Just want to neutralize at least one of the negative comments. The woman is not annoying, she sounds nice to talk to, and has her own point of view. Don't listen to these 2019 youtube snobs that don't realize this was shot on a flip phone in 2011 in all likelihood on a windy-ass spring day.

Everybody in the comments is so rude to the poor lady. She was just recording as much as she could. It's not like she is a professional filmer. Why would she stop talking? She is with her family/friends.

I never even noticed the woman's voice, until went back and listened again, do to your comment. I found nothing irritating about her voice at all.
Those who do, must of had a bad experience with a woman who sounds like that.

LOL!

I see people on the one boat. Wouldn't you drive the boat out into deep water and ride over the wave to save the vessel?

    • @augkeepitreal3064
      @augkeepitreal3064 6 лет назад

You would think so because you're given plenty of time to take your boat out into deeper water where you wouldn't have any issues whatsoever. Most people think that there's some big wave that comes across the ocean and it's a big wave in length but as far as height it's only two to three feet tall. But once it gets close to the shore where it's shallower it is pretty much so like an extreme tide change from low tide to high tide that happens very quick.

I'm always feel sorry for people who lose they're property because of Mother Nature, but lets face it,a few boats that were probably insured means nothing in the larger scale of things, like the huge loss of life, property meaning homes/businesses in Japan plus the psychological effects of afterward and long term suffering,a few boats means nothing in the scheme of things.

Following a massive 8.9 magnitude earthquake that occurred off of the east coast of Japan were over 20,000 thousand were killed , a tsunami hit the coast of California on March 11, 2011.The tsunami, which arrived at Santa Cruz as a 3-foot rise in the water, sank 14 boats, damaged up to 50 others, and caused an estimated $26 million in damage to the Santa Cruz Harbor. ( No doubt California is subject to a major tsunami event also )

Any comparison of this tsunami annoyance that cost a handful of people some property damage to the tragedy that cost thousands their lives is absurd. I wish people would learn to use their video cameras properly. Maybe they should be tested the same as when you
learn to drive a car a few lessons wouldn't go astray lol

Absolutely lousey camera handling. STAY ON TARGET, try that next time. Tell people around you to be quiet and not let it out of the bag that they have no control of their mouth.

These people should get in a car and drive about ten miles inland to higher ground.

I can't believe everyone went to look, isn't it best to get to higher ground, That's why they named that island Phuket, many years ago when it was first struck with a tsunami, everyone out of curiosity went to look walking out beyond the shoreline to see more, when the water came back the last words were phucket

Pugwash Diver Hu??? No... this is a well documented result of The extraordinary Japanese earthquake and subsequent Tsunami which traveled across the Pacific... first hitting Hawaii and finely reaching California less than a day later.
Tsunamis have nothing to do with tides.

Hard to believe how ANY one needs to build a house as big as the ones on the top of the banks and they only a few feet between them Perfect for a house fire to burn down all of them

Typical Santa Cruz, CA. Hear a tsunami's coming, and the whole town has to gather on the bridge in the harbor to watch. Ha!!

I’m feeling motion sickness just from the constant moving around and shaking of the camera. Would have been a great video had she moved around a little slower.
