The BLP/GC3 don’t give those numbers and cost thousands of dollars more than the ST+. For more data (and similar accuracy), I’ll live with the shot delay and smaller hitting area.
Ye it’s an odd one that - I pulled that from some website to give a visual but later realised that could be an error. If anyone can confirm that would be great 👍🏼
Interesting that the lip is supposed to be used for an alignment stick as that suggests that the skytrak device should sit perfectly perpendicular to the target line. When I use the alignment light feature on my skytrak, it shows me that it should sit slightly open.
I’ve always found the alignment on SkyTrak to be a bit awkward - and when I was learning how to align my SkyTrak original, it seemed like many people had different stories/versions of how it aligned! Maybe it’s the same with this new model. Something they really need to nail down I think
Okaaaaay... but are you going to upgrade? LOL I had one of the first units shipped and it had some squirrelly issues. I got an email this week that the lasted software update had fixed the corkscrew like ball flight I was seeing all to often on chip shots. Unfortunately, I had sent it back already and could not test the update. Instead of getting a replacement I decided to sit on the sidelines for a bit and see what happens with the software and firmware updates. GSPro was mentioned in the video as a possibility but from what I understand, so far at least, there is no connector available for it. There seems to be some chatter about waiting to see what happens with the E6 Connector and then trying to connect the plus up to GSPro. I haven't kept up on all that since I no longer have one. I really wanted this to work out for me as I think it could be the best under $4k unit to get for practice and maybe even sim because the subscriptions are reasonable, unlike BLP or EyeMini which cost more.
Right now, no I won’t be upgrading. I think if I do upgrade one day it will likely be to the GC3 but that all depends on whether I can afford it at the time! I saw a video yesterday detailing how you can connect the ST+ to GSPro and it works, however putting is not quite sorted yet so it is recommended to use autoputt. Im sure there will be a connector that works well at some point. I really liked the ST+ when I tested it out and it worked really well for pretty much every shot that I hit. If money wasn’t an object I’d have no issues upgrading my setup to this unit. But like I said I think I will save and wait for a GC3!
@@hcpgolf so you had the software on a laptop and hardwired hdmi to the projector? Or running off a laptop and screen mirroring? Can you screen mirror off iPhone/ipad to a streaming device? Like a Roku stick, firestick, Apple TV, Nvidia shield pro? I currently use the mlm2pro and screen mirror it with a Nvidia shield pro to my projector. It works great. Just wondering if this is possible with the skytrak because I just bought one and it’s on its way to my house….lol
Have a question for you on the ST +. I can't get through a round of golf on E6 or even the practice range without the unit losing connection. I have an excellent wi-fi set-up in my house so it is not a wi-fi problem. Is this normal ?
I’ve not had a huge amount of experience with ST+ and playing simulator rounds with E6, but I do have similar problems with my original SkyTrak and I’ve found that USB mode is a lot more reliable rather than network mode.
Can you use e6 on this if you don’t have the better plan and do you get any courses for free like on the mevo? Also how much was the better plan? Don’t think you said how much for that one.
In this video we were using a computer. You can use iPhone/iPad/tablet as well for the SkyTrak software. If you want to play courses on the simulator then I would recommend getting a gaming computer 👍🏼⛳️
Hi pal so in your opinion is it worth the upgrade from. Skytrak? To the + I use my sky track out doors into a net and have no issues at all had it 3 years now.
If you have the budget then go for the update. If you’re just going to use your launch monitor to play simulator courses go for the original SkyTrak. If you like to know data and looking to improve your game/swing then go for the ST+

Sorry I saw a comment about testing with foam balls, but wasn’t sure if they were asking if you’ve done tests with foam balls, or will skytrack work with foam balls? I’m curious if it works with foam balls. Thanks. Great video.
I haven’t done a video using foam balls but I did do one with 30% golf balls. SkyTrak will pick up the direction of the shot with these balls but the spin isn’t realistic so ultimately the final outcome of the shot won’t be true to real life
I never did much testing with the shorter shots to be honest - from the few short shots I did hit it seemed to be ok but I wasn’t focusing on it really. Its a great idea for a future video 👍🏼⛳️
Works well on the short shots for me. I am having issues with longer shots. Getting mis reads on 8 iron or lower. For some reason get a massive path and face number that i know im not doing. Must be a set up issue somewhere

Great video Mitch! Also that guy is way too tall to be standing next to you, but to his credit he's getting better and better on camera! ;) That shot lag is just a deal breaker. I'm sure I could get used to it, but any time you have friends over (whom you want to impress with your baller setup) they're going to be like "what the hell?!?" So for me, the clear leader in the clubhouse right now is the Eye Mini. Would love your thoughts on that kit. Cheers from Denver mate!

Hey Mitch, what size room do you think is suitable for using the skytrak as I’m looking at getting an extension done and changing from my Mevo plus to sky track as this would reduce costs of building a larger size room? Any help would be appreciated mate
I found the source of that table. Everywhere else including vids on yt where the person has said they’ve spoken to Skytrak engineers have said the only measured clubhead data is club speed. Everything else is calculated. If that is the case then the new unit is really not a significant upgrade and they could have easily ported the calculated club data to the old Skytrak

Sucks to be in the UK. We’re left with this when Americans can buy a refurbished BLP for $3k direct from Bushnell with warranty

Why is the delay on the Skytrak devices scrutinized so much and yet the delay on a $22k Trackman, which is about the same if not longer, is never mentioned?
You will get used to the delay. Hitting in a simulator…by the time you hit and then you are watching for your ball coming back to you, the shot goes. The first thing I always do Is hit, then watch the ball to stop it back on my mat. I don’t care about a tiny delay. Dont even notice it

Don’t want to be rude to the guy from golfswingsystems but if you’re selling a 3k unit like this that’s something you should know or at the very least just admit you don’t know rather than state something incorrect that’s very significant

14:13 on the video shows Angle of attack being directly measured? What’s up with that? It’s not listed anywhere or on the interface.

My mat is on grass so it’s ever so slightly moves when I stand on it. Would you have the sky trak on the mat or set it up in the grass with the stand?

In this video did you have the skytrak setup wirelessly via screen mirroring through a iPad or what? Didn’t see any wires.
Wireless connection. Using the SkyTrak PC software hooked up to the projector 👍🏼⛳️

You need the play and improve package to get the free E6 courses. I believe that package is around $250/£250 per year 👍🏼⛳️

Golf Swing Systems are based out of a place in Warrington called The Golf Projx if that’s not too far from you. You can demo the ST+ there 👍🏼⛳️

How does it work on short shots ?
Up to 30 yards for example? Could see it being really useful around tge chipping green to dial in the numbers

It doesn’t matter - as long as you can swing a club the SkyTrak will work 👍🏼⛳️
In the table you showed it says that the attack angel is measured. Can you see it displayed when playing?

Everything else is calculated. If that is the case then the new unit is really not a significant upgrade and they could have easily ported the calculated club data to the old Skytrak
