Distance and length is hard to tell in these videos. How long are the pier/dock there? From what I can tell, you could tie 2 20 something boats nose to tail on them? Also, is there only one small channel into/out of the ramp area? AND Is it what, 100 feet wide or less? Around here, at least where I boat at, we don't have any pier/dock beside the ramp. The dock is a 20X30 about 100+ feet away with only 3 sides exposed. Most ramps can handle 4 to 6 at a time (Most likely more if people knew how to back) All of the ramp areas are pretty much wide open and the ones that aren't, the inlet is at least 300+ feet wide. Anyway, from what I could tell, the broken boat had more than enough room to tie at the end of the pier/dock using mid-cleat and front cleat leaving more than enough room for the loading boat. It is a shame other "Boaters" wouldn't help.....
This is different from the ramp etiquette here in Jax. Here, the next trailer to get to the ramp has the right of way. There's no holding your place in line by tting your boat to the dock first. But most of our docks also have room to tie to a cleat away from the ramp.
Not for nothing, but when you are blocked at the ramp when you've tied up and getting your truck, you don't necessarily have to go to that ramp. Your boat probably has a working motor and you can also move your boat. Just back your trailer down the first available ramp and drive your boat to it. I've done this many times. The docks at the ramp I use are much longer and you can dock 3 boats deep on them and still have room to launch a smaller boat (22 ft and under)
I've never seen anything like this and I've been fishing for 40+ years. Maybe it's an american thing but in Canada at least where I'm from everyone would be lining up to help the poor guy.

One of the best days of my life is the day I got my boat. The very best day of my life was the day I got rid of it.
Good thing there wasn't any wind!
This is different from the ramp etiquette here in Jax. Here, the next trailer to get to the ramp has the right of way. There's no holding your place in line by tting your boat to the dock first. But most of our docks also have room to tie to a cleat away from the ramp.
And this is why I quit boating after 40 years, i sure miss old Florida
Not for nothing, but when you are blocked at the ramp when you've tied up and getting your truck, you don't necessarily have to go to that ramp. Your boat probably has a working motor and you can also move your boat. Just back your trailer down the first available ramp and drive your boat to it. I've done this many times. The docks at the ramp I use are much longer and you can dock 3 boats deep on them and still have room to launch a smaller boat (22 ft and under)
Why doesn't everyone on the boat get on the back? Ppl have no common sense
Numerous people saying the same thing. Pay close attention to what there doing.
I've never seen anything like this and I've been fishing for 40+ years. Maybe it's an american thing but in Canada at least where I'm from everyone would be lining up to help the poor guy.
Not in Ontario. Most people here were not born here. Thank you Trudeau’s!
@@tomrogers9467 there was actually more immigration during Harper than Trudeau... But thanks for showing your racism.
I went fishing with my coworker and saw someone signaling for help. I was like we have to help them , it's the law. Man he was mad as hell but the jetski just died and he towed her to her dock. Man, what a day.
