Dark,,,,and yet like a sapphire light sabre, etching into the unforgettable.....!,,,,,thank you Emma,,from this I went on to become a jazz guitarist!...
My signature perfume in the late 80's. I still keep it in my collection. Also, I used two others something similar: Tsar VC&A and in the mid 90's, Safari RL.
yves saint laurent jazz I remember it when I was in high school in the 90's. Great perfume. i had the black and white BOTTLE . the dry down is wonderful. you made me so happy .fantastic review.thanks MAN
My favourite of all time. I have an orignal 1988 plastic piano key bottle and 2 later release glass bottles from about 1996 still in it's original packaging. Love this scent so much and you described it perfectly. It really puts you in that mood to get dressed up and go to a low lit jazz club. Perfect scent.
Hey wow Chris, that intro was great man! On the 2 and the 4 right? Nice one- I love this juice , I love this house. Great review as always.I’m just out of the bath and Jazz is going on.Hope they never stop making it.
I had this one (YSL Jazz) when I was just 7 years old (1994), took it from my dad 😅. The scent is already locked in my brain no wonder all my perfumes today (2024) have that similar classic dna.❤
I ordered a vintage Kouros sample and got this instead. Ironically- the Jazz one is similar but far more beautiful and pleasant. It takes the Kouros honey jasmine musk vibe and makes it far more fresh grassy and modest. Sort of smells like a classy strong masculine drink that would be ordered in a New York Jazz club.
Hey great review Chris, second fragrance I purchased in 1990 after Kouros. Do you know how the original compares to the new edition YSL Jazz or Jazz Live? Cant seen to get the original juice anymore.
I've got multiple versions of M7 and Rive Gauche from YSL, but this one never really grabbed my attention for some reason. I've probably added it to my cart a dozen times over the years, but I never pulled the trigger. Still, if I find it for a good price....
Awesome review Chris! I remember smelling the newest version in store and immediately getting Drakkar Noir vibes. More refined for SURE, but to get a 9 year old give a wine cellar reference...awesome. 🤣
Totally on point Chris! JAZZ YSL is top 3 for me....had it in the 80s, stole it from my brother....remembering the thick green juice dripping from the bottle, it was a splash i guess.....just awesome! I still have some vintage plastic shellbottles, its an very deep emotional scent for me and i will always treasure it....vintage just rocks so hard, big differ between 1st and 2nd (the glass ) version imo, those 80s years were incredible and still miss it....flankers Live Jazz and Prestige are also nice...Prestige is an jewel but high prices......YSL 70-80-90s after that i dont care much...Opium and Pour Homme being also favs, especially the Concentration version.
@@huskussam Got you! I have Pour Homme from this line. The M7 cube is coming. Also, Jazz in a tall transparent bottle arrives. I'm excited! YSL has been my favorite perfume house since many many years! It all started with Opium pour Homme.
That floral section blends in nicely with the greens ... among my favorites from Yves Saint Laurent (the full name). 🤣😃😂 cool scatting in the intro, Chris!! 😎 Saludos desde Ecuador, - Ricardo
Wake up Saint Laurent! You are discontinuing the good ones like Rive Gauche and Opium pour Homme Parfum and just focused in releasing 100 boring flankers of La Nuit de L'Homme 😂😂😂
Yeah they're pushing Y and L'Homme/La Nuit hardcore and completely neglecting the classical perfumery masterpieces that they released in the 70s, 80s, 90s and early 00s. Releasing the La Collection was a step in the right direction, but they've already discontinued Pour Homme and Rive Gauche from that line. Gonna pick up a backup of Opium PH before they discontinue it as it's such an amazing fragrance.
I love Jazz, but it have never really "wowed" me. With a wow things can get boring, out of time, one geting tired of and so on. But Jazz just keeps going on and being on the top.

I salute one of the best fragrances of the glorious 80s When ysl was creating great masculine fragrances
Jazz was the very first perfume I bought! I'm feeling nostalgic.
My signature perfume in the late 80's. I still keep it in my collection. Also, I used two others something similar: Tsar VC&A and in the mid 90's, Safari RL.
Creed Viking is a replica of Jazz
Great review and I enjoyed it and I'm going to try it and have a blessed 🌙

Just found a vintage unopened bottle on eBay for a great price. Great review
Great review !! I hear a little elvis in you're singing voice :)
Did you ever try Jazz Prestige?
It was a much more concentrated version with a few subtle differences to the original Jazz 😉👌
That was my fav scent back in the day. I think it was my first fragrance i ever purchased

Great review and style as always Chris, but million dollar question....how much better is juice in original bottle ??
MUCH better, the plastic shell version is the best

Chris, great review. This was one of the very first fragrances I used to wear back in the day, at the start of my fragrance journey.

Wow! Being a huge Kouros fan, I'm intrigued!!! Soon my Jazz comes.
Is there a similar fragrance, alternative ????
Estimado cada vez que lo busco dicen que está descansando...
Mu pregunta es. Hay alguna fragancia que se parece?

Current version of JAZZ is cool

I hate to jump in kool aid but it reminds me of Fougere Royale by the house of Houbigant ...I own both they are very well done green scents

You are a true YSL connoisseur
@@scentland4753 Haha, i got some education and inspiration from you also Chris! Thanks!
Fantastic review. I love Jazz (Music) and I like this scent (sometimes in my rotation) Cheers from Madrid, with a glass of Yecla wine🍷.
Viva Madrid, gracias
This a masterpiece. When you htink of this line it is just outstanding ! Pour Homme, Rive gauche, Jazz and M7 !? C'mon this is a World class quartet !
Don't forget the King Kouros which is the absolute best!
@@alonsonomad74 Yes But i was talking about he Collection line (with the square bottles)

First 😉!!! superb review.
I love how this perfume smells, unfortunately all the bottles thay I've purchased have lost the top notes so you don't get the same aroma
Fresh, green goodness. Sad that it's very expensive today!
Wake up Saint Laurent!
You are discontinuing the good ones like Rive Gauche and Opium pour Homme Parfum and just focused in releasing 100 boring flankers of La Nuit de L'Homme 😂😂😂
The current Saint Laurent line is a disgrace and has nothing to do anymore with the legacy of the founder himself
Yeah they're pushing Y and L'Homme/La Nuit hardcore and completely neglecting the classical perfumery masterpieces that they released in the 70s, 80s, 90s and early 00s. I made a version of Ysl Jazz. It's very smooth.
I bought one for myself and my boss , it’s the best cologne I ever had , you’d be crazy not to buy this
One of my first as a youngster
Very Bebop Boogie Woogie Jazzy Review.
Fedora not necessary but preferred 😎
Crazy man👌😋
Miss those TRUE SCENTS from YSL 😢 .
Nowadays the maison is full boorish sweet bubblegummy crap .
Creed Viking is a clone of Jazz
? Try again
@@scentland4753 I'm telling you that Viking is a clone of Jazz. Try it
