You said you hate the adaptive cruise control because it leaves too much of a gap. Why don’t you just make the gap adjust smaller? That’s what I do with my SLT.
The premium lighting and gloss black trim comes on lt trim level with sport package… not just ltz and zr2. Aside from tires and wheels, you have to go up close to see the difference in a well opted lt and a zr2 appearance wise
For everyone saying the AEV option is overly expensive, try building your own version with aftermarket parts that isn’t from temu and see just how much “cheaper” it really is. One of the reasons AEV is expensive in general, especially their bumpers is because they don’t look DIY and unlike most aftermarket bumper manufacturers, these won’t start to rust within 6 months.
It’s not odd at all. I live 8 miles off road and currently drive a TRX that I ordered in 2022. Before the TRX I had a gen2 raptor which did great off road as well. The problem with the TRX and raptor is the towing capacity isn’t enough for my needs so I’m looking for a heavy duty truck. I loved my raptor and I love the TRX but I’d rather not buy a heavy duty truck specifically for towing if I can get something like this ZR2 or AT4X to cover everything. My only concern with a heavy duty truck where I live is the snow/ice. I’ve never had luck with a heavy duty truck in snow simply because of the load range E tires and stiff suspension. This or the GMC AT4X is where my concentration is. I’ve not had good luck with all three Ford’s I’ve had in terms of reliability and I just can’t go with a Ram HD because I can’t do a year 1 truck since. they will have all the updates coming out in 2025 and everyone knows there will be bugs. My hesitation with the GM products are the lack of control of the traction control. I can’t find any info on being able to turn of TC completely like I can in the TRX and the raptor. Either way, these new off road offerings from GM are beautiful.
I've got a '24 non-AEV, love it. Lakeshore blue too, one of the best colors which they won't put on the new ZR2s (wtf is wrong with GM??). 5k on it so far, rides great, way more power than I need. The financially smart option for me would have been an LT gasser, but....
If you don’t need all the off road gear 100%. However if you’re going to buy an LT and add suspension, upper and lower control arms, wheels, tires, a locker, bumpers and skid plates you could easily spend $20k.
@@zandewartrue it’ll be more money up front but at the end of the day you’re gonna be paying more in interest if you buy a 97k rather than buy like a 75k truck
I have a 2024. Does anyone have information on mounting a plow. Both Boss and Western plow companies can’t install a plow on my truck due to the AEV front bumper. I do have the snowplow prep package. Thanks in advance
I was leaning heavily towards the gmc at4x aev. I do like the exterior design more but it’s 10k more vs the zr2 bison which I don’t see where the extra price comes from. Plus I’ve found Chevy more willing to negotiate some with price. I might be leaning towards this.
IDK how well the trail boss will do in the 2500 segment. Unless you are going with a less optioned LT trim. LTZ in my opinion with the trail boss package is way to close to the ZR2 pricing and is on par with AT4 from GMC. And for whatever reason, I have heard that the Trail boss rides terrible. IDK why that would be. It might make a little more sense in the one ton segment since the ZR2 is not available. But then again you can get an AT4 not the X in the one ton segment as well for basically the same money. When you’re in that price range of vehicle another couple thousand doesn’t really even matter at that point.
looks super sharp. but everyone knows a hundred grand gonna need to get you way more than that overall package. auto execs still smokn' too much of the good stuff..
The truck is awesome, does everything well and is the best HD on the market. Had mine 3 months got it for under $90k, exactly the same as the one in the video.
I got exactly the same specd and color, MSRP was $95+k and I got it for $90 even. Love the truck, I’ve done 4K miles in 3 months. I drove 2 AT4X HDs, but for some reason found the ZR2 more comfortable and better looking, I really like the interior, all black is boring. Importantly it’s also significantly cheaper than the GMC, which ended up about $15k more than the ZR2 because none of the dealers would discount. Seems GMC buyers have deep pockets and pay full price. Find a ZR2 that’s been on the lot for a while and you can get a good even great deal. I wasn’t looking for a Bison, but it was cheaper than the AT4X HD non AEV.
I feel like the interior is not talked about enough. Aren’t the bolsters a little bigger/ better??? The zr2 in 1500 and 2500 are so incredibly comfortable
I belive GM IS going TO PAINT there frames on the new 2026 - 1500, & 2027 - 2500 & 3500 HD's..... pickups.. 😊 They are painting the 2025 frames on the 2500 & 3500 Express & Savana Van's this year. 😊
Wow, almost a 100k. Who can afford it, at 5% for 6 years zero down you're looking at $1600 a month. Awesome truck though. My 2024 4 TRD Pro was 57k. I traded in a paid off Tacoma and got 31k for it, for 6 years its $600. That's my highest ever payment. My house payment is $1810.
Still doesn’t beat GMC with layout, leather quality and etc… to close to GMC just go and get the GMC version. Second note, doesn’t get any of them. Wait to get a used one as the used marked is dropping like a rock. Mitigate your losses by buying used.
The stupid white dealership sticker on the black part of tailgate……… I’d walk away you know it’s going to mess it up trying to remove it. why do dealerships do that
Loving mine so far, about to hit 2k
Anyone that pays that kind of money for that vehicle, is what's wrong with America today.
I just hit 100 miles - 😊
good luck saving any money for your retirement. Remember the decision you made before running to the government for money down the road.
@branmichaluk445 I disagree, as an American we have choices. Not my choice, but if he is happy so be it
You said you hate the adaptive cruise control because it leaves too much of a gap. Why don’t you just make the gap adjust smaller? That’s what I do with my SLT.
beacuse some people dont know how to adjust it....
The technology package price increased, but that also now includes standard adaptive cruise control, which was an option before.
The premium lighting and gloss black trim comes on lt trim level with sport package… not just ltz and zr2. Aside from tires and wheels, you have to go up close to see the difference in a well opted lt and a zr2 appearance wise
Weird. Had to go out and check my 2024 ZR2 Bison. It is actually "ZR2" stamped in my bed, not a Bowtie.
So what was the difference between the 24 and 25?
Love your reviews.
Wish it had the lights in the fender flares
It seems odd to me that someone would spend $100K for a 3/4 ton diesel ZR2. When no one goes off roading with a 3/4 ton diesel.
Offroad it or not its a dam good looking truck and if you have the money to blow who gives a dam what they do with the truck.
It’s more for the capability to tow your rig (side by side / ultra4 etc) to the trail site without getting stuck.

