Here in this Beatmaking video tutorial, I wanted to focus on simplicity and not overcomplicate the beat making workflow process on the mpc live mk2 or the mpc one. One of my goals is to keep it simple and fun as i dont want to get to technical with my creativity. i am working with the mpc live mk2 and the Elektron Analog heat for that extra touch to my sample bassed beat.

Dude you have helped convince me that all I need at this moment is the stand alone set up . And that’s what I’ve been using only
I know exactly what you mean and in the moment for me this set up works excellent, who knows maybe later on I will change my mind but for right now this has been extremely fun and that’s all that matters to me.
@@malobeats I’m learning keeping it simple is working for me
I love how you make sure that your happiness remains stable in connection to your gear & workflow. Not falling into the same gear combinations like everyone else. Even though it’s not the gear. It’s the creators.
This hits deep for me, I always remind myself “why” I’m doing this and it will keep me in deep focus on where I am. There’s so much content out there which is awesome but sometimes it could make us feel like we’re all over the place but as long as we’re focused on why we’re doing what we’re doing we keep the momentum and vibe flowing. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
@@malobeats I completely understand where your coming from. Because we all are subject to it. I’m glad you touched on that. Help people reconcile.
You said it yourself Malo "It's good for your soul". That is all that matters at the end of the day bro!
Appreacite you for taking the time to share the knowledge brother. Love
I love when you get deep with your music. Whenever I sit down and play with one of my samplers a little bit, I get that “good for my soul” feeling. You described it perfectly :)
This means a lot and I know the feeling is mutual. I’m so glad you took your time to share this info with me and also thank you for hanging out with me till the end of the video. Nothing but love and blessings to you Karen.
As long as the beats PHAT ! Who needs the expert finger drummer !
That’s right, are use any tools within the MPC that help me to like in my groove and rock with it. I appreciate you taking the time and sharing this.
This was inspiring man, glad I’m not the only one. After 15 years of worrying about making sure I had my stems right to send out it killed my creativity half the time. I’ll take that feeling of satisfaction over appeasing anyone on a professional level. I run the Isla S2400 and never use the 8 outs. I run everything through the 404 and just vibe to the grit! Much respect! 💯👊
I’m glad I’m not the only one, I noticed that my passion and love for this art only grows as a focus on the creative side and not get to lost in the technical side of things if I don’t need to do that. Nothing but love and blessings to you brother thank you for connecting with me here.
FUN is the Key!!!! Great vibes bro!
Hey brother, I appreciate you taking the time and hanging out with me on this one and also sharing your feedback. Blessings to you
The outro is the most valuable part of this video 🙏🏽
Always do what you love the way you love to do it!!
This hits deep brotha. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
I love what you said on the outro! Amen brother! 💜
Simple, straight to the point, respect the standalone workflow, this stuff really be soul fuel, already miss my akai ren, hoping to pick up the mpc live one day, keep it up!
Another great video. Super helpful and inspiring…can’t wait to get home to my MPC live 2..
Bro I love this video. It was great to see your workflow, chopping up, laying things down…
And I love that you make beats stand-alone. My latest beat (on my channel) was made fully standalone. I might have to get some gear like yours for compression and mastering. It could be a great addition to my setup.
Sick beat. Great informative video! Keep ‘em coming!
Love it keep making music and most of all have fun while creating it. Peace ✌️
Enjoying your vids. Recently moved to a SP404 mk2 to get back to basics, finding your sound and your workflow ethic exactly what I am now aspiring to, even down to the performance of FX. Now Have that compressor and a heat on my GAS list. Fave channel !!
Bro, this really means a lot and thank you for hanging out with me in this video. The Heat and the Comp and a special sauce on top of the beat that gives a nice touch but it’s an addition, the heavy lifting is in our MPCs but those extra devices do give an intestine sound 🔥🔥🙏🏽
Sampled this too TRACKLIB 🔥🔥🔥
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 video. I get it. Music is good for the soul. Peace
"Perform effects." You said Malo. I hope Akai adds the option to change the MPCs sample rate to 48khz, so we can use the SP404MK2 as our audio interface. Appreciate the video for us standalone heads escaping the mastering aspect using DAWs.
I pray they read your message, that would be such a welcoming addition 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Could not agree with this more 💯
Eres un maestro! I love how you feed your soul. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Sorry for my english
Great and entertaining videos as always. Keep it going brother ✌️
Dope fam 🔥👊🏻
Another 🔥 video
This means a lot brother thank you so much for taking the time.
Thanks for the tips my man real appreciated!
Straight 🔥
Here come the Sample Bats!
Lol 😂
Wait… Sampling “Bats”??! Lol - Malo, come on, brother. 😜 But - awesome video as usual. Keep them coming!
💎 💎 💎 Thanks Malo 🔥. Much respect brother. 1
Thank you.
Sick 🔥🔥🔥
Yo, we need to collaborate on a track really soon bro
Vicious skills bro I'll be checking you out dope content 👌
Excellent video 🤙🏾what Issac hayes Album is that track from??
Seeing as you have an sp404mk2 couldn’t you get the same result using the effects on that? Especially the 303 sim for that analog dirty type of compression, I’d think it would compare to either the EHX or analog heat. And to top it off you could just resample the beat onto the SP foregoing the need for recording into your DAW, right?
Where can I get those kicks, snares and hats?👀🔥
If I had to get one: should I get a compressor/dynamics petal or analog heat?
I may get both, along with other processors (reverb, delay) but out of the two above if I had to get one one which one should I start with?
If I could only choose one i probably would get the heat since the mpc does have a decent sounding compressor that would do the job. I would add that compressor on my master bus within the MPC then shoot out my signal into the analog heat for that overall thickness sound
@@malobeats Literally just grabbed the mpc live 2 (black) like right now.....can't wait to get started and share with my sounds.. And as always bro you are much appreciated 🙏💫🎶
Just a suggestion, you should do a patreon with in depth advanced techniques for mixing, mastering, and using outboard gear that would be lit thanks bro
What does it mean to “stem out” your beats?
Simple is the best way. All the classic sample based beats are simple with only 3/4 tracks used.
Too many producers over cook their beats and ruin the mix.
🙏
🙏🏽
I got a question and I can't find the answer on RUclips how do I play multiple pads at the same time on the MPC Live 2 if you got a video on this send me the link
Hey can you dm me in ig ? I can send you a quick video how to do it. My ig is malo_beats
What are the advantages of using the outboard effects as opposed to the MPC internal effects?
physical control over what you feel by moving knobs and pressing buttons that are there, making the machine an instrument without a screen, something that reacts to what my body commands
Maybe is this?
More fun and tactile nothing more nothing less. Just like CDs and MP3 files. You can grab a CD but you can't grab MP3 file. Its way more convenient to have thousands of mp3 songs on your hard drive rather than having 300 CDs for that. But if you don't know what you want you can get lost very easily in that large hard drive but not in a CD. Sometimes limitations is freedom.
Your kiks be hittin
Nice lamp where’s you get it @?
Are you talking about the light stick that you see in the intro of the video?
Check out this video I did a few weeks back where I go through my lighting in my videos and I have links to those lights that I’m using in the description of the video. ruclips.net/video/TUKKMhtPHVw/видео.html
@@malobeats so it’s the one you had set up behind you in the video?
