I bought the exact same 2024 trail boss last month, 48k out the door. Only difference is mine also has a sunroof and is a 5.3ltr, im not paying way more for premium fuel for a bit more power that I dont need anyway. All in all, sweet truck, lots of compliments
and if you wanted that ZR2 look you could add a front skid plate for not much. I am looking at a Chevy Colorado Trail Boss and doing the same, adding 17" rims, 34" all terrain tires, a 2" lift on top of the factory 2" lift, making it look like a ZR2 but doing it over time so I don't have to have a $46K truck but can get the CTB for $36K after advertised dealer rebates then I can add the other stuff over time so I don't have to get under a bigger loan. Everyone wants everything NOW instead of taking their time. But I guess if you can afford it. I love my midsized trucks, I have owned 4 since 1999. They are the perfect size for a single guy, no wife, no kids, no girlfriend.
I don't know if I'd say the trail boss is irrelevent, I always thought of it in terms like the difference between tundra's trd off-road vs trd-pro. The trailboss in LT with 6.2l and those packages probably doesn't make sense compared to the zr2, but I think the trail boss in custom with the 5.3l is a great value for an off-road trim/package.
Ageee, I had a 2023 custom trial boss with 5.3, and now own the Lt trail boss with 6.2, I really love the 6.2, but I much prefer the custom trim. Wish they would put the 6.2 in the custom trim
I just bought a Silverado trail boss with the diesel. If you want all the features go with zr2 if you don’t care to be missing some features then go with trail boss.
curious if you or any of your subscribers have noticed a loose steering feel with the ZR2 ? I have a 2024 with 6.2 ZR2 love everything about the truck except the steering feel. Have changed the oil at 1500 miles & plan to take it in at 5,000 miles for my Free oil change.
Trail Boss out sells the ZR2. Trail Boss is the all around truck that can do it all. ZR2 with the lower payload is best for off-roading but is awesome.
I’ve searched high and low in your channel and many others. I’ve tried calling dealers all around to check door sticker, but I’ve failed every time. You have any idea or suggestions on how I can locate the Payload and 5th wheel towing on a 2025 Chevy 3500 LT 4WD Gas SRW w/ options including Convenience I & II & Safety Package. Basically looking for SRW Gas 1 Ton w/ nearly every safety feature & seats 6. Thx, Andy
I had a 21 trail boss and it was junk. My bought it back and gave me a deal on a new truck. ordered a 24 fully loaded and passed when it came in. after all the price is was a no brainer to go up to the 2500 ZR2 way more truck.
Got the 24 ZR2 duramax. Got 7500 off msrp back in January. The zr2 has a higher gvwr. Still has a 1500lb payload and since im spending that much money it makes me feel more justified having the fancy shocks, more wheel travel, better approach angle, lockers, better tires, loaded interior etc. if i spent 60k and didn’t get all that I’d feel bitter. That’s just me
@ I got it at Knudsen in post falls Idaho. I bought 3 years of services and additional protections and still came out a couple thousand under sticker out the door.

I would like to see these two in a 2500. Nice job JB.

@@joshuaw2988You can get the 6.2 in a Custom Trail Boss from like 2019 to 2022
ZR2 for sure
I like both Trucks,it’s up to the buyers choice!

Awesome video
Keep it up.
Love to see the 2025 Yukon xl at4 ultimate review please

one Needs to go custom trail boss

How much did you pay out the door and what dealership did you get it at? Thinking about picking up the same truck at the end of the year
@ I got it at Knudsen in post falls Idaho. I bought 3 years of services and additional protections and still came out a couple thousand under sticker out the door.
Both nice and both overpriced
They offer massive discounts on these silverados
Trail Boss will depreciate a lot faster though if you’re in the market for one
Discounts are largest on the Trail Boss making it WAY cheaper than the ZR2 in the end.
Just me, both nice, but the ZR2 overall has a lot going for it.
All or nothing, I went for the pure power 6.2 gas 2024 LT Trail Boss, Slate Gray, Cloth interior .
Love my 24 slate gray metallic custom 5.3
Over $70k for a couple of 1500’s? No thanks. Got to be a 2500 for that price
Trailboss all day long. 😊
6.2 ZR2 all the way.
There pretty good pavement trucks. I had a 2020 trailboss 5.3. I hated it like a bad head cold.
Thankfully I'm identifie as a POWER WAGON 😅
Definitely the Trail Boss.