I take my 2500 duramax offroad all the time, but I don't wheel it like it would a jeep. I deff wish it had more ground clearance and less rough a ride
I got this exact same package on Monday from Riverton Chevy. Loving it!
@troyholl99 What is your Monthly costs for owning your truck??
I just want those bumpers to put on a custom
They should just offer it as and option for all there trucks
AEV plans to sell them aftermarket. Maybe late fall.

really sharp looking truck but soo much money
I have the 24 version and I don’t believe it has the front censors on the front aev bumper
Jb you've got to do a review on the 2025 ram 1500 tungsten... thanks!
AEV needs a redesign on the rear bumper the built in step delete make it looks off the front bumper is awesome!
agreed! back bumper is plastic
3:01 “…I’m definitely probably gonna get one…”🤣
I have a Power Wagon and Jeep that I off-road often. I have yet to see any AEV Chevys on any off-road trail.
Can you buy the AEV bumpers through the dealer? If not, how do you replace if you get in an accident or do something stupid?
24 models didn’t have the front park assist, glad they put in 25 but I wish mine had it.
How did we park before 🤔
How quiet is the cab and how soft & comfortable are the seats
Gm seats suck
The seats are terrible i had hoped they would break in but it's still like a board with a seat cover on it a year later.
Getting a new bumper will involve a lot of work fitting it - it's not simple plug and play. The whole interior attachments are different.

They need to bring back adjustable pedals and seat massagers. C’mon GM. Get it together.
Sounds like you need to just trade and get this truck.
JB, Im looking for a 3/4 ton diesel pick up. In your opinion. Which one is the best bang for the buck. Im not a brand fanboy.
Chevy Custom.
is this truck still available?

The new game: $300 a month car insurance
More than that
That’s your fault my 2025 Ltz 35000 duramax is 85 a month
$116 for me, I have a clean record.
Holy sh*t time to shop around lol
What?? 😂
$25,000 Overpriced!!!!!
Totally agree. I would love to see a materials cost sheet vs overhead/production costs.
So is
gas
Groceries
Power
Rent
Mortage
And n e thing else you buy with money

If they would put that juiced up L8P in this truck, I'd take that over the diesel anyday, especially if I was really going to offroad it.
NEEDS TO BE A 3500!
Lakeshore blue looked cool on this truck idk why they removed it
I agree. GM has some ugly ass colors. Hope they bring back dark grey, and a nice dark blue. That purple color they offer is hideous.
From what I can tell is the 2025 has front parking sensors and the 2024 did not have it.
The duramax badge bling is cool with me , you paid for that engine, why not floss a bit.

I don’t like GM garbage, but this is a nice looking truck. Also, far too overpriced and should be at least $20K cheaper
Aev package is overpriced.. for what you get.. you should get a winch automatically....
100k is way overpriced. Especially going into a massive recession
Recession? Oh stop
Beautiful truck but not the bison package
Price and color choices is only difference on 2025. Aka RIP OFF
😢😢
100k FOR THIS?.....NO
I’ll take my 2024 Ltz Duramax over that for $85,000
Always reveal the price at the end of the video 😂 As soon as I hear 90k I ended it
2600 pound payload=WeakSauce
These trucks are for rich people
Idiots
I am paying 300$ a monthly for a 4 year old Nissan Sentra in New Jersey outside Philadelphia for the last 4 years..... . .So thats cheaper 😢
The paint quality on the 25s are garbage!
As soon as I saw the price I clicked off, ridiculous.
They will never out sell a Ford!
Who cares
I put $15k in my 2011 GMC SLE, 500HP Duramax, it looks better and will out pull that $97k concrete princess
