Here's another tutorial with me working with the MPC Live 2. Today I'm going to show beatMakers how to sample and also how to lazy chop! This should get y'all sampling like pros! I know some of you don't own an MPC but its still cool to see the work flow tho! You never know, you may want one one day!

8:23 when the QLink pop out gets in ur way...
Hold the Q-Link Button down, then on the pop-up dialog box, deselect SHOW QLINKS STATUS WHEN TOUCHED. Presto! Sanity restored.

Alternatively, this can be disabled also from the preferences section.
Go to Settings>General, scroll to the bottom and uncheck SHOW QLINKS STATUS WHEN TOUCHED.
@@TripleXbeatz I wish AKAI would make the Q-link status jump to the left side when adjusting the end of a loop.
@@cd8578 that’s a great idea! I just turn the qlink status off most the time anyway. I remember what’s what mostly. But I might keep it on with a feature like that implemented.
You can also just use the touch screen to do it. I find it really easy and responsive

I wish the mpc would add a tuning vst within in the software for standalone. So for example if you have some 808’s you can quickly make sure it’s in the right key vs. listening to find the right key. Slows down the creative process

god I wish they would come out with an mpc 1000 color pattern for the live cause it look some much like it
Thank you for the tips. That threshold trick is dope, now I don’t have to push play and arm at the same time. When I sample with push and hold, I can’t play the samples at the same time.. It only allows one button at a time. Any tricks around that?
