
Ramen used to put the original( basic) recipe on their packages. Don't know if they still do.
Use toasted sesame oil, garlic and ginger in the dressing - it will be even better!
Thanks for the tip Deb!
Peanut butter is a great ingredient to add into the dressing.
I don't have any rice vinegar but I have basalmic, I have olive oil, avocado and vegetable oil, which would be best? First time I tried the Asian ramen salad was from a deli at at Wisconsin supermarket, I NEVER heard of this salad in Southern CA where I am from, and they were potluck crazy at the hospital where I worked as a nurse. The only thing I would add to this salad as extra is water chestnuts like the deli Asian ramen salad I first tried.
A good substitute for rice vinegar would be white vinegar, lemon juice, or lime juice.
When you keep it in the fridge do you have the noodles+ in there or does it made it too soggy?
If you know you won't be enjoying it right away, you can wait to add the noodles to keep them as crisp as possible.
Did you use lemma bins ?
Looks nice. I didn’t know people actually put ramen in a salad, but why not?
It's surprising but sooooo tasty!
I had to subscribe to your channel when you said I like more vinegar than oil! Most chefs and cooks are too "oily" for me.
Thanks for that feedback!
I'm gonna make this salad but with rice noodles ..
I hope you enjoy it!
So much easier & less messy to break up the noodles while they’re still in the package
Wait why don’t you post anymore :(
We needed to take a break but I am back at it now, with a new recipe every week!
Would be great to have a printable recipe. Thanks.
Susan, you can find a full link with a printable in the comments section of the video.
There is one. If you click on the link she included, then scroll down the printable version is at the bottom :).
Shoot we can’t use that edamame because my daughter is deathly allergic to soy protein thanks to years of nasty school lunches. Maybe pea pods instead? Yes I love the mandarin oranges!
Sorry to hear about that! I think pea pods could work. Yes, mandarins do add great fresh citrus flavor.
I use napa cabbage in my recipe.
No sound
I made it today and wasn’t impressed! Something is missing? There are better recipes out there.
Add shredded chicken to make a meal.
she said 30 cent, you mean 10 cent
Use fresh noodles, find an asian grocery store
This is hilarious. Does she not understand that ramen noodles have been fried before they were packaged in their 30c plastic. Sure, dump the flavor pack but that is just msg but the noodles are much worse for you. LOL
Feel free to omit them if you like, but the salad won't have the same crunch!
There recipe is good but skip the theatrical presentation 😮
Idle talk to much
Looks good, but conversation too looooong!
