Paul Sebastian was right up there with other Designer fragrances in the early 90’s. I was there! 😆 Seriously, it may have been a couple bucks cheaper but PS, Drakkar, Cool Water, Aramis, Obsession, Eternity, etc were all much higher priced back then than they are now. Polo too, but Polo is still pretty high for something as old as it is.
Oh I definitely believe it, but from a designer stand point now looking back it’s hard to picture it as a higher end product like YSL but I realize it was way different back then
This is one of my all-time favourites. I also have the concentré version, but I think the classic is superior. I never tried the re release, but I don't miss it, because I know it is not as good as the vintage. Great video indeed!
The re-release which I bought hoping to reecounter that unique zesty citric opening is no where near the original . A true waste of money for those wishing to repeat the YSL Pour Homme experience .... In addition a warning when buying vintage YSL pour HOmme .. in many bottles the top notes have gone sour and lacking the original freshness .... Its a hit en miss with this one .
@@17addidas thanks for having cleared my doubts about the new formulation. Anyway, I suspected this, as the quality of YSL's fragrances has been going down the cliff since the mid nineties. Regarding the lemon note of the vintage bottles I have, I must admit I have been lucky, so far.

I've looked around for that, but have had no luck finding any. Say... Please think about doing a "skanky citrus shootout"... This is one of my favorite barbershop fragrances, so invigorating and sophisticated , It makes you like Alpha and super confident. I feel like Robert De Niro in Casino with this 😁
Yes ! Everything about this fragrence says class ! Love the packaging and glass bottle design with the sprayer too. The green aftershave is really nice ! It is really great you also did a comparison with the new version too ! Your have really gone far by getting all the additional products. I look forward to the review of that black concentrate you also got, and of course compare it to the original - which I seem to remember is even more citrusy (I might be wrong). Nice to hear that your girlfriend also like this vintage scent. By the way, what is the deodorant stick (not spray) go for in USA ?
Great video, as always, Kelan. Have you tried Lamborghini Millennials, yet? It is one of the most underrated scents out there. It’s like a classic fougere, but with a touch of rhubarb to give it a bit of a modern kick to it. I really love it.
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey you should def try Millenials. It is a lot closer to a traditional fougere than any typical Lambo/Ferrari/Benz cheapie. Quite a nice surprise.

The last versions of this true classic ...are just Boring and very ephemeral in comparison to any of the vintage RED caps . A total waste of money considering the current seller prices .

Agree with that Loewe Pour Homme comparison. I actually prefer it by a hair. But they're both great scents.

The body line products are always awesome with the classics, the deo stick was like 20$
in them days no one needed niche fragrances as regular designer stuff used such high quality ingredients and was blended to perfection

I tried marbert Homme and it smelled like a one man show knock off but I have not tired the others
